My god! There's a dog under there! I'm no longer able to wash our dogs, so we went to Salty Paws. Our larger, Husky mix came home very peppy, with what appeared to be a couple of inches off his coat. That surprised me (his coat wasn't matted or anything). I texted them to find out whether he'd been cut -- no, just brushed out. ALL THAT HAIR! Our house is a lot cleaner ever since, and now our guy is working his backside off creating a new winter coat. I used to comb him, but I was ashamed to see how much was still just hanging inside his fur, poor guy. We're also going there for nail cutting. (Can't do that anymore either.) At $20 per dog (your cost may vary), well worth it, and they get them good and short (no more clickety click all day). read more

Felicia is the best groomer I ever had in 16 years of grooming my yorkie. She is the sweetest lovely caring groomer. Barkley loved her so. She would always get me in and would allow me to stay. She would honor him getting 'shaved' down or leave him a bit curly. What a gem! read more

We needed a last-minute grooming while on vacation and Piper ended up getting the best grooming of her life thanks to the amazing team at Salty Paws. We couldn't be more pleased. My only regret is that we live 500 miles away and can't bring her back every month. read more

Felicia has always done a really good job on my Shih Tzu. My 16 year-old puppy seems to like or puts up with Felicia very well.

Very sweet to our pups. They don't even complain about all that Corgi hair. And the dogs seemed happy too.

Felicia is #1!! Caring, compassionate and Barkley loves her!! I definitely recommend. And she is quick to resolve any issues you may have and works with my schedule every time!! I appreciate that she dedicates the time needed for him - he doesn't sit in a crate all day waiting. She gets him in and out in an hour or so. read more

Felicia at Salty Paws was so wonderful! Our girl needed to just start fresh, so I had no preferences for this groom other than cutting her short and addressing her matted toes/paws. And Felicia completely put me at ease with every interaction. She had our pup done so quick and these toes and paw pads (my main concern) are *perfection*. Felicia's genuine care and consideration were made very apparent throughout our experience and we're really looking forward to our next visit! read more

We are from Texas and in the area visiting with family. We stopped at the NAPA store on Main St. to say hello to my cousin Bruce when we noticed the dog grooming shop next door. My cousin said the store had just opened recently so I decided to go in and see if they could groom our two Goldens at some point within the next week. We met the shop owner, Felicia, and, to our surprise, she said she could groom them that afternoon as she did not have anyone scheduled that late in the afternoon. We were blown away at her accomodating nature and left our boys with her. In all the commotion of getting Buzz and Woody into the shop, we didn't even realize that we hadn't given her our names or our contact information. About 2 hours later, I received a text stating that the boys were almost ready. While grateful for the info, I was puzzled as to how she had obtained my phone number until I remembered that the boys had their ID tags on them. Boy, was I relieved that Felicia had a whole lot more common sense than I did. To make a short story long...Felicia did a fantastic job on our Goldens. We didn't have to give her detailed instructions, she knew exactly how to properly groom them. The best part, though, was her pleasant and professional demeanor. She is a sweet young lady and we wish her continued success in her new business. Check her out. You won't regret it! read more

This place is the bomb! Felicia is the nicest person and she has the best bedside manner with dogs (and people)! Easy to find and convenient, we took our lab Vin Scully in for a do-it-yourself bath. Felicia lets you use her bathing basin, soap, towels, brush, and even the blower when you finish! It is such a bargain and for such a service to our community. Whether you want her to bathe your dog, clip claws and brush teeth, or you want to clean your dog yourself, this is the best deal in town. Felicia is amazing and kind - and she clearly loves dogs and their owners. We have become instant regulars at Salty Paws Grooming. read more

I wish I cold leave zero stars. We took our little dog there today. It is the second time. The first time was great. This time they jacked the price up and then got into a horrible argument with my wife. Then they threatened her if she left a bad review. I get home and see they cut one of the poor dog's nails so close she won't let us touch that paw. I see everybody else left good reviews here. Last time was fine. This time was a nightmare. read more

The owner is gentle, kind and loving and very knowledgable and skilled. My doodle is blind and I use the self wash as he does not like being left but he tolerates her with a nail trim and paw pads and offers helpful tips for me to keep him groomed. Amazing! We love Salty Paws! Bailey is a little over a year, 7 lb shih tzu and is still not quite comfortable getting groomed. This is only the 2nd time going to Felicia and Bailey was excited to see her. Felicia is so patient with Bailey! Her haircut is adorable and I love that she is done in a little over an hour. Felicia keeps you updated via text message! I highly recommend Salty Paws! (We had previously had our other shih tzu for 16 years, so we have been to many groomers! Really wish Auzzie could have been able to go to Salty Paws!) read more

I just found out about this new place in Fort Bragg and texted the owner. She was prompt with her reply and was very supportive and helpful. We brought our new rescue dog in for a nail trim and she was able to see him quickly. She not only did a great job but helped give me strategies to keep his nails short at home. She didn't even charge us for the first visit since he was a rescue! How cool is that?! I will definitely take our dog back and would highly recommend this business to anyone. Great to have a new great business in our town! read more
