Tour guide recommended to check this place out. You can tel it's locally owned, they were packaging stuff while we were looking in the store. I really like how they have everything so neatly placed and the "aesthetic". They had samples with of their salmon on rjtz crackers and it was really really good. The cashier was really friendly too and was attentive.

This town is known for its salmon, and this store has it in spades. It's a tiny space, but they have salmon basically stacked to the ceiling in there. Someone is passing out samples at the entrance (to entice people to come inside).

This is a great location to find some the best salmon you've ever had. We've first visited Salmon Etc. when we cruised to Alaska earlier this year. The location is quaint and the proprietors were awesome. There are samples of the smoked salmon, as well as salmon dip made from the same salmon. It was delicious. So much so, that we had to order more after we ran out of the product we purchased on our trip. Thanks to the staff at Salmon Etc. for being so pleasant and informative.

Salmon ETC is recommended by our cruise ship shopping activity director. They have recommended we stop by to support the local product. The store is a small strip of the plaza. Very easy to miss it if you walk by and not notice it. This store carry all wild caught salmon. We were here looking for belly portion Smoke Sockeye Wild Caught Salmon. This is the premium grade smoke salmon and it is very good. We goof two packages. Each package is $19.95. Worth the money. We have taste the different smoke salmon in the store. But none like this pepper smoke sockeye salmon. They do carry many other item include caviar.

I traveled to Ketchikan in May of 2023 and came across Salmon Etc. It's a smaller store but they are incredibly knowledgeable about the products they sell. They provided samples of all their smoked products and the manager Garrett even opened up other products for us try. He was also very accommodating and personable to my autistic son who loves fish, he explained all the differences between the salmon to him. Ended up buying a case of the Fancy Smoked Sockeye and he shipped to us for free. Best Salmon we had in Alaska. If you go to Ketchikan go to Salmon Etc.

Please support local businesses in Alaska! Our family stopped in Ketchikan during our Alaskan cruise (Disney) in August 2018. I am so happy that we stumbled upon this shop near the port. The clerk was so personable and knowledgable about salmon and Alaska. Who knew we could buy so many types of salmon! It made for the best gifts for our family and friends back home. All of it was delicious. As for supporting local businesses... most of the shops facing the cruise ships in the port are owned by the cruise companies themselves. Salmon Etc (and many other businesses around there) support the local families who live in Ketchikan year round. I highly recommend this shop not only for that reason, but because they have the best selection of salmon around.

My husband and I are avid oyster lovers and when I saw this as an excursion choice I knew we had to go! Pick-up from the dock was easy and since we were the first tour, it was just us and one other person! Everyone from our driver, the capt, and staff at Hump Island were so welcoming, friendly, and informative about the area. With our group being so small, it felt more intimate and enjoyable. Our boat ride was great to and from Hump Island because our captain made sure to show us around and we were able to catch glimpses of bald eagles and whales! Once we arrived to Hump Island Oyster Co we were greeted and given such detail about the process at the farm. Our kids got to enjoy their touch tank and even spotted some jellyfish! Once upstairs, we enjoyed raw and charbroiled oysters along with some amazing salsas and sauces. The whole experience reminded my husband and I of that of wine tasting, but with oysters. Conversation flowed and the laid back atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable. It was magical being in this part of Alaska and enjoying fresh oysters shucked right in front of us and grown right there. Thank you, Hump Island Oyster Co! We look forward to making our way back in the future and can't recommend this tour enough to others on cruises or visiting Ketchikan!

There are a lot of great things to see in other places, but this is the best place for a cup of coffee and by far the best place that we encountered to buy local smoked salmon and other Alaska delicacies to cram into our suit cases and take back home with us. We got two types of salmon, some pickled seaweed salad, and I don't even remember what else, with the initial intention of sharing these as souvenirs with people we love. Now that I'm home and thinking about my decision to get these things away, I just might keep everything for myself because the salmon that we tasted while we were there was spectacular and I think I love it more than people! I'm definitely a fan and I don't know if I will ever be in that part of the world again but if I am, l'll stock up on their smoked salmon's and other treats. Oh! By the way! I got to sample the reindeer sausage and I just might go back and get some because for a reason that escapes me, I didn't buy it when I had the chance.

As it's located…read morein a very busy shopping district and next to the Lumberjack show, this is a popular spot. On a drizzly July day with several cruise ships docked, we waited over 30 minutes during the prime lunch hour to order our food, with the line far outside the door and onto the sidewalk. But the line moves fast and we found seats in the 2nd dining room (there's also outdoor seating weather permitting). The food came quickly, a little over 10 minutes after we ordered. My wife chose the Alaskan Sampler Fish & Chips, with one of each of the 3 fried fish options: Pacific Cod, local Silver Salmon and local Halibut. It also came with a generous portion of fries as well as a side of coleslaw. Of all the fish, the halibut was her favorite. She surprisingly enjoyed the coleslaw, as it was dressed with a house-made vinaigrette and wasn't sweet (like many other places use mayo and relish). There was malt vinegar and ketchup on the tables. My salad had a huge salmon filet covering it, with vinaigrette on the side. It was very filling, and I felt better about myself for choosing a healthier option at port after days of overeating on this cruise. We did order sodas with our meal. There is a self-serve soda fountain with free refills. There is also a small bar inside the dining room where you can order draft beer as well as wine and cocktails.

The place is located close to the pier so very convenient if you are coming from the cruise lines. The place is popular but they do have enough seating that although you may need to wait a bit you can eventually find seating. It's rustic and a fitting place for the kind of food they serve. The crab is ridiculously overpriced. The fish and chips is also expensive but at least you get to pick the fish between salmon, cod or halibut. The breading is slightly thick for my liking but my main problem has to do with the oil. I usually prefer fresher oil. The food is ok. I think the blackened salmon is probably the best bet for most of the items they offer such as the rice bowls or the tacos. You order first and then you get seating. They clean up quickly so if you wait for a table you don't have to wait long. Overall it's a food tourist spot that has overly expensive food but not bad enough to avoid. They have a patio and the interior is rustic fish house style.

Our waitress was an adorable Asian girl that was really kind and on her A game handling all the tables. Our table was by a kiosk where the waiters come to put in orders and there was a Caucasian guy that worked there that was griping to his coworkers about cruise customers.
