Why are we rating this place low?! I love this location. Of course I never come during peak times so I can enjoy the service and my food. For example: I made a reservation online for a Sunday evening and no wait. They sat me in the front secluded section and I was not forgotten about or ignored like most places. Cody was on point and super friendly. Our waitress Cody was so cool. She made the best recommendations and en enhancements on what we wanted. Best judgment as everything was perfection. We had: Porter T-bone steak (medium) with the creole topping. With mac and cheese and asked for our Brussel Sprouts extra crispy. Caesar salad, yes could have a little more dressing but it was still very good.

I've been to several Saltgrass locations, but these days, my parents prefer the one in The Woodlands. I wanted to take my parents to HRW, so I booked a reservation for a Sunday early evening. I'm so glad I did because it was packed. They were incredibly busy. So busy that they couldn't keep up with the utensils. It reminded me of The Bear. IYKYK. Natalie got us started with drinks and menus. Codie was our amazing server. She was on it and refilled my half and half tea without asking. This location worked like a well-oiled machine helping each other deliver plates and clean/pick up dishes as we finished each part of the HRW menu. As always, we started with the complimentary bread and butter. That's always a hit, but I ate just a small piece to save my appetite...or at least tried to. First course - My mom ordered the queso and tortilla chips. I like how they're cut in large rectangular strips, but some of the chips were stale and not crispy. The queso with the pico de gallo was good and had a nice spicy kick. The consistency was just right. I had the fried mushrooms with parmesan ranch. I always enjoyed their fried mushrooms. It was a decent size portion that was still shareable. My dad had the shrimp cocktail and really only ate that and not the greens in the cup. Second course - We had either the potato soup or tortilla soup. We all enjoyed it. I like the bits of potato among the pureed soup to give it texture. The potato is always cooked well and soft. Third course - My dad and I had the 12 oz. smothered ribeye cooked medium. It was topped with sautéed chopped mushrooms and onions and butter. It was cooked perfectly medium. You get to pick a side to accompany the protein, so we got mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a tad too salty. My mom had the blackened redfish topped with shrimp and got a side of herbed rice. We all liked the dishes, but we were so full that we took most of it home. Fourth course - Dessert time! I had the strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake, and my parents had the carrot cake with cream cheese. I asked for it to be boxed to take home. Codie boxed our meals for us and told me about the Landry's program. I really should do it. When you first sign up, it's $25. When you get 250 points, you get a $25 reward back on the card. You earn a point for every dollar spent. There are so many restaurants affiliated because it's also owned by Fertitta. I live and have been to a lot of them. There's also hotels that you can get discounts and earn points. I would've had $50 back from having been to Brenner's on the Bayou just 2 days before and at Saltgrass. On other visits, I've also had the Caesar salad and prime rib with horseradish sauce. It's all yummy. We will always be a fan of Saltgrass. It's a family friendly establishment.

This isn't the first time to this location and the bar always seems on the slow side. My wife and I sat at the bar and it took about 10 min to get drinks. It was busy, but with two bartenders it shouldn't take that long to at least be welcomed. It happened pretty much every time my wife and I need more drinks the 3 hours we were there. Another issue was the Texas Holdem red wine use to be on Happy Hour. I didn't see it as a choice on the menu but the bartender said it was on happy hour. It was not and later she didn't remember saying that so we paid full price. Which is fine if she would have just said that at the beginning. We ordered 3 appetizers this time and all were good and came out pretty quickly. The mozzarella cheese was really good. The happy hour menu is really good. We have had their steaks many times and they always come out great. We love coming here but they really need to work on the bartenders taking care of everyone not just their few favorites they stand around talking to.

We really enjoyed our date night meal here. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the food all tasted great. We both enjoyed perfectly cooked and well seasoned steaks for our entree (ribeye and filet), the sides were also delicious (I loved the sweet caramelized tangy marinade on the Brussels sprouts), and the carrot cake dessert was a nice ending to the meal. The wine list was good too. The only downer for me was that our table was stuck in the center of a busy, brightly lit area, so the ambiance was definitely lacking. We would have loved a booth, but they were all taken. That said, we will definitely come again. All in all, this is a good value option for a nice steak meal.

First let me say I love Saltgrass and have been to many locations including this one. Very consistent when it comes to quality, service and friendly staff. Xmas eve with 6:45pm reservation, seated by 7:05pm not bad at all as I expected a wait of between 20-30 mins as it was very busy. Plenty of staff and very friendly. This location has plenty of parking and tables... Party of 5 and our food was perfect to order..our waitress was great too.

Always a delight coming here but my steak was rare instead of medium rare. I ate it anyways because idc too much but just thought everyone should know. Service was great. Place is nice as always.

