Soon as I walk in there I was greeted but I came in there for a upper lip wax and soon as I was walking to the back one of the workers started laughing which I didn't pay it no mind. Honestly I feel scammed. They weren't friendly. They pushed and pulled my hands. My hands sat in acetone for over 45 minutes, without anyone checking on the process. My almond shaped nails all had different shapes. I asked her to correct them over and over. I had tons of acrylic under my nail and when I asked her if she could take it off she rolled her eyes, like I was needy and asking too much. As I was checking out they were mopping the floor around me at the front counter. If you want to do nails and be in the business you should at least have talent of doing nails and Customer Service is a must, they had none. These people lost my business when a customer walked in about an hour before they closed and Kim told them she would only do her nails if she got dip powder, not acrylic. Then proceeded to take other customers walking in after (one got acrylic) I then realized they are just about money and not wanting to make the customer happy. Trying to force customers to get the more expensive dip powder instead of what the customer wants. not even worth it to me. A friend told me about Megan's Nail Bar and I am so glad she did. LaPlace needed a better place that does powder dip polish. Everyone was super nice. The place is clean, and smells really good. You must get the deluxe pedicure because the foot and calf massage is awesome!! I'm picky when someone shapes my nails and she did an awesome job. They do nail art and also do eye brows. read more

I had a gel manicure completed on Friday by Sunday on almost ever finger the gel was already lifting and peeling. I went in to the shop on Monday spoke with the lady about repairing my nails it's only been 3 days now and almost every nail on my hand was lifting. I told her I would come back tomorrow due to me heading to the gym. Here it is tomorrow ( which is today) I go in to get my nails repaired. The lady only repaired two of my nails when I asked is she would repair the others she told me no. I politely said ok and walked out . I knew I would NEVER step foot in this establishment again ! I decided to drop in because I needed a quick fill/in and pedicure, a week before a Mardi Gras ball. And I wanted this place to work so I don't have to drive to Metarie every two weeks. But, frankly I find the pedicure (basic) lackluster. My nails were shaped uneven and the polish was unevenly applied. One toe looked like a stripe down the middle since there was unpolished nail bed on both sides. I went in late so felt my fill-in was rushed. Job was decent but I wouldn't go back unless I was in a bind, and only then only for a polish. Overall: meh! read more

They took me in right before they were going to close. Did a wonderful job, and even after they closed, made sure my nails were dry and hard so I can drive off and not mess up my nails up. Kim, the lady in charge is rude! I read the other comments and I can honestly say I've witnessed her push powder regardless of the customer's request. Powder cost more money When I visit a nail salon I am looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Kim's rudeness overwhelming sets the temperature of the environment. The ladies and the one gentlemen who work here are pleasant, however, they lack simple decision making power. Kim is rude to them as well. I hope the owner of this establishment considers these reviews (possibly Kim) because this could be an awesome establishment. When this salon first opened they were very nice and accommodating. I agree with the other comments, the manager Kim is very rude. I did get the gel nails because they do last longer, and I must also agree, it was Kim that suggested it. I also received a pedicure and the polish was horrible. After asking for two of the polishes in my toes be redone, I received a very rude comment from Kim telling me it was my fault. That was two months ago and I will never go back again. read more

They could not get my toe polish accurate. 1 of my toes was not polished correctly. I pointed it out and was told no worries will fix. Well instead of taking the polish off of that 1 toe to fix, more coats of polish was placed on top, which caused the color of that 1 particular toe to look different from the color of all my other toes. They kept telling me sometimes the colors vary. Well it shouldn't! How do you have 1 toe looking pink and all others look red! It took them 2 times to fix before finally someone with common sense there said let's remove the polish and re do all toes! Then to top it off, they begin speaking in their language, which is RUDE!
