Although it is fun, it is hard to wrestle the bucket back when you're trying to drive on to the next animals. These animal are big and they know that if your car window is up, they will walk on. If your window is down, they will stick their entire head in the window. They have over 500 animals including zebras, giraffes, buffalo, deer, pigs, llamas, and even have the very cute Scotch Highland cattle. The drive through part is not short and you have to drive slow because of the animals. It is worth the money. Fair warning, your car will get dirty. There is a farmhouse on the premises where they sell some desserts. We went during the fall and they had a small pumpkin patch and a stack of hay bales to climb on. We also had a nice little meal from their food tent. We will be back!

The ride starts at a barn and they lead you through the animal area. Plenty of food is given to feed the animals. You make stops along the way to feed the animals from the wagon. Afterwards you can tour an Amish house, barns and other areas of the farm. Inside the house you get a delicious cookie. Educational and fun to explore. Lots of animals to see as well. They have a playground and picnic area as well. So bring some food and spend the day.

Located about an hour outside of Pittsburgh, in the small town of St Clairsville OH, tucked back in…read morethe woods, you will find Adventure Creek. We found Adventure Creek through Groupon, and what a find it turned out to be! At first, we were a tad apprehensive since the website depicts smaller children maneuvering through the course. We thought that maybe this is too easy. We decided to book it anyway and as it turned out we were completely off on the challenging aspect of it. To generalize, yes children can and do the tree trekking course here. However, there are different levels to the obstacle courses. So, if you are a family and looking to have a challenging adventure you can definitely bring the kiddies along to participate in the alternate obstacles and zip lines. If you are a ninja looking for an upper body-punishing workout and the thrills of zip lining through the trees do yourself a favor, go to Groupon, and get a pass to visit. For the price, you most definitely will not be disappointed. We have now become huge fans of this course and have visited three times so far. We will certainly be back next season. The course has a variety of zip lines. I would say roughly 10 different ones, and takes about 3 hours to complete, give or take depending upon the group size. The zip lines vary in length but the final zip line is probably the longest and has the best views. The most challenging parts of the course are where you have to balance yourself on a five-foot log suspended 30+ feet in the air then hoist yourself about another 7 feet up to another shorter log where you wrap your legs around and shimmy to the next log to transition midair. It is extremely challenging and requires a ton of core and upper body strength. Moreover, if you are short like me it makes it even harder. Sadly, I have yet to complete it, always failing on the 7-foot leap off the already unstable log. I am hoping next year is my year! However, if you do make it across that, or in my case dragged through that section you will meet several more intense obstacles before finding yourself on the 30+ platform in the trees where you free jump, swinging like Tarzan to a cargo net a hundred feet away, and then climb back up to another tree platform. If you are not extremely exhausted by then there are still several other challenging obstacles before you zip line to the ground. I am glad they decided to advertise through Groupon, as it is highly unlikely we would have ever learned of this place. It is absolutely worth the journey to Ohio to visit and challenge yourself both mentally and physically. What a fun time, we cannot wait to return.

We searched the internet and looked at different activities to do and then my wife found this Adventure Creek on Groupon. Just from looking at the Groupon, their actual website, and reading some reviews it got us interested. We thought it might not be too challenging because we saw a lot of pictures with kids being able to go on this. We weren't sure if this was what we were looking for but we deiced to get the Groupon and try out Adventure Creek anyways. Little did we know that we would have one of the best days together probably in a few years! Adventure creek is almost in the middle of no where in St. Clairsville Ohio. You're in the woods zip lining, challenging yourself in different obstacle courses in the air, and just having fun! I have so much to say about this place but I will keep it short so people will read this. You first have to call and reserve a spot for you to go to Adventure Creek. That day we arrived there 30 minutes early and there was nobody there. So we just took some pictures and then eventually other people who were going to be in our group started arriving. At first one family thought that my wife and I were the tour guides. They started asking us questions on what they were supposed to do. I guess we looked the part LOL! Eventually our tour guides Xavier and Krista welcomed us and got us started. They were great guides and made this adventure even better. They first helped us get our safety equipment on. Then they went over some safety tips and rules and then we were headed to our first zip line. I went first in the group and then my wife was right behind me. It started off slow because we had a large group but once we got going the pace picked up. There were smaller zip lines and there were bigger ones. Good for adults and kids. You strap yourself to the line and you just go. Sometimes you could go upside down and get good pictures of yourself. The zip lines were really fun and not too challenging. What really tested us that day and what will have us coming back are their obstacle courses. It's hard to explain but hopefully the pictures that you see of us help. You're basically in the air trying to balance, climb, pull, and push your self through some very challenging obstacles in the air. They had different levels and you didn't have to go through these if you didn't want to. We did of course try the hardest ones and we were challenged but had so much fun. I felt excited, nervous, happy, scared, bold, and fearful at so many times during these obstacles it was great! It really gave us the challenge that we wanted. This is a great bonding experience too. Like I said my wife and I have been working out together and going through Adventure Creek got us even closer to each other. We got through these challenges together and I was so proud of my wife. She was the only girl that tried and was able to get through the toughest obstacles. Some tips for you when go to Adventure creek are wear pants or shorts with zipper pockets. This really helped because you can hold your cell and not worry about it falling out when you are upside down. Next time we will bring gloves because she did get some blisters from the zip lines and the obstacle courses. Try to get the safety belts with the water holders. That came in very handy for us. If you do go on the hardest obstacle be careful when you jump off their tall ledge. It can hurt when you bounce back up. Just be prepared for that jerk when you bounce back up. If you are looking to have a lot of fun but be really challenged this is the place for you. It's a great bonding experience with your loved ones. It will push you to your limits but when you complete them together it gives you such a high. Doing this with my wife just showed us that we can do anything together and we can't wait to go on to our next adventure!

Our visit was mostly the gift shop and grocery store. The grocery store was a great stop for snacks. They had some delicious pies. At least the cheese and blackberries one I had was delicious. And since the crust is great, I would imagine they were solid choices. They had a nice selection of Amish popcorn and maple treats too. The gift shop is large and has a good selection of items. The yard decor and patio furniture were all fairly impressive. Some things were even Buckeyes themed! The leather goods were the other highlight. I thought the rucksacks were great and had me wishing I could take a hobbit adventure But, the highlight for my sister was a real/ nice belt that she is excited about. My highlight was the pecan turtle I had for dessert. It's a great spot in Amish country and the service was very pleasant.
