I [unsuccessfully] tried a few then found a review for Salon Beni and decided to give it a shot. I'm so happy I did! The staff at the salon are so friendly, and my stylist, Sam, is awesome. She listens to my ideas and concerns, and works with me to find the right cut, color, and style for my hair. I love the scalp massage you get when they shampoo you! A hairdresser has been cutting and coloring my moms hair. In all honesty, she does a great job ... With my moms hair and my moms laid back personality. With my hair however, I am extremely picky and I loved my long hair. I asked for a trim maybe two inches... And she went ahead and cut at least eight inches off without any permission. I described my long hair to her as my security blanket. Clearly she had her own vision. She told me it's just hanging there and to take a pill. Her profession is to cut the hair as directed by the client, I could not be more disappointed with my experience. As I was crying in the chair, upset with her lack of ability to follow directions, she told me "people will be asking about where you got this cut." I said no bangs, she went ahead and gave me bangs. What a horrible experience. It's not that the cut itself that is horrible, it's her ignorance, lack of professionalism, and sarcasm that drove me to write my first review on Yelp. To make it worse, she charged me. I will never go back and I advise you the same. Now for Christmas I asked for extensions. Thanks for ruining my holiday pictures and self confidence. read more

I was visiting in town from Houston and decided to try Salon Beni based on the Yelp reviews and its location in Walpole. I was so pleasantly surprised with how the energy and service was....loved being pampered. I met Michelle, my stylist who definitely listened to what I was looking for in hair color and style. My haircut and color came out exactly how I pictured it. Thanks to all who made my experience so worth while. I will visit again when I am back in town. I have been a customer of Salon Beni since it opened. I actually followed one of the owners, Katie Bacon when she opened the salon. I've been Katie's client for over fifteen years, but have seen other stylists in her salon at various times due to scheduling conflicts. I have always had a positive experience at the salon and with Katie specifically. Katie is a true professional and listens to her clients. In fact, all of the stylists do. They take the time in the consult to work with their client. I think the beauty industry is difficult to be in, and to be able to color and cut takes a great deal of patience, care and talent. Katie and her staff have all of these qualities. They strive to make every experience excellent, and if needed they will make adjustments and changes with the utmost professionalism and customer service. I highly recommend Salon Beni! read more

Jillian O'Brien is amazing at both cuts and color. I have thin short hair so I'm picky with my how my hair is angled. I've done foil, baylage and base color with her and loved it all. I'm obsessed with ash tones and she always gets it right. She is very detailed and doesn't rush the appointment. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is relaxing. I've been to Salon Beni before for my son's haircut before and have been very happy. His hairdresser is Katie Bacon who is amazing. However, I went in for a hair color today and the customer service was TERRIBLE. The stylist who colored my hair was great - since I have dark hair and a low hair line I explained to her that I stain a lot and she needed to be careful. Well, she did a good job and then I was handed off to someone who shampooed my hair. Well, since I wasn't getting my hair blow dried, I was given the option to dry my hair myself which is fine (I guess) but this gal left my hair dripping wet and didn't even bother to give me a towel to dry my hair. Then she has the gall to hand me a bottle of color remover and cotton in case I wanted to remove this black ring of color that was around my face and all over my neck. Really?!?!? Shouldn't that be something you would have done while shampooing my hair??? I have never been so angry before. How can you just leave your customers to 'finish themselves' up - what kind of service is this? They gave me $15 off my service because I kicked up a HUGE fuss but I don't think I'm going to take my hair color work back to them ever again. Totally unacceptable! read more

