That being said, I haven't gotten my hair cut in 2 years. I finally decided to get it cut and to go somewhere. I asked around and received many recommendations but after looking at each website to compare prices, Lumine Salon had a price I was all about $25 for a student to cut my hair. Since I'm ok with friends cutting my hair with kitchen scissors, I figured a student would be much better than that! I'm SO GLAD I chose to come here. Yes, a student cut my hair, but the owner of the salon was there to ensure I got a great haircut. She made sure the stylist was using the right kind of products for my hair, checking to make sure everything was even, gave advice on what would fit my face well. The stylist and the owner were fun and professional and just took really great care of me. I could tell they really love and take pride in the work they do, and they want to do it really well. I'm sold on this place and will be regularly coming back. The service and final product have turned me from "I hate how much I have to pay, it's not worth it, I don't Care what my hair looks like" to "I can't wait to spend my money here and do it again". ALSO, adding this: they were so cautious and hygienic. I was asked to sanitize or wash my hands upon arrival, everyone wore masks, there was plexiglass in between every station, everything was cleaned after use. 10/10 on Covid cautiousness.

Desperately in need of a haircut, I made an appointment online. I selected my preferred time and date, then selected my appointment. You can also filter for specific stylist availability. I let it pick randomly because I didn't have a preference. You do have to pay a deposit and they have a no show policy but I totally get it so it wasn't a huge deal. The salon is pretty. Super clean. Lots of plants. And everyone was friendly. Madeline was my stylist and I highly recommend her. She was professional and friendly. She did a great job with my haircut and it feels and looks so much better. She didn't rush and was lovely overall. I'll definitely return and I highly recommend you visit.

Choosing Emily was honestly a shot in the dark after researching a lot of blonde specialists in the area, but I instantly connected with her vibe and her after photos, and even more so once meeting her in person! The salon itself is adorable. The music is 10/10, which immediately makes the whole experience feel fun & relaxed. The first time I went to her in September 2019, I was doing a complete color change. I was extremely nervous but I showed her a picture and she gave me exactly what I asked for. She recently did my hair again in July 2020 and I LOVE it. Because I'm the type to only go to get my hair done twice a year, she gave me a balayage that will be low maintenance. Can we talk about the ambiance? They recently moved just down the road on Johnson Drive from their previous location and they've done a fantastic job.
