The thing about Japanese culture is that the standards are simply higher and better than American standards. I love the cut that tatsuya gives me and it suits my style. There's never an issue or hair out of place. I usually go for a hush cut and what I love is that Tatsuya will make recommendations based on your face. The massage portion is also super relaxing. read more

When Tatsuya says precise, he means PRECISE. I asked for a trim, didn't really have anything in particular in mind. Everything turned out perfectly symmetrical. Hair still looks perfect the next morning. I have medium-thickness slightly wavy hair, and frizz is my worst enemy. NOT AFTER VISITING THE SALON!! By the end of the service, my hair was so soft and smooth! To get this level of smoothness, I would need to use a flat iron, but Tatsuya achieved this with just a brush and blow dryer. read more

My hair was a long overgrown mess and Tatsuya fixed it exactly how I wanted: medium length hush cut with milk tea beige color. I am a repeat customer of over 1 year and I usually jump around different salons. The Japanese hair cutting techniques, attention to detail, and service are are top notch here. read more

I got the best haircut that I have ever had in my whole entire life yesterday. I was really excited trying somewhere new after my stylist for 5+ years hadn't been delivering. Online the Salon comes highly recommended and after being there, you will know why. He measured the length to my cheekbones to the bottom of my drawer, wanted my hair to line up there and cut off all the dead ends. I had about 5 to 10 minutes in the head spa before my haircut, which was extremely relaxing. Next time I come, I want to do a pure head spa appointment and maybe a deep conditioning. The care that was taken on my hair, the amount of time make everything perfect and how good it looked after was unexpected. Looks like I found my new spot! read more

Yosuke was amazing! As a first-time client, he took the time to really listen to what I wanted and understood the style of haircut I was looking for. He also educated me on the proper way to dry and care for my hair, correcting some misconceptions I had picked up from previous salon visits. I truly appreciated the time, attention, and personalized service he provided. I left feeling confident and informed. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for an exceptional stylist and outstanding customer service. read more

I wish I could give ARK LV and Tatsuya 10 stars. The experience was everything. I am always nervous trying a new hair stylist because I have been going to my previous stylist for 15 years, but she is in California. However, Tatsuya did not disappoint. Making an appointment with Tatsuya was easy. I messages him on Instagram and promptly received a response and had an appointment 3 days later. Upon entry into the salon, the aesthetics were singing to the minimalist in me. I love how simple and clean the salon is. Tatsuya is so kind and spent the time go over what look I was trying to achieve. I had waist length blonde hair and was going for a drastic change and I felt that he understood what I wanted which was a short shoulder length bob with face framing curtain bangs and I wanted to go back to my natural color, which is black. He spent time sectioning my hair to apply the color and made sure it was saturated so there wouldn't be any missed patches. I really loved that he put ear covers on me to prevent getting color on my ears. The real treat was the hair wash. It was literally the best hair wash I've ever gotten and I will be returning to try the head spa. It was so relaxing with the right amount of pressure. Afterwards, I felt like I could smell colors it was so good. Tatsuya was very meticulous in his hair cuts making sure to measure twice to ensure evenness. He did a detailed dry cut which reduced a lot of weight off my hair. Afterwards I felt so light that I could fly. Overall, I would highly recommend Tatsuya and will be returning. I could tell he loves what he does and pays a lot of attention to detail and doesn't cut corners. read more

Tatsuya and I had been in contact after my first session and he understood that I needed the blending fixed. He reached out to me and offered to re-do the service. I was satisfied and happy with the improvement which he fixed at no additional cost to me. It was a very thoughtful and accommodating gesture to take his time to correct things. The blend looks much better and he toned it a little darker which I think is much more fitting. Like before, he definitely takes his time and tries his best to be meticulous. He gave me a great and soothing hair spa during the wash and styled with both a flat iron and curling iron. The photo update is from a few days later after I had washed it again. I will continue to come back for touch ups and retoning. read more

Saw on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I was so happy I did, because I had the best experience. Yosuke was so knowledgeable and experienced. He was precise in his cutting and also pointed out some issues he saw with my current hair and adjusted accordingly to fix those. He was thorough and meticulous. I have been searching for a long time for a stylist in Vegas who can actually cut hair well and so happy I came here. Will definitely be going back for my next cut. read more

Amazing service. Very considerate and knowledgeable. Expectation met. Will be returning.

