Took my teenage son in to get his hair trimmed and tips bleached. 4 hours, yes FOUR hours later, his bleach was greenish and to his roots. The messiest and most EXPENSIVE bleach job. When it comes to my hair, I trust very few people. My friend recommended Mi to me and I can definitely say I trust Mi with my hair after meeting her for the first time yesterday. She is very sweet & definitely skilled. Having dark hair, I wasn't sure how much lighter I could go since my hair was pretty much virgin after not dying it for 5 years & numerous haircuts. I remember the first time I got it ombréd, I was told I would only be able to achieve a medium warm toned blonde because ash would take a few sittings with how dark my hair was. So I was already expecting a warm tone this time around. I showed Mi the different styles & shades I was wanting and somehow she was able to create the perfect shades and was even able to get that Ash tone that I was wanting and she was able to achieve the cut I wanted exactly like the picture. I went to see Mi for some serious color correction! She did not disappoint. The last stylist i went to fried my hair and was overall lazy. Mi advised me via text what was needed and the appointment was set. I have very thick hair (im polynesian). Its very hard for me to find anyone in Vegas who can help me manage my hair. I feel very lucky there was a last minute cancellation so that I was able to get in on short notice. I'm glad Mi prefers texting because I had messaged her after hours the night before and received a surprisingly quick reply the next morning. I've always had trouble sticking with a hairstylist because they either didn't really listen, didn't quite understand what I wanted, or they just cost too much for a simple cut. Mi paid attention to what I told her about my thin and fragile shoulder-length hair and was extra careful when shampooing (gentle massage) and blow drying (medium heat) it. With her expertly skillful scissorhands, she then gave me a lovely low maintenance, layered cut based on two reference pictures I showed her. It felt like my hair finally had some life breathed into it! Mi's charge for a haircut is reasonable (not crazy expensive) for the quality results, and it was a 30 minute drive for me to get there. I think she's worth the trip, and I look forward to seeing her again when my hair is ready for another resuscitation. :) read more

I'm not usually the person that picks a random stylist on yelp to go to without knowing them prior (hair is a big thing for me) but I'm so glad I went with my gut on this one! Mi is a professional and really cares about her craft. I felt completely safe with her word and the results turned out amazing! I had previous blue black box dye in my hair and used a color strip on it after a while, then let it grow out. It needed some help. Mi told me realistic expectations with the goal I had in mind for my hair, and I am pleased to say that I love my hair more than the picture I showed her! She really makes you feel comfortable and so nice to talk to in between! For the past 2 months I have been scouring a lot of hair salons looking for something decent that meets my needs after having a very bad experience at getting a A line Bob haircut. I stumbled upon this Mi Yoon's yelp page by accident and looked into her. I decided to try her out so I booked an appointment with her. She was very nice during the whole process from booking to the actual haircut with fast response time. An extremely friendly girl and not too chit chatty when I did not want to talk, which was wonderful. There was unfortunately a slight communication problem over what kind of style I wanted, however, was easily resolved when she took some time to explain some differences I was unaware of. She did a perfect, clean, smooth cut all around and came out very beautifully with very little issues.
