Everything is bright, beautiful, trendy, and welcoming. On top of being beautiful, Lyndi is so so sweet, easy to talk to, and does an amazing job on my hair every single time. You know you got a good haircut when you can go months without returning and it STILL looks good. Lyndi is one of the best colorists I've been to as well. I always LOVE my hair after I see her. Lindsey at Salon Surreal awful! i asked for highlights and one inch off bottom of my hair. I even drew her a sketch. She moved behind me & I thought she was cutting bottom as I requested - instead she was chopping into my hair. I went back to Salon Surreal & Lindsey said "well, what do you want me to do?" she called the manager & together they tried to make me the villain - the mgr even took the upper & Lower layers & tried to mash them together saying " she created layers fir you!" neither of them showed me any empathy or compassion for the mess Lindsey created! I may place a complaint with the Board of Cosmetology - customers have rights & should not have to suffer abuse, especially when they politely asked for the stylist NOT to do something! I recently stumbled upon this place. I had my hair done by Heather, she worked magic on my very damaged hair. I showed her some color hair inspiration photos of what I wanted and she pretty much replicated the photos. She used Olaplex products in my hair. I was there on a busy Saturday and managed to get my hair treated, colored and trimmed in 2 hours. She had an assistant that finished up my hair with curling iron. I needed a much needed dye job since I'm a week away from my wedding. The salon opened at 10:00 and I called at 10:05 to make an appointment. They booked me right away for 11:00. When I walked in, I was greeted by the receptionist and Melanie (my hair stylist). We got started right away and Melanie helped me find the perfect color and highlights based on the picture I showed her. She was very friendly and the whole process took 2 hours. She dyed my roots, gave me highlights and lowlights, toned, wash/condition, layered my hair and blow dried it for $120! I had the all over color and full foil package. I expected to walk out with a bill of at least$200. Will definitely come back and I still can't believe everything Melanie did for me for that price! I get my hair done by Madison, and she is amazing! I always get a balayage and she nails it every time. I have also had eyebrow waxes by her and she does a great job. She is very friendly! The salon is always clean and has a good vibe to it. They are always playing light music but its never overbearing. They have a great selection of professional products, I recommend Davines! I moved here recently from San Antonio for work, and had been long over due for highlights and a cut. Being in a new place had me hesitant attempting to find a new stylist. I am very particular about my hair, and especially when it comes to color. Thank my lucky stars, the yelp reviews were extremely accurate and the salon exceeded my expectations! I called this morning and they were immediately able to get me in this afternoon for full highlights, cut, and style with Gabby. Upon my arrival, I was greeted warmly by Gabby at the front desk. The salon is absolutely adorable! It is a renovated little house that is decorated tastefully, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Gabby is extremely knowledgeable, confident, and talented! Oh my gosh, I have never left a salon feeling as happy and excited as I felt today. Gabby brightened my hair up and polished my ends with a beautiful cut. I have never seen such beautiful blonde highlights! I'm forever grateful to say that on my first try, I found my new permanent stylist in Augusta. Gabby is incredible!! Just took my daughter their for her very first haircut this past Saturday, Melanie was sooo patient with her and made sure to do a very thorough job even though she's not even 2 yet. For first haircuts for babies/toddlers, there is no charge and they give a little certificate for the baby book. We collected our own lock of hair to go in her baby book as well, it would be really cool to see them add that to the service. When I was booking the appointment, the lady on the phone was very sweet and informative, and they got us in within 2 days of calling. After seeing the salon firsthand, I will definitely be back for some mommy pampering!! It seems like they do it all, from shampoos and cuts and colors to massages to waxing, and there's even a small boutique area in the front with some clothing, jewelry, and other accessories. I went here to get balayage hair because it had great reviews, but it was a mistake. I asked for a few layers to be put in my hair (and to keep it long) since I was in the process of growing it out. The girl did a great job on my color, but the "layers" were horrible. I didn't