While I understand employees were busy assisting other customers, a simple greeting or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. During our time there, customers who arrived after us appeared to receive assistance first, particularly those interested in electric bikes. We continued to wait patiently and did not make an issue of it. Eventually, as an employee walked by, I politely asked a very simple question, whether the store offered delivery services. Rather than briefly answering or directing us to someone who could help, he responded, "I'm busy with another customer right now," without making eye contact. The interaction made us feel like an inconvenience The question would have helped us determine whether we were ready to move forward with purchasing. A little acknowledgment and basic customer service would have made a significant difference. Based on this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere and would not return.

If Trek or Giant or whoever the marquee brand was didn't go out of their way to save this store, they don't deserve my business wherever they still are. When I told him about my gears being locked up and breaks feeling spongy, he offered to fix them right then and there! When he got out his equipment and started working, he talked me through the whole process. He explained what each step was and what I could do for regular maintenance to keep my bike in good shape. After his work, my ride home was a totally improved experience! Gears shifted smoothly, pedals were gliding, and the breaks were solid. I'll pass his info on to anyone who needs it.

One of our e-bikes had low battery charge and even though someone was able to bike out to where we were to delivery another battery, the replacement was also low and wouldn't be enough for the time we rented. We also lost time waiting for the other battery. However, kudos to the staff and owner because they made it right for us when we returned the bikes. Spot has good staff and a great location. Absolutely outstanding experience with Driven Electric Bikes in Costa Mesa!…read more A huge thank you to Ben for providing such personalized service from start to finish. He helped us get a great deal on our bike and accessories, ordered a cargo bracket for us, and even helped set us up with a basket and light kit so we could customize everything exactly how we wanted. Shopping at a local e-bike store made all the difference. We never felt rushed, and Ben genuinely cared about making sure our bike fit our family's needs. The selection was excellent, pricing was fair, and the level of customer service was exceptional. The bike has been amazing. It has plenty of power, cruises up Superior Hill (with all 3 of us) with no problem, and feels incredibly stable--even when I'm climbing into the rear cargo area with our son. Best of all, our whole family can now ride to the beach together without worrying about parking or fighting for a spot. We had one of our favorite family days ever thanks to this bike. If you're considering an e-bike, I highly recommend Driven eBikes. Ben goes above and beyond to make sure you leave with exactly what you need.

I walked into Driven E-Bikes looking for a tune-up, but instead, I got a masterclass in passive-aggression. Ben has perfected the art of the "customer service smile" while delivering snide remarks that make you question your entire existence. He greets you with a grin, but the vibe is pure "I'm tolerating you because I have to." Good luck getting a hold of him, too. Trying to get a response about your bike is like trying to contact a ghost via a Ouija board. Complete radio silence. When you finally do get your bill, make sure you're sitting down. I drive an e-bike, Ben, not a Mercedes-Benz. The prices here are absolutely outrageous. He charges mechanical engineering fees to fix a bicycle. Don't be fooled by the polite storefront. Save your wallet and your sanity, and go somewhere else where they don't charge luxury car prices for a side of attitude.

We almost gave up and bought a new ebike. This went on for over a month. I walked in to ask if he could get some parts and he did a quick assessment on the damage. Dennis fixed the wheel, put all new bearings and lubrication, fabricated a solid axle(not hollow, which was OEM), changed both tires and tubes, and added the Tannis Armour tire liner to the tires. He did this all in front of me as a walk-in while we chatted. Took him like 20 minutes for it all. My son is back in business and you couldn't have seen a happier 13 year old.