I called in at 1:30 and they fit me in at 2:00 for a haircut. My stylist kelly was awesome and super nice, she knew exactly what to do to make my hair look amazing! I would travel from anywhere to come back to this beautiful salon. $50 for a shampoo cut and blow out. I am so beyond angry right now that I didn't even wait to leave the parking lot before writing this review. I took my son in for a haircut that he needed specifically for a show he was doing and showed them a picture of exactly what we wanted. However the hairstylistWas taking a bit long with the haircut so I went over to take a peek and I instantly wanted to cry because what was asked of her it was nothing like what we got. The hair was supposed to be long and instead we got along mullet was shaved sides nothing like the picture that we showed her. She then said well I asked him if he wanted the side shorter and he said yes to which I replied he is a teenager you should have asked the mother who is out here and paying for it and when he said he wanted it shorter that means he wanted it shorter than what it was not short to the skin. I don't know about you but maybe when cutting hair you should always start off long that way if they don't like it they can take a little bit off but you can't put hair back on once you've taken it all off. The kid looked absolutely ridiculous. To top it all off when I asked to speak to the owner she began to defend her hairstylist and kind of fight me on it instead of saying I'm sorry we will fix this. Even the other stylist who I was showing the picture to look at me funny like that wasn't even what you asked for so I know I'm not crazy and to top it all off it was his birthday dinner tonight which we are now I half hour late for because they're supposedly trying to re-fix something that they can't fix because they already took too much off. Instead of a refund or $10 offOr even an apology which is what I wanted the most now I am late for a birthday dinner and this poor kids hair still looks absolutely ridiculous. Bottom line if I show you a picture that's what I want also don't ask a teenager questions asked the parent who's paying for it. I will never go back again I am so disgusted with this place. read more

My favorite stylist at my old salon had left and I was desperate for a haircut in the next few days so I decided to try some place new. I happened to be driving by Salon Bėni on my lunch break and stopped in to schedule an appointment. I am so glad that I decided to do this. The owners of this salon thought of everything, the place is neatly decorated and the staff is super helpful- exactly what you want in a hair salon. I arrived a few minutes early and was offered coffee, tea, and water which was a nice touch. The chairs were comfortable and even though I was early I only had to wait a few minutes until my stylist, Jill, greeted me. Before we did anything Jill had me sit down and explain to her what I wanted done to my hair and what I wanted to achieve with my cut. This was the first time a stylist actually asked what I wanted to achieve. Of course, I go to my appointments with a general idea, but its nice to be able to just describe or show someone pictures and have them understand immediately, Jill was just like this. I've never had a stylist who completely understood what I want in such a short amount of time! After we spoke about what I wanted for my cut, Jill took me over to the sinks and washed my hair. She used a shampoo that would help with product buildup and then used a regular shampoo. She was nice and friendly, like most stylists, but what I appreciated the most was how she explained the products she was using on me. She even gave me a scalp massage which was a nice touch! I felt completely comfortable with Jill, and as someone with long hair my entire life, I am pretty attached to my hair. She understood that and never pressured me to have my hair done any way besides the way I wanted, again something I really appreciate. To sum up my review, Salon Bėni is great and I would recommend it to anyone. Jill was a great stylist and super talented. Terrible. The lady did a ABSOLUTELY terrible job on my hair. Balayage came out platinum blonde... when I initially told her I wanted a natural blonde/brown. So then after hating my hair... I called back and the lady "corrected" my hair and was so unapologetic. She wasn't listening to me and I was asking if she could fix it and to dye it over and start new.. she gave me attitude and said she would only put toner in my hair for zero cost. I agreed and said okay. After getting toner in my hair, it looked green and dull and no life to it. On top of that, after washing the toner out the lady asked if I wanted the rest of my hair to be blow dried after having less than half of my hair dried. I was absolutely mortified and wanted to leave because of the way she treated me so I just left. I'm all set with this place. So today, I went to a NEW salon and they FINALLY fixed my hair! Salon beni is awful they use cheap products... the products smell like manure. Don't waste your money on this salon, it's absolutely terrible and I left this place in tears TWICE. read more

I had an unexpected day off work, so I decided to take a chance on Salon Beni. I was very happily surprised. MARK was my colorist, and he is amazing! We talked about what I had, what I wanted and some of his ideas. MARK made color magic! He managed to create a multi-dimensional beautiful red! There are amazing highlights and lowlights and tons of depth, all done with out foils. To top it off he did a great blow out! I plan on making an appointment with MARK soon for a haircut. read more

I've been in for a cut and a color. My hair was really damaged and a horrible shade due to coloring at home. Samantha did a fantastic job on the cut and on turning my horrible at home color job into a beautiful natural shiny multi dimensional color. I love it!
