Gosh, where do I even start!…read more Firstly I want to start off by saying, Reign is AMAZING at what they do and will recommend them to everyone I know! (After my appointment I definitely already sent a link to their site to a close friend!) I had never gotten my hair professionally colored before and was super nervous since I have super dark, and super long thick hair - that alone feels like a burden when I go to a regular stylist/salon in itself but when I came to Reign (using their digital consoltation form), all of my worries melted away! It was such an easy process to reach out, talk about my desires for my hair, and book! From the start, seeing Reign's work through social media leading up to reaching out for an appointment got me SO excited to let them play with my hair! They are so understanding, accepting, and such a welcoming soul - so refreshing!! From start to finish there was such an open line of communication I felt so comfortable and understood even before stepping inside their private studio. Speaking of private studio- YES A PRIVATE STUDIO- gosh it's so amazing!! I felt so at home the whole afternoon I was getting my hair done and had such a fun yet relaxing time chatting up the afternoon with them. This was such an amazing change to a more personalble experience rather than feeling rushed like at a normal salon. When looking for a stylist, a high level of trust and comfotablitly was super important to me and with the open line of communication it helped tremendously in both areas. I pride myself in my hair and with the nature of it being so long, it had been a hard journey for me to find a stylist I trust to cut and color it, but now that I've found Reign I'm not going anywhere else!! I highly recommend anyone and everyone who is looking for an awesome, personable transformative EXPERIENCE! Thank you so much Reign!!!

I won't call out any names, because I do hope this was a one time thing, but I had asked for a cut and a balayage. The cut was fine, but the balayage was the worst I have ever seen. She used foils, when its a hand painting technique (I know very little about hair, but I know that) when she was putting on the foils, I didnt say anything because shes the expert, not me. but clearly she didn't know how a balayage is done. She didn't give me a mirror to check out her work, so I didn't see the extent of the damage until I was home- I was mortified. I immediately found someone to fix it, and it still isn't what I'd want, but still a lot better than what I got from Moxie. Overall I spent $350 on a botched hair dye (including the cost of the correction) There is no way she didn't know she did a bad job, I wish she would have acknowledged that, but she didn't say anything and accepted my payment and tip.

Awful haircut! I was explicit about how to cut my hair. I wear it as a bob that looks like a straight line at the bottom. My husband was, during the pandemic, able to master the haircut but didn't want the job forever. It was cut so it is choppy and uncontrollable: looks like it was butchered by a child. The stylist's strength's is appearing to listen and take in what you are asking for when she must be thinking: I'll do whatever I want. On the other hand, it could be she only knows one way to cut hair.

I live near Parkville but had never thought to look there for some reason. After visiting Tiffany at Aura Hair Studio this past week, I'm SO glad I decided to try this place. The studio is adorable and tastefully decorated. All the staff I came in contact with were very nice and helpful. My stylist, Tiffany, did a fantastic job and really listened to what I had to say and my needs and wants. She provided input and made suggestions along the way, which I greatly appreciated. She also explained why she suggested alternatives so I would understand why that may be a better option for me. We were definitely on the same page and as a result my cut and highlights turned out wonderfully. I also got to speak to the owner for a few moments as she introduced herself and gave me some of Tiffany's background and hair expertise. The pricing is fair and competitive with other salons I've been to and researched. For partial highlights & a cut, with wash and style included, it was $110. All of their prices are online so you can decide if it's within your budget or not beforehand. While I am frugal, $110 was definitely worth walking out of the salon feeling great and having exactly what I asked for. I'm so pleased with Tiffany and all of the staff at Aura Hair Studio!

You walk in to open layout ( love it, no clutter) and it's decorative & festive at each station. There's a back wall with shelves of products for purchase that are with the salon. When it came to booking my appointment, it was a breeze using online salon booking site. I needed to add a service so I called and spoke with Katherine, the receptionist. She was very knowledgeable, helpful and recommended how to schedule what I needed based on what I'd already booked. I'd met my stylist, Kierra, by chance earlier this week. I was extremely excited to experience her skills. Pleasantries were exchanged and we jumped right into hair color selection. We vibed! She helped me land on a color then we discussed my cut. I have to mention it's been awhile since I've experienced salon service and this was truly TOP TIER! We chatted during Kierra trimming my ends, which is all I wanted because I want to keep my length. She talked about where she was cutting and why. We talked about hair care, products I use and like, how to use certain products etc. Kierra told me my hair was healthy. Yay I'm doing good! Next to the coloring.. which didn't take too long. Under the dryer, welcomed the extra heat sensation! Offered water. Rinse. Wash. The color was t as vibrant or bright as expected so in counsel with Zaida (owner- fabulous woman), they recommended highlighting and not bleach. I'm guessing my porosity, but my hair didn't absorb too much of the color as expected. It could be from prior self dyeing which was over 4 years ago. Of course I was in agreement with no bleach and appreciated the explanation. So onto the highlighting process. Kierra is such a professional and very personable. Her technique is well seasoned and made me feel so comfortable the entire time! So in between all this I'm trying to keep warm, it was just a little too chilly but I'm always cold. Using the "Powder Room" was a pleasant experience too! It's compact but functional and stylish. There was a trifecta of luxury with Ouai Hand wash, scrub and lotion for utilization that made me feel like I was at a spa! If you can't tell I enjoyed my time here and after the highlights were applied and Kierra took such care in styling my hair and telling me how to shake out the cast and so much more... Zaida facilitated hair photo shoot.. I felt like a beauty queen. I LOVE MY HAIR! I'm definitely going back! All of the other ladies and stylists who were there, gave me so many compliments and hyped me up! I also can't say enough about Kierra.. she knew my desire , executed it, has such a great personality and since of style! Oh and she is a makeup artist too! Thank you for such a fabulous salon experience!!!