I just went here to get a haircut today, and the haircut was decent. What made me uncomfortable was that( the hairdresser ) his fingers kept touching my face while cutting my front hair, and I felt so uncomfortable but was embarrassed to say it out. Because the situation was ambiguous! He held my hair in front while cutting my hair, and his fingers touched my face with my hair . I am sure he could have cut my hair without his fingers physically touching my face. At least have some distance! I don't imply any implications, maybe that is his style to cut customers' hair! But he needs more professionalism and recognition not any customers could accept that! Overall, having the hair cut experience was unpleasant to me! read more

First: I want to say about the salon: super clean, bright and spacious. Very much Japanese style. Second: I got the best massage hair wash ever! It was so relaxing! Third: I want to say Tatsuya is an awesome hair stylist. My super long hair (pass my waist) is beautifully cut to below mid back with multiple layers. I absolutely love it and totally recommend this salon and ask for Tatsuya as your stylist. He took the time to ask what you like and if the style is right for you. The style I got I would never thought it would look good on me. Multiple layers is nice for long hair. It helps not to drag the hair down. Again Tatsuya did and awesome job...Thank you! read more

I'm very particular about my hair this is my first time but not the last. It's one of the best salons I've ever been to in Vegas. Reasonably priced for the quality of the cut. TLDR: Tatsuya is attentive and extremely skilled. My hair was exactly the length that I wanted (ladies, y'all know how difficult that is sometimes!) So sooo glad to have found Ark LV and Tatsuya! I was looking for a fresh cut and possibly color for Lunar New Year. Not all places can color AND cut with skill. The last time I tried colouring my hair in a "natural way to highlight my natural curls and waves," it turned out looking like a highlighting job done in my kitchen with the wrong color! When I reached out to Tatsuya, I didn't know exactly how to explain what I wanted. I sent photos that were as close as possible to what I wanted and tried to explain what I was looking for. I crossed my fingers, closed my eyes, and trusted in Takuya's expertise and the reviews that were left here. Lo and behold...everything was PERFECT. My hair was exactly the length I wanted (y'all know some stylists be scissor-happy ) and love how he made sure my hair framed my face in the best way. This was one of THE BEST salon experiences I have ever had. Tatsuya takes his time and explains each part of the process. I appreciated little touches like the cape with arm holes and ear covers to prevent any color from getting on there. I HIGHLY recommend treating yourself to the head spa - it was so relaxing and my scalp felt so clean and refreshed after. I have found a new stylist and hair salon home! read more

A long overdue review for Tatsuya and his incredible skills! I visited shortly after the salon first opened, and even though Tatsuya was experiencing some discomfort on the day of my appointment, he graciously kept our session as planned (I would've happily rescheduled, but his dedication speaks volumes!). From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the salon's clean and minimalistic vibe--it felt welcoming and professional. It had been a while since my last haircut, and I was beyond excited. Tatsuya exceeded all my expectations! He's a true artist and perfectionist. From the thorough hair wash to the meticulous way he sectioned and cut my hair, every step showed his passion and expertise. He carefully crafted layers that framed my face beautifully and ensured everything was perfectly even--something that isn't always easy to find. As if the precision cut wasn't enough, Tatsuya went the extra mile by showing me how to style my new look to achieve the same face-framing effect. I walked out feeling so confident and refreshed. If you're looking for someone who truly loves their craft and will take the time to make sure you leave with a flawless cut, Tatsuya is your guy. His attention to detail and care is unmatched. Highly, highly recommend! read more

I rarely leave yelp reviews but I really enjoyed my experience here and there's not a lot of salons that deals with Asian hair in LV. I haven't had my hair cut in over a year because my old salon of 10+ years was in California, and when she moved to Texas, it was time to find a new home salon. So I decided to try Ark LV based on the yelp reviews, insta videos, and I'm so glad I did! Check out their instagram account for hair cut/color inspirations. Tatsuya is very kind, dedicated, and you can tell he loves his craft. He's a one man team, super detailed oriented, and makes sure you like your haircut before you leave. It's also very relaxing with the music playing in the background! It's simple to make an appointment: just DM Ark LV on instagram and you'll be accommodated in no time! So happy Tatsuya is here in Vegas. The one and only Japanese hairstylist in town. I have lived here for over 5 years and barely now finding someone who truly understands Asian hair. He takes the time to examine your hair health, ask about your lifestyle and then suggest styles that will work best for your face shape and hair routine. It is not often that I am without words. Tatsuya is a master of his craft. He is by far one of the most skilled stylists I have seen in years. I asked for Sabrina Carpenter curtain bangs and that's what I got, they're PERFECT. My layers are incredibly perfect also. Mind you- this was my first time seeing Tatsuya, I put a lot of trust in him and was rewarded. I actually cried with joy seeing my new hair because of how happy I was. I have been looking for a skilled hair artist and this place is exactly what I was looking for! I asked for a hush/wolf cut which is a lot of shaggy layers while keeping hair long and he really delivered. My natural hair was a bit damaged because of years of bleach so I asked him to try to remove all the dead hair as best as possible and he did such a good job! While still keeping my hair long and full looking. Styling my hair at home has been so easy after my hair cut. What I loved the most is I can see his hair cutting skill in an instant. Usually I don't like other hair salons because they just go to cosmetology school and just cut hair the same way they are taught - which doesn't always work for everyone's different face and hair type. But this place is very skillful in how they cut the hair and leaves your hair in better quality. Highly recommend! I can't wait to go back again! Also a bonus is the hair washing and head massage was so stress relieving! read more
