Not only did it fail to reflect, in any way, the photo that I provided to show the look I wanted, but it is also the opposite of everything I conveyed via the photo and conversation. After an unreasonable cost (given the horrible result) I will have to spend yet more money IF I can find someone to fix the mess he made. I would provide a photo of this nightmare but I'm not keen on sacrificing that much privacy. No one is obliged to take my warning to heart without evidence, but know this: I am a very rational person with a design background so I know bad design when I see it. Someone reading this may have had a very different experience with Kenneth and enjoyed a great outcome. I see several 5-star reviews--mostly to do with color and/or regarding some other stylist. However, I'd never risk my appearance by using someone who is likely to ignore my request to then create something that is the antithesis of good design. While he can make it look 'acceptable' while you are in his chair, no one would want the horrible, bulky, obviously lopsided (unintentionally) haircut I discovered after washing the 'wax' out of my hair. Yes, he used wax on my hair without first asking me. To be honest.. I would give a minus star for Kenneth, if it was allowed. Buyer beware.

What a busy salon right along Elysian Fields!…read more I went with a friend to get her hair done here the other day. It was a bit hard to find from the street and we spent a good 5 minutes walking up and down the sidewalk, iPhone in hand, trying to use Google Maps to figure out what building it was. Apparently they lost their street sign in the last hurricane, but once we got up to the door there was some lettering there that clued us in that we were at the right location. This seems to be a full-service salon that focuses mostly on ethnic hair. It had a full make-up display along with a make-up artist working on clients, lots of product for sale, nail techs in the back, a handful of salon chairs full of customers and a barber in the back room. Everyone was very friendly, everything was very clean, and most importantly my friend loved the work they did on her. Street parking is difficult along the stretch of Elysian Fields it is on and, although there is room to park right in front of the salon, that space fills quickly and you may get blocked in.

I've been calling my haircuts " dusting " since childhood bc the thought of shorter hair freaks me out. Brittany told me about the Blow Out membership at Style house and I couldn't pass it up bc let's be honest... you won't find better Blow Out deals anywhere else. I can honestly say I was a little nervous when it came time for her to suggest a "trim", but she was very patient with me and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I've now been seeing Brittany 2x's a week for the past 9 months for Blow Outs and for the first time in My LIFE, I get routine "trims" and color. She has completely transformed my hair which allows me to keep it very long and healthy!!!! Not a day goes by where I don't get compliments on my hair. Thank you Brittany and StyleHouse!
