I've had decades worth of haircuts that never worked for me. My hair always broke off, was prone to split ends, and never grew. I had a mixed experience here. Booking was super easy and I appreciated all the reminders--it made the process really smooth. The salon itself is beautiful and welcoming. My stylist did a great job with my haircut, and I could tell she's efficient and experienced. That said, I did run into an issue with the color service. The dye left visible staining along my hairline, temples/sideburn area, and behind my ears, which I wasn't informed about until after everything was done and I saw it in the mirror. The stylist did try to remove it, but it didn't come off easily, so I left with noticeable staining on my skin. I understand that things can happen, especially with different products, but I do wish there had been more communication in the moment and a more thorough final check/cleanup before I left the salon, especially since the staining was visible in multiple areas. Unfortunately, I'm not very comfortable waiting for it to fade on its own, and I'm also not inclined to return for a future service. Overall, I think this place has a lot going for it, but I hope they can improve the finishing process and post-service support so clients don't leave with unexpected issues. Needed a haircut before my trip and left a message on Yelp on EVOQ's page to "get pricing and availability" late on Labor Day, hoping to get an appointment the following day. Got a text and an email from them around 10am in the morning and I had two choices to choose from. I picked 12 noon with Kristie. The salon is spacious, modern, bright, chic, and clean, with high ceilings. Kristie was great, she listened to my needs and gave me what I wanted efficiently. Before getting my hair cut, my hair was washed and then conditioned with somewhat of a hair mask. A steamed towel infused with the aroma of lavender was placed on my head while the conditioner was soaking in. I felt pampered! read more

She is always on time and on her game!!! She gives the best shampoos ever!!! It is a mini massage like no other!!! Had my second curly cut with Allison Boyce today and I'm so beyond happy with my hair!! First, I'll start off by saying that as a licensed hairdresser myself, I am VERY picky about my haircuts. I've only been able to find 4 people (including Allison!) in the last 25 years that can cut my hair exactly the way I'd cut it if I were able to have an out of body experience. lol Additionally, as someone that has major trust issues from past haircut traumas, I tend to have a lot of anxiety about getting my haircut. Unfortunately curly hair easily gets butchered. However I genuinely felt at ease the entire time! Allison's warm personality, confidence and experience is definitely reassuring during every step, from the consultation and relaxing wash to the precision of the haircut and blow dry. Wow! I did not realize this salon was so close to my house. I've been in Vegas 30 years, had a great stylist who moved, and have been driving all across town to find the perfect one. I first went on Monday to just have it washed and styled. Had cataract surgery and couldn't do myself. She did an amazing job. I asked who was best for bangs and styling-Allison, I was told. I had my visit with Olivia who was assisted by Jessica, both ladies were very sweet and had a gentle touch while handling my mane, I have A LOT of hair. When it came to rinsing out the color, Jessica washed my hair. She gave me a scalp massage and topped it all off with a hot towel that smelled like eucalyptus and lavender! I could have fallen asleep at any minute. When it came to my hair cut, I showed Olivia a picture of what I wanted and told her I wanted my hair to feel lighter, with lots of movement, but keeping as much length as possible. Management went about this completely wrong! I am still receiving damage and hair fallout, I cry every day from all my hair falling out. It's everywhere! Alexis has stripped me of my confidence but what's worse is management not offering an apology. It's only gotten worse and I wasn't offered a partial refund, a redo, an apology! NOTHING!!! I'm chemically burned and scarred! I will always suffer with PTSD from this... Update: I don't care how you respond I refuse to read it! You need to learn how to apologize to a client because this was my experience and my truth and my feelings are valid! I am not "stalking" or "harassing" anyone! What I thought was going to be a relaxing and thoughtful gift for my mom this Christmas was nothing but an uncomfortable and painful appointment. I scheduled an appointment for her at 2:00 pm with Allison Boyce for a "signature cut"which included a haircut as well as a nourishing scalp "massage". It is extremely ironic how this hairstylist has many videos on her page regarding how special it is to wash someone's hair, that it is more than just washing it, she says it is " a moment for the client to breathe to melt into the chair, and to just be". This is the feeling that I wanted my mom to experience. She started off by brushing her dry **curly**hair aggressively and yanking on it without asking if she was tugging too hard. At this point my mom noticed she was losing a lot of hair. When she got moved to the wash bowl the hairstylist was scrubbing her head extremely rough and pulling at her hair. She never asked if the water temperature was ok for her and again if she was being too rough which is a question every hairstylist asks. My mother says this was the most painful part of her experience. Hours later her scalp is still very sore. When it came time to style her hair she was not flexible with styling her with how my mom asked for it. She had originally wanted her part to be on the side but then asked if she could see what it would look like down the middle Allison insisted that it was fine on the side. As well as when it came to the shape my mom wanted a "U" shape and again she said since it had already dried she was going to leave it as a straight line. Throughout the service there was no communication about the products that were being used either. The videos of her preforming this service on others on instagram was false advertisement. We are kind and considerate people we arrived early to her appointment, tipped over 40 percent beforehand and it enrages me that all things considered she still had the audacity to treat my mom like this. My mother could not help but feel like she was discriminated against. I'd really hope you look into this. read more

