The drink is solid, if not a little extra sweet. The baristas were very kind and helpful. I ordered a 16 ounce iced latte, pumpkin and vanilla, with an extra shot. It was $2 for the extra shot, no problem I can get behind that. Then an extra $1 for the added flavor, okay okay, fair enough I suppose. BUT then an extra $1 on top of that for a "custom drink fee". So already got charged for the added flavor (the custom part of my order) and on top of it get charged ANOTHER dollar. Seems a little off to me.

I was in need of some coffee on our day exploring Ketchikan. This place is closest to the cruise port. I can tell this place is kinda new; staff was somewhat pleasant; not rude but also not very friendly. We learned on our excursion (because I was bragging about the coffee) that it's a husband wife duo local who owns the place. We placed like 10 orders at once since we had a large group. And they got all those drinks out super quickly. I was very impressed. I feel like most places you go these days have turtle speed and aren't worried about how slow they are. This was not the case here. The lady behind the counter was lightening fast and we truly appreciated that. All the drinks were really tasty. The best coffee shop we found in Alaska by far.

Cute little shop. Delicious coffee! I got the elephant chai with a shot of espresso and I'm very impressed! Also the lady at the desk was friendly and kind.

I ordered an elephant vanilla & green tortoise chai. Both were delicious, and $5.50 for 12 oz. Service was great & there was seating inside.

Iced Hazelnut Latte and Iced Elephant Vanilla w/ Oat Milk

Cute little coffee shop just a few minutes away from the cruise terminal. Perfect place to grab a coffee or chai while walking around town. The shop has a handful of tables and chairs to sit and relax. The best part of the shop is their chai options. If you like chai, they have a few options that are unique and different than the average chai latte. The elephant vanilla has definitely ruined the chai for me at the big box chain coffee shops.

The Pioneer Cafe seems to have been around for 100 years and with food and service that great, they…read morewill be open for another 100 years. We saw a sign on the window that said they had a Reindeer Hotdog on the menu, and since the restaurant was pretty crowded, we stopped in to get some food to go. The counter had two empty seats so we were able to sit while waiting for our food to get cooked and packed up. The servers were very busy making ice cream shakes and serving plenty of plates with large portions of food at very reasonable prices. This is NOT a tourist trap but a great place to go for a home cooked meal with lots of love on the plate. The reindeer hotdog was delicious so I expect all of the food to be great and on my next visit to Ketchikan, this will be my first stop. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The fries and waffle should have been cooked more til crisp, but the group "snack" hit the spot at nearly 10pm when they closed. The whole menu is served all day! Went another time for the chicken fried steak, asked them to hold one out of the three eggs, should have also told them to hold the hashbrowns since there was no way I was going to be able to eat all that food (also comes w/toast or biscuit) before getting on a plane. Was told the omelette was great and huge as well. Met the need.