even notice it at first since she curled it, but when I went home and straightened it I cried when I looked in the mirror. It was so blocky and not blended at all. I went back the next day to get it redone which they thankfully did for free. I was glad that they admitted it looked terrible instead of trying to defend it. God bless the girl who fixed it! She was really talented and sweet. She did the best she could. She cut off an inch and said I would end up just having to grow it out and cut it off in order to totally get rid of the atrocious layers at the bottom. Overall I was really disappointed because all I wanted was a little bit of layering and instead I came out with 2 inches off my hair, side bangs, super thinned out hair, and being told to grow it out just to cut more off later to fix it (which is pretty upsetting since I've been trying to grow it out for the past 6 months). I'm glad they fixed it for free but they really should've offered to refund me or at least discount the haircut since it wasn't AT ALL what I wanted. I would probably go back though if it meant seeing the girl who fixed my hair. Overall a pretty tragic experience. read more

My daughter had recently gone to this salon. I had a very bad experience at my last visit to a salon. In fact, I had to buy a wig to cover up the butcher job. My daughter raved about Jessica. So I called and scheduled an appointment with Jessica. I am so very happy that I did!! Jessica is amazing! I showed her a picture of the look I am trying to get to. She examined it and the stage my hair is currently at and trimmed it accordingly. I have already scheduled to see her again in 6 weeks. Jessica is my new stylist! She is amazing. I went in salon at 1:30 to get my roots touched up and walked out very unhappy at 5:30 very unsatisfied with my results. I informed my stylist that my hair is very difficult and does not take color easily before she began. My hair was a grayish color when she blowed dried it so we returned to the shampoo bowl for another round. I was also charged &40 extra for products that I was not asked if I wanted. Got a good cut but when I went back for a perm I ended up with FRIZZ. I was VERY disappointed after she assured me she could do an excellent perm. My clothes were full of water and when she finished I didn't know what it looked like because she didn't dry it or trim it like I requested before she started. Wouldn't recommend this place for people with naturally curly hair. My mother and I visited a while back and I will never forget the experience. We had a simple wash & cut, including straightening, but the blonde girl working on my mother rushed through her appointment in 20 minutes and left her hair a frizzy mess. I'll start with the postitives. First off the atmosphere is nice relaxing and very professional. My stylist was sociable and gave me some good tips and even stopped me from getting a perm I would have hated. Also I was charged for exactly what I got as the prices listed on their website. However I had a pretty bad experience here. Not while I was there but after getting home and dealing with what had been done. First off I went in to get my hair trimmed and add layers in a way that would enhance the natural wave in my hair. And while the haircut was okay she blew out my hair leaving it flat straight and full of product which I hated and had to wash out as soon as I got home. But the worst part, and what motivated me to write this review was the eyebrow waxing and tint. I have naturally blond hair blond eyebrows and blond eye lashes so I like getting my eye brows tinted unfortunately the stylist put a dark brown color on my eye when she said she was going to put a light brown on them. And left them very bushy. After seeing them I panicked and got her to wax them some more but I was still very uncomfortable I knew they looked bad and still to big and still to dark but she kept telling me I'd get used to it and it's just a shock. But she was not correct. When I got home my husband asked if I had seen my face and confirmed my fears that it was indeed THAT bad. I'm going to a different salon today to get them fixed. Overal the only thing I would do again was the eye lash tint. The cut was 100% mediocre the eyebrow work was terrible and I feel like I completely wasted 100 dollars there. I had my first appointment with Taylor this morning. I'm growing out a pretty extreme pixie cut, and had butchered the back of my hair trying to buzz/taper my neckline. Taylor was honest with me about the hairstyle I wanted (it just wouldn't work with the length I had) and nicely fixed the mess I'd made on the back of my head. She also charged me less than I'd expected because my cut only took about 15 minutes and didn't require any styling. I was very pleased and will definitely see Taylor again sometime! read more
