Fox and hound is definitely a wonderful place to get your dog groomed. They are very efficient, they only take about an hour and a half and your dog comes out the other side looking perfect! They have a nice area in the front for your dog to relieve themselves before going in or after coming out. I have a small dog and they did a fantastic job grooming him. Highly recommend! read more

I took my 3 year old Siberian Husky in, fresh from the pound. Poor baby smelled like he'd been sleeping in a dump all his life. They did a fantastic job! Got me in the same day I called. Wash, shave, nails and teeth cleaning on my large dog who was shedding badly was $85. I feel that's priced comparatively to other local groomers. They feathered her shave into her head nicely (I had another groomer start with a 1 right at the neck and looked like my dog had a bowl cut). My 13 year old dog looked 10 years younger and she pranced right on out looking extremely happy. Will definitely bring her back! read more

The board said 70 dollars for small dog works. They charged me 90 my mom told them no look at the board they said that's old pricing. The receipt shows no extra fees like matting or anything. The haircut was barely anything. No one knows she was groomed but I'm out 93 dollars. read more

A few months ago I had an unexpected hospitalization which lasted a few weeks. I had not been able to plan my dogs care in advance. A friend drove up to help look for a kennel. My rescue poodle hates being groomed and always cried when I left him with another local groomer whom I did not care for as she was so unpleasant and difficult to deal with. Took my dog for the first time here and it was not what I expected. From the reviews I thought my dog would have gotten a great service. However they did not groom him the way that I wanted and cut his nails horrible. The location was super messy and unorganized. The owners who helped me at the front desk where very rude and could care less of what I had to say and what I wanted. They also charged me way more than what they had told me when I dropped my dog off. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GO SOME PLACE ELSE !!! read more

I just called Fox & Hound to possibly establish them as a new groomer for my 3 dogs. When I inquired about their prices and told him I have three dogs he paused asked for my name. Then he told me he could not do business with me and would no longer speak to me. Apparently my previous groomer that will no long groom my dogs because I didn't like the way she ruined my dogs hair for a second time called and told them not do business with me. It is their discretion whether or not to do business with someone but this is really unprofessional. I would be very leery of doing business with an establishment the conducts themselves is that manner. I'm assuming the same will happen when I try to contact any new groomer in the area. Let me start by saying I've been a customer of theirs since they opened and always loved what they did she gives a great haircut and is very friendly but last summer I was paying $45 for a 20 pound Dog which is about average for a medium to small size dog in the area that I live this year when I took them in for their initial haircut I was told it was going to be a little bit more The sign they had posted said medium dogs $60 & up wash and cut OK so that's a little bit much but I do understand people have to make money at the end of my service I was charged to $75 when I asked why they said it was because my dogs had mats and they need to spend a little bit extra time I wasn't happy but I could except that so I asked how much was it going to cost next time when I bring him back in 6 to 8 weeks and they don't have mats and they just need a trim I was quoted $70-$75 again these are not giant dogs I couldn't get a straight answer as to why I was being charged more than what the $60 sign said so I'm looking for a new groomer read more

They did a very nice job grooming my 8 pound poodle. Beautiful grooming. However they charged $5 more than they quoted me, even though I told them on the phone my elderly dog has an inoperable tumor - they quoted $50-$60 knowing that - the grooming was gorgeous- my only disappointment was they charged more than they quoted in advance. read more

This was my first time using this grooming place for my 1 year old mix pug. He's around 20 pounds and has very short hair. When I had first called about their prices and I specifically told them details about my boy the guy at the front desk said it would range around $45. Not only did they charge me $60 dollars they also clipped one of his nails which apparently had a chip on it already which made my pug limp the next day and bleed from his nail. A simple call to me and I would have not let them clip that specific nail until a visit to the vet was made. So now, not only does my boy have discomfort but I'll have to wait until January for his vet appointment since the holidays are approaching. Honestly for not even 30 minutes of grooming it's like they didn't even take their time with him. Just wish they could have done a better and more efficient job. My husband and I have been taking our dog, Roxy (toy poodle) since shortly after they opened. We lived in Ukiah, it was convenient and they did a great job. We moved to Rohnert Park to care for my elderly grandma. We continued bringing Roxy here and would enjoy a day in Ukiah. Today we took her again. They were running about an hour behind (have to get back to grandma) but we understand told them call when you're 10 minutes from done, they did. However, when my husband went in he wanted to see Roxy. They told him he had to pay first. He said, "all the times I've come here you're gonna hold my dog til I pay??" It was INSULTING! First we should see her before we pay, make sure the correct thing was done. Second WE DRIVE OVER AN HOUR TO COME HERE AND HAVE BEEN CUSTOMERS A LONG time!!! My husband tipped 20% this time but TO FOX AND THE HOUND.... That was his SMALLEST TIP EVER!! I would have given them a 5 star rating if I had been asked the day before my appointment. I have been with Fox & Hound Dog Grooming since before the current owners purchased the business. My little 4 pound chihuahua has always went to this business for a buzz haircut & nail trimming. I cut her hair short as she gets burs in her fur & has sensitive skin. She does better with very short hair. My appointment was at 8:30a.m., I arrived at 8:20. The owners didn't arrive until 8:37, not a big deal but on a 15 minute break every minute counts. The owner walked up & asked how my dog was by name, so she obviously remembered my dog. I left her at the groomer & was called to pick her up about 10. When I arrived she was ready and looked great. So what was the problem? Our usual $45 hair cut, which still seems much for a 4 lb dog, was no longer $45. The husband of the groomer said "that will be $85! I was shocked. No warning, no notice of increased prices, NOT ONE WORD. Obviously I told them I would not pay w/out being notified of that. He then said "since it was my dog's first time there". Are you kidding me? Then he says he will do me a favor & only charge $50, plus a convenience fee to use my card, which they never have charged before. I understand prices go up, but from $45 to $85...for a 4 pound dog, well, really 3 3/4 lb after her hair cut... I don't like to be lied to and it makes me sad I will NOT be returning... read more
