The man taking our order was patient and helped us make selections for our meal. After paying we headed out to the lovely patio. They kindly brought our food out to us and even checked in later to make sure that we were enjoying everything. The food was outrageously delicious! I was especially impressed with the portions. I ordered a bowl and my sister ordered a gyro and neither of us were able to finish our food. The fries were honestly the highlight - top tier French fries! I can't wait to stop in again.

The owner Gio is a solid guy who knows his stuff and has created a sandwich shop to rival many I've enjoyed in NYC. My first meal was La Polpetta on a semonola roll and I have to say...one of the best meatball subs I've enjoyed in...FOREVER. The sauce was light and did not overpower the sandwich while the meatballs (love how they are sliced) were absolutely delicious. I also had some of the pasta salad and it had everything you could ever want in a pasta salad. Now Gio does a monthly sandwich special and for August it's the IL Dolce Piccante. This creation is a flavor bomb nestled between Gio's homemade focaccia bread. This sandwich is huge (picture is only half) but the pepper relish really kicks the flavors up a notch. It's not hot or overly spicy...just enough kick to make itself known. If I lived in the area I would have to work my way through the entire menu...LOL. Excellent food, a really nice selection of Italian goods, and a super nice owner.

Hubs had the calabrese heat sandwich - said it was good (also big enough for two meals!). Too full for dessert but will try again another time. Our server/deli attendant was very helpful and answered questions about some of the meats and cheese we had.
