Very few people can cut my hair and I had given up years ago. Post Covid I figured I would ljust leave my hair grey and decided to try Roxy. Shawn mot only cut my hair in the style I have always wanted but had been epic failures in the past.He also suggested coloring my hair leaving some grey and adding 2 shades of dark blonde. I was a brunette so blonde had never entered my head. He did an a.azing cut and color. Now the grey is not an option as so many people complement on my hair color and cut. Shawn is amazing,, kind and very patient.My hair is in the best condition it has been in since I was a teen. Highly recommend esp if you dread having your hair cut.. Nice stylist but did not know what she was doing. Color turned out awful and nothing close to what we talked about. The prices were outrageous compared to other places I've been to before and since. I tried this place on a whim because my stylist of 12 years in Tampa moved out of the area 2 years ago, and I was sort of desperate so had low/little expectations going into it. All that I wanted done were simple highlights and a trim - not even a full cut. Two stars for the nice stylist, minus three stars for skill, price, and time wasted finding someone to fix the color/highlights and trim. read more

I have been looking for a great salon since moving to this area. I have finally found it at Salon Roxy. After years of passing this salon, I took a chance and tried to make a reservation. They were extremely accommodating and managed to fit me in right away. I was paired with Stephanie, and she is amazing! She knew exactly what I was looking for, and did it well under budget! Went for a major color correction and new 'do. Left beyond happy! Stephanie is amazing! She took so much time and care to get the perfect color and cut. The process required bleaching out years of box black dye and after a lot of hard work I had a rich dark brown with caramel highlights. With the added bonus of my hair looks incredibly (and miraculously) healthy. I cannot say enough positive things about my stylist and the entire salon! read more

The shop is beautiful! Open space and a warm feeling at the same time. The owner is a super nice guy and I go there to see Rebekah. All I can say is that she has been doing hair over 20 years and it shows. I am so delighted when she's done. No joke-no lie, the best hair cuts I have ever received. She is a very talented person that will listen to your ideas and then work her magic. I've been to a lot of places where they take too much off or don't do what you ask or just don't take you into consideration. Not her. She works with you and delivers. If I moved away, I'd fly her to where I was or fly back. That's not even a joke. Great place! You'll be happy. :) read more

DO NOT go to this Salon ESPECIALLY don't go to Richard Lopez! He doesn't listen to what you want. He does we get "thinks" is best & he doesn't know JACK about color. Asked for balayage and he gave me a traditional foil. Asked him to thin the bulk out of my short cut and he SHAVES me instead of taking the time to razor it and thin the bulk out the appropriate way! When I went to manager and asked he fix it, he BLEACHES my entire head. Why did I tip him another $50?!?! Well it was late and he didn't dry my hair before I left and I couldn't tell how HORRIBLE it was until next day! After showing the manager what he did to me, he couldn't deny how awful it was and refunded my money but not after me calling and having to physically go down and wait for him to do the right thing. Horrible "stylist". Horrible management. Horrible experience. Finally 2 months later I found an excellent stylist to fix what he destroyed. read more

Was very disappointed with my color - I was adamant about wanting my hair a medium brown - milk chocolate and even discussed this with the stylist and expressed that I didnt want it dark. - I picked the color from the color book - which was a medium brown but she still did the color I believe, she wanted to do. I left with black hair. You can't lighten black hair without damage so I'm stuck with this...very disappointing. read more

I just had my first haircut at Salon Roxy with Geanine. I have very long, thick, wavy hair and wanted a style cut into it. This place was GREAT. they have a literal "color bar", an "aqua room" (for shampooing) and lots of neat decor. Geanine did an excellent job on my hair .she listened to what i asked for and then went over a game plan and then flawlessly executed. She even blew my hair out and the curled it all. She was also easy to talk to so you arent uncomfortable telling her what you want. it was a great experience and i am so happy to have found my new stylist! I just had highlights and a cut done at Salon Roxy. What an enjoyable experience! Jeanine was super nice, and did an excellent job! The atmosphere is hip, and I really love the Color bar. Extended hours for those of us who can't leave work on time, cool atmosphere, and laidback, happy stylists with tons of talent who clearly love what they do. I've tried several salons in the area that were not a good fit, either because I felt uncomfortable with them or because they made my nightmares come to life by not paying enough attention. (I asked for highlights, the stylist accidentally dyed my whole head orange.) Trent at Salon Roxy fixed my hair and made it better than it was before. Thank you Trent! read more

Extremely disappointed, while the staff was friendly enough, I left wilt a lackluster hair cut and even worse color. My goal was to have the brassy highlights from my previous visit covered up and my roots touched up. My color literally looks the same as when I went in, except my roots are somehow more pronounced. I was charged almost $200 for what I consider to be my worst salon experience. read more

Salon Roxy is exactly what Valrico needed. Although I now live 100 miles away, I make the trip. Its absolutely worth the drive because my stylist Trent is the best! Everyone at Salon Roxy makes you feel like you are the most important client, whether its the person who greets you as you walk in the door, or the person answering the phone. All of the stylists take turns helping each other, so if someone has a client in the chair, they can focus on them. People always ask me who does my hair, and I tell them with pride. I even refer people in my area to Salon Roxy because when you find a place like this, you want everyone to know how great it is. read more

First I want to precede this review by saying that I loved Stephanie and she does an amazing job, BUT I won't be returning to this salon. The last visit here was extremely disappointing to me. I went and showed the stylist the color I wanted, which was an icy platinum blonde. I'm not a stylist so I have no idea how to achieve this look, but when I left I had a heavily foiled look, not an all over color, for $200. I went home and asked my husband and he agreed it wasn't like the picture. So I called and talked to Stephanie the next day. She agreed it wasn't exactly like what I wanted so she said she'd like to have me wait about 4 weeks before we corrected the color, for my hair to "rest". When I returned 4 weeks later she corrected my color and then told me there would be a charge of $150. ?!?! I was floored. I told her that I didn't get what I wanted the first time and this was a correction and I hadn't expected to pay anything except tip. She said she could adjust the price a bit, but would have to charge me something, even if I had returned the next day after my original appointment. I was floored. Why was I expected to pay to correct something that wasn't right in the first place? Stephanie was wonderful and I have no problem paying a pretty penny for my hair, but I don't agree with paying for something that wasn't right to begin with. read more

I worked with Trent for my wedding in September. He did mine, my two daughters and my maid of honor's hair. From the consult to the day of I could not have had a better experience. Trent was warm, personable and open to suggestions. Everyone loved their hair for the wedding, myself included! I could not have been more satisfied with the experience. read more
