I just left "Salon" Rouge this afternoon after a horrible experience. My daughter had her hair TRIMMED by a Jr. hairstylist---no blowdry or styling just a very basic trim from the bottom of her hair. Twenty minutes later we were told it cost a whopping $40 for a trim!! The hairstylist who trimmed my daughter's hair couldn't have been more than 25 years old, and probably had little experience cutting hair. I felt outraged and should have talked to the owner on the spot, but instead waited until I returned home, only to find out her hair was cut unevenly. Talk about adding insult to injury! When I contacted the owner, she said "maybe this salon isn't the place for you". First off to refer to your business as a "salon" is simply ridiculous and almost comical. At best, you are a very small shop in Norwood center that offers mediocre, from what I observed and experienced first-hand, haircutting services. Not much more than a barbershop actually, except there are some tacky french inspired photos hanging on the wall which probably came from TJ Max. Honestly, the owner should be embarrassed to refer to her shop as a "salon" and charge such outrageous prices for the kind of awful service we received today. Rest assured, I will be certain to let everyone know just how awful this establishment is. Salon Rouge should be changed to "Salon Rogue" for an unprincipled place of business that overcharges and offers a poor experience. It's a shame that Serenity Hair Salon just down the street was closed today, (where I have taken my daugher before and we were very happy with the price and quality of service), otherwise we never would have encountered this horrible place! read more