I came in for a haircut with curtain bangs but ended up really disappointed. One side was cut well, the other side looked completely different. Another stylist tried to fix it but made it much worse and suggested it was my hair's fault. When I mentioned that Sarah, another stylist at the same salon, had cut my hair perfectly before, the stylist got visibly frustrated and said, 'Wowww,' then told her colleague, 'We did whatever we can.' When Sarah did my hair, I not only had no complaints about the cut itself, she was also very nice and had excellent customer service. I left unhappy and will need to wait for it to grow out before I can get it corrected elsewhere. Update: I added 2 stars because of Emilie, the business owner. She contacted me over the phone. She was nice and understanding of my situation. I sent her the reference picture I came with and the haircut I've got, she apologized on a behalf of her employees and offered a full refund, including tips. I was impressed that she didn't try to create any excuse for her employees, and she told me right away that situation like should never happen. read more

I had an excellent experience at EVOQ this past weekend. I recently moved to the Las Vegas area and needed to find a new hairdresser after many years. EVOQ was so highly rated on Yelp, and I loved the ease of their website's online booking tool! I was able to make the appointment I wanted. I accidentally booked for the wrong weekend, and when I called the salon to fix it, the receptionist was so friendly and professional and was quickly able to rebook me to the correct date. When I arrived, I was greeted quickly and only had to wait a few minutes for my stylist, Silvia. Silvia and I hit it off immediately, and she was able to perfectly match my existing color. She really listened to me and make suggestions about what cut would be best, and we chatted steadily about life in Las Vegas during my whole appointment. The salon is clean, bright and spacious, and the sinks are very comfortable (no weird neck placement). They also offer a choice of complimentary Fiji Water, wine, coffee or tea during your visit. I gotta say, my hair looks and feels incredible! I was so nervous about trying out a new place after many years with my previous stylist back in California, but Yelpers did me right in recommending EVOQ! Cannot be happier to have found a luxury salon near my neighborhood and leave with a beautiful hair cut! I desperately needed a "self care/me" day and knew I needed a trim badly. She's a specialist in cutting which is great so at least she knew all the hair style trends for us ladies watching HairTok. She recommended a deep conditioning treatment with Keratase products and then trimmed a little on my length, added fame frame layers and curtain bangs. The whole experience from wash, deep conditioning- lasts for 6 hair washes btw ($45 extra), hair cut, blow dry and style (starting $65) was amazing! Wasn't able to get a before photo on my phone but let's just say my hair is feeling brand new, bouncy, shiny, and healthy. I just love it! I'm itching to add hair color soon. I had a balyalage plus haircut there. When I called they told me balyalage is $250 haircut is $70. So I booked the appointment. My hairstylist Jessica really took the time to do my hair. My appointment was at 10am and finished at 5pm. She told me in the beginning how much it would cost. At the end I paid $510 including tips. (I tipped her 20% i have always been a good tipper). I thought that was kinda pricey. I realized the hair stylist charged me on every hair product she used on me (hair oil, hair spray). I have gotten baylage couple times. It was always been around $350, so this was pricey. I don't know if my hairstylist was new to doing hair or what, she was slow. I liked my hair, but it wasn't amazing for what i paid. I went to this salon for a cool toned brown almost black color and curtain bangs as shown here the first time the color wasn't close to what I wanted and didn't give bangs and the second time she gave me the color I wanted but she gave me full bangs when I asked for the curtain bangs to start at near the bottom of my nose as well as shown what I wanted at the beginning of the appointment. Her excuse was when she cut it my hair went higher than she thought. But there's a difference between cutting curtain bangs and full bangs. If I showed pictures of what I wanted this shouldn't happen. I had waited a full year to get my hair cut and grew my hair out. This was not a good experience at all. I paid $270 including tip for this. Update: Emily, the owner, was very empathetic and called me to apologize. She didn't gaslight or blame me for what had happened and did what she could to mitigate the situation. read more
