This place is the real deal. You can tell right away the focus is on the animals' wellbeing, not entertainment. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and they take the time to educate you on each animal's story--how they got there, what they've been through, and how they're being cared for now. It sticks with you. We went with the kids and cousins, and they were completely locked in the whole time (which, as a parent, you know is no small feat). It's engaging without feeling like a zoo--more like a respectful, up-close learning experience. The living environments are thoughtfully done and clearly designed with care, given the nature of rescue work. Nothing felt exploitative--just people doing good work for animals that deserve it. If Tiger King left you feeling a little uneasy about how these animals are treated, this place restores some faith. Easy 5 stars. Would go back in a heartbeat.

I genuinely never expected to say this in my lifetime but... I fed a tiger!…read more National Tiger Sanctuary was such an incredible experience from start to finish. The moment we arrived, the staff made it clear that safety and animal care come first. This is not just walking around staring at animals behind fences. You learn their stories, why they are there, and how much work goes into giving them a good life. Seeing the white tigers up close during the feeding tour was unreal. Getting the chance to safely give chicken treats using assisted feeding tubes with guidance from staff was something I never expected when we decided to stop here. The setup felt safe on both sides of the enclosure and respectful to the animals, which I really appreciated. What really stood out to me was how much enrichment the animals have. You can tell they are stimulated and thoughtfully cared for. The staff shared details about their routines, personalities, and special needs, which made everything feel meaningful instead of just a photo opportunity. It is fully outdoors, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for natural terrain. I went when the heat was intense and brought a UV blocking umbrella, which I highly recommend if you are sensitive to sun or heat. It is absolutely worth the walk and a little shade hunting to meet and support these beautiful animals. The team is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate, and you can feel that in every interaction. If you love big cats and want an experience that feels ethical, educational, and still surprisingly close up, this is a place worth supporting. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Ugh, I just got done running home to get a utility bill to show to renew my library card. I've had…read morea library card here for 5 years. First when it was a private library and I donated money for an annual card and now the second year since it has become a public library. I voted YES to it becoming public because I grew up appreciating having access to a library. Now, seeing how elderly the population is here, I hope more and more benefits will be developed for them through this community library. Short version to my mediocre star rating is based on the inefficiency of the one website that the staff can utilize to confirm residency, its ineffectual. As a resident of 5 years and a tax payer for 5 years, I could not be found. I sympathize with people further out of town, the elderly, new commers, and previous or on-going library patrons having to prove who they are past showing their drivers license. The information my paper file they hold has the exact same information that appears on my drivers license! I'm an election judge in Taney county, and the legal residence in the United States are allowed to vote legally easier than trying to obtain a library card here. I receive surveys to better this library and diligently fill them out. I hope this note goes towards addressing this issue. The library staff deserves better tools to assist guests to this library. Thank you,

For decades, I have only been buying my books at the Friends of the Library bookstores around the country. The money goes to support the library. The community donates their books, most of them brand new and hardbound. This is the BEST Friends Bookstore I have ever seen. I come to Branson several times a year, and I load up on books.