Our friends took us here straight from the airport for lunch. Conveniently located off the expressway, with plenty of parking, and were seated right away. A little dark inside the restaurant. Our server was friendly and very pleasant. Quick service. Bread was warm, soft, hint of sweetness, and delicious. Fried mushrooms not overly breaded and well seasoned. My 10 ounce rib-eye was huge!! Cooked perfectly to medium. Juicy and tender. Seasoned well. I had their Old Fashioned and it was just ok. I prefer mine on the slightly sweeter side and this one had too much bitters. I also prefer my Old Fashioned served with one large ice ball or ice cube and not nuggets of ice as presentation is key for me; and, using one large ice cube prevents it from tasting watered down. Overall, we had an enjoyable dining experience with friends and would definitely recommend.

I had no idea of the range and quality of J Lohr wines and very happy we attended and picked up a few unique and super tasty bottles. With their largest of three vineyards in Central Coast Paso Robles, and smaller ones in Nor Cal Monterey and Napa, J. lohr is 100% committed to California USA winemaking. We especially enjoyed the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Petit Syrah, & Cabernet Sauvignon. The stars of the evening IMO were their reasonably priced and lovely Petit Syrah and their big bold Cab Sav (~500 cases). Congratulations to the Capital Grille team. I believe this was their first "Wine Dinner" in the Woodlands location. You could tell this was important to them and they wanted to impress their visiting winemaker and loyal customers. Bravo! Menu and food were expertly prepared and paired thoughtfully with the diverse wine offerings from J. lohr. The standouts were the shrimp risotto first course with Riesling, second course scallops with Chardonnay, and fourth (main) course Lamb and Cab Sav. I would not let my wife's go to waste and enjoyed hers as well. The room was beautifully prepared and the vibe was 100% Houston casual fun and not stuffy.

My food was all delicious for the most part, it was mainly the service which had a few miscues. This was kind of surprising since it was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was not all that busy with just a few other customers in our entire section the entire time. We ordered the lobster bisque and mussels as apps, shrimp rigatoni and cioppino as entrees and a tiramisu for our dessert. 1) I had to ask to have my drink refilled. 2) I ordered a soup as an appetizer, the bus boy takes the app plates away just prior to the kitchen staff delivering the main entree, which was also a soup, so basically I had to ask for another spoon. 3) Dessert took nearly 25 minutes to come out once it was ordered. Although the food was really good, these blunders sort of put a damper on my visit. On follow-up visits, I will be ordering other menu items to see if they can redeem themselves. The ambiance was nice, but it would have been a lot nicer if they would have seated us near the windows at the front of the restaurant, so we have had a view. Instead, we get the back area which was darker. I historically get seated at the worst areas/tables so this was no big surprise.

My husband surprised me with brunch here last weekend and it was everything I hoped it would be. The vibe is elite. I love the way this restaurant is decorated. It was such a good ambiance & I bet it would be a great date night spot. The food was incredible. I have a favorite restaurant in Las Vegas that makes the most amazing beignets with lemon curd. I can confidently say that Bosscat leveled up and blew that favorite out of the water. If there's one thing you take away from this review, let it be that ordering the beignets is necessary. The toasted marshmallow and lemon they're served with elevate them so much. They're delicious! There were so many things on the menu we'd love to try. DJ was spinning tunes inside but we opted for outdoor seating on their covered patio as it was a nice day. I gotta say I had some trepidation given our CM's earlier experiences here. But everything turned out just fine on our visit. First off I love that everything on the menu is under $20. That means we can order more. I was a bit worried that out steak and eggs would be tough because I ordered it medium rare and it came out more medium well. It's even cut already so they should've been able to tell how well done it was. But it was still tender which is actually all I really cared about. The Holy Smoked Benedict is not your traditional eggs Benedict. Instead of ham they have slices of pork belly. And it's served on a crispy biscuit (I could taste the crunch) with potatoes with a poached egg on top just like a regular Benedict. My only comment would be a little too many potatoes for my particular liking, but you can just brush them off. With the money we saved we got the beignets. They come in a sack of 5 and with a Meyer lemon curd on top side for dipping that has a dollop of melted marshmallow cream on top. They aren't traditional beignets but are really small biscuits. They tasted hot and fresh, and were nice and fluffy regardless, which again is all I really cared about. Cold water comes in an old whisky bottle and is left at your table so you can pour as much as you want when you want. I really wish more restaurants did this. The place is also now on the InKind app so make sure you sign in and pay with the app if you do that kind of stuff. InKind is free and has occasional offers that make dining even more affordable.
