It wasn't special looking like you except everybody expects to be beautiful like you would expect from a make-up artist. I looked like me with too much makeup not natural at all and maybe special. My face has no wrinkles and was a great palette no blemishes. It took way too long and I was very late getting to my reunion. She does makeup for models etc. I'm not young at the time around 50 that was not the problem. Applying all that makeup maybe made it scary to the people at the reunion they might have wondered what was wrong with me. I was being stared at and It wasn't because I looked so good. I would also put a mirror so you could see what she was doing and able to instruct if something is out of your character. When finished there was only a small mirror to see how she did. I didn't complain and or asked for my money back I paid a lot of money almost $300+. I would have better makeup from the mall. She wasn't ready at all like I just walked off the street there was terrible lighting very dark that way you can't see anything wrong My appointment was made a month prior to my reunion. If you had an appointment a month or more wouldn't you expect it to look special like what you expect a professional to have? Sorry I was very disappointed.

Everything about my experience at this salon was amazing…read more I had considered getting a crazy color for several months and finally decided to take the plunge. I. Alex to book an appointment with James, but since he's so popular he was booked. I asked the receptionist who else in the salon was good with color and she suggested Elyse. The receptionist also let me know that Janes would be in the studio to consult as needed for the color. The salon is adorable, and as soon as I walked in I knew this was the place to get that perfect funky color -- all the stylists had the cutest cuts and color. Nothing tacky or obnoxious, but rather Pinterest worthy hair all over the salon. Elyse came over and was extremely friendly. We talked for almost 15 minutes about my expectations and she eagerly flipped through all my Pinterest posts that I brought along for reference. She kept asking me for more and more details about what I exactly wanted, which made me feel like she really cared about getting me the results I most wanted. Additionally, she knew more about the style of hair I wanted (apparently called Galaxy Hair Color) and the results were fantastic. James (the owner of the salon) came over several time throughout my bleach / cut / color process to offer tips and suggestions (and also just to chat and make sure I was happy with the experience). He was extremely friendly and answered many of my hair questions that I've had for years (like what brushes I should use on my hair type and other little things). The entire process on my hair (which is down to my mid back) took about 5 hours and the salon even closed before my hair was done -- but Elyse did t care and told me that she wasn't worried about what time it was and just wanted to get my hair right, which she did. The results were amazing and I only wish I could back to Overland Park to get my hair done more often! Hand down, the most relaxed and friendly salon I have ever been in and the best work to be done on my hair outside of Los Angles and Las Vegas -- really amazing team with great energy.
