So when I got a flat rear tire on my bike, it seemed like a no-brainer to bring it here. The store was empty when I arrived on a Friday afternoon, and one of the workers took my bike immediately to work on it. He quickly found the wire that had punctured the tire and the tube, replaced it with a new tube, and I was on my way. Until the next day, Saturday, when I had yet another flat rear tire. I brought it back in to the shop, the same guy worked on it, and told me that this flat was caused by the rim pinching it, which sometimes happens when the tape that lines the rim is too old. But the tire itself looked just fine. He put in new tape, and another new tube, and more money later, I was on my way. Flash forward to Sunday, and I'm riding the bike, and in 10 minutes my rear tire is completely flat again. ARGH! This time I brought my bike into a different, highly Yelp rated, well-established bike shop in Odessa, that told me the tape was incorrectly put in (didn't go all the way around) AND showed me the actually wear on my tire that you could see daylight through. Very clearly a new tire was needed. All it would have taken was a little extra thoroughness at Pedal Pro to find the real issue and take care of it, saving me time, money and hassle. So - while I absolutely love to support new local businesses, this one has 3 strikes with me and they are out.
