I've been to many spas in NYC, LA, Boston, etc. For me personally, nothing compares to Betty's! The ambiance is welcoming and calming, the prices are reasonable and the team is experienced. I typically get facials and ALWAYS leave feeling over the moon, relaxed and happy. The massage/facial beds are heated and all of products are organic and smell AMAZING so it's kind of like 2 in 1 aromatherapy as you're getting your facial :) They clearly state that the sauna/hot tub is additional on their website, so for the folks griping about that, it's probably best to simply read the info while booking rather than rip them for something that is stated upfront! I never expect to sauna or steam going into a facial service anyways, that just seems like an added perk/not to be expected. I digress.... if you want a perfect self-care day, book at Betty's!

This is standard practice at any SPA, no matter what part of the world you are in. Doesn't matter if you are at the Ritz, Woldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, or a resort in Europe, Asia, or South America. When you go to a spa, you automatically have access to all the spa's amenities. This includes tubs and saunas. There are no spa amenities here. If you are paying premium prices, you would expect a premium experience. Keep looking because you are not going to get that at Betty's Day Spa. To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous! One would think that, if there is a medical emergency, they would allow you to at the very least reschedule your services. They do not. Thank goodness I do not live here and can go back to my normal masseuse next week.

I enjoyed my 90 minute hot stone massage yesterday and loved my facial that was scheduled today at 11. There are a few quirks that prompt me to leave just four stars. I'm well versed in spa experiences all over the country and hope my comments are helpful. First quirk: Odd two hour limit. If your time enjoying the spa amenities exceeds two hours (either before or after your treatment) you will be charged $30 an hour. I've never seen this rule at any other spa I've been to. Watching the clock does not lend itself to relaxation . Treatments are expensive and this feels like a bit of a money grab. Second quirk- limited hours. This spa is not open on Monday and Tuesday. I found out today the spa doesn't open until 11am on Thursdays (the time of my scheduled appointment). I arrived a little after 10am with a plan to use the hot tub and steam room before my facial. (With that two hour limit in mind). Instead I sat on a step outside. They did open the doors at 10:25. I suggest installing a couple benches outside the entrance. I'm not used to a spa opening so late in the day. I prefer not to use a hot tub or steam after a facial. I like the wonderful products to stay put on my face. Third quirk: It is 2026. Please set up online booking vs the only other option: calling to book services. Please, please, please make this happen! Fourth quirk- consider providing a bowl of apples (or other fruit option) in addition to the complementary Nature Valley bar. Today's bar had 18g carbs 9 g of sugar. Not a healthy choice for people watching their A1C. Note- there are a couple options for purchase and a drink menu available. Loved- the water, coffee, and tea station. Loved- the comfy spa robe and plush towels. Loved- the clean, relaxing, well appointed facilities. Well done! Loved- the entire team is extremely helpful and friendly. A million stars go to Pamela for an amazing hot stone massage and Casie for an incredible facial! These ladies are both gifts to humanity and obviously love what they do. During your session they assess your skin and let you know what they are doing and using. It's so calming that I often find myself falling asleep by the end of it. They have private tubs you can reserve for an hour if that's more the vibe you are feeling, but you can also use the hot tub before or after your appointment to soak which is so relaxing. I do appreciate the touches of tea kettles and tea in the lounge area that are complimentary. They also have snacks and other things if you are there longer. Remedy is such a sweet serene spot right in the university area that you'd kinda forget where you are because it's so peaceful while experiencing it, and that's why I can't recommend Emily and Remedy enough.

They are well priced, and they offer a huge variety of classes... I have been going to yoga almost every day and I have found the instructors to be experienced and highly competent. I mostly run in the ABQ Bosque during the spring and fall, so I haven't really needed to use their treadmills much but I expect that will change in the winter. On the few occasions when I have needed to use them because it was cold, or I haven't had time to get down to the river, there have been plenty of machines and no wait times. This is obviously an operation that does well at scale. One of the best gyms I have used in my life.

Rochelle, Rochelle, Rochelle, oh how you helped take the pain away…read more I was out riding my bike the morning after a storm. The storm had just broke and it was a beautiful early morning. An unforeseen obstruction was suddenly in the road as I came around the corner and BLAM!!! Over the handlebars I went and my carbon bike shattered into three pieces. I had to make a flight in just a couple of hours. I didn't have anything major broken but I was bleeding in many places and definitely already getting sore and stuff as I drove to the airport. I couldn't turn my head to the left by the time I got to the airport and my left arm had limited movement. Nothing had improved by the time I landed in ABQ and I needed to play in a golf tournament the next morning. After taking a few moments to pour over reviews of medically therapeutic therapists I luckily landed on Rochelle. I called her and explained the situation to her. She even stayed late to get me in. Rochelle took the time to evaluate me and then once I was on the table her intuition of what my body needed was impressive. I firmly believe she greatly mitigated the level of pain and seriousness of my injuries with her early same day intervention. Her service was certainly 5 Star worthy. I discovered while having an MRI, so I was a touch apprehensive about this floating business. However, the float tank came highly recommended by a trusted friend, so I wanted to give it a try. The tank itself was clean and surprisingly spacious to the point I could fully extend both of my arms to the side. I felt 0% anxious the entire time. While the float wasn't necessarily life altering, it was my first time, and I did experience some pleasant and interesting benefits such as deep relaxation and a neutral, almost emotionless flow of thoughts. I had vivid memories of past experiences that were meaningful to me. All in all, I will likely return especially on a day when I have nothing to do afterward, as I felt really relaxed and sleepy. Oh yes, I almost forgot. The one thing that would make this place so much better is to have lotion pumps in the rooms. The salt water and double shower (before and after) really dry the body out in our New Mexico climate.
