I have finally found a great hair stylist, Jamie Gonzales, who knows how to work with my fine, thin, chemo treated hair. My hair looks full and beautiful and it reminds me when I was younger. I appreciate that Jamie always looks nice when she comes to work. She makes it comfortable for me to talk to while she is working on my hair. Jamie goes out of her way to ensure my hair looks perfectly, if it doesn't she works with it until we're both pleased with it. Thank you Jamie! I followed my nail lady here after she decided to start working at this salon when it first opened up, and I really do enjoy it! The atmosphere is very calm and inviting. The decorations are modern and classy. Each time I come, I am greeted by someone at the front which I appreciate. This salon offers hair service and nails from what I know. I am not entirely sure of what other services may be offered, but I do know that the best of the best work here, and they are committed to their work. It is never overly busy when I come which I love because you never feel overwhelmed or crowded. There is always a place to park, and there are a lot of fast food places in the same lot so you can always grab a bite to eat before or after your pampering session! Not a good cut. They took 9 inches off and left my hair looking choppy and uneven. They offered to fix, but shame me once, shame on you, shame me twice, shame on me. Have an appt tonight to pay someone else to fix it. Just don't have confidence in them to go back. The first time I came in, my hairdresser did a fantastic job. She was charming, funny and okay with lapses in conversation. I can't remember her name otherwise I would request her every time. She kept her station tidy and clean, and the whole atmosphere is trendy, fun and vibrant. It feels like you're in LA or NYC. I superbly enjoyed my time there. She listened to me with my hair troubles and complaints as I was acclimating my long, curly hair from a damp humid climate to a dry and arid climate, and erred on the safe side when I requested a trim - she didn't go overboard, or create an underwhelming standard. It was great. However the second time - I was given a new hairdresser. I should have asked what her version of two inches was. I went in with hair down to my lower back and came out with hair just below my shoulders. On what WORLD is that difference two inches? How do you fit eight inches into two, pray tell? I don't know but somehow she did it. She should have pursued a physics degree. I paid, and never looked back. From now on I will be trimming my own hair. At least it saves anyone else if I screw up. At least I know what two inches of hair look like. Overall, I like this place. I like the feeling and layout. I may go back in the future, especially if they advertise ethnically savvy hairdressers. But for now, you can find me in my bathroom trimming my own hair. read more
