(who I refer to as my "Color Queen") is not only very knowledgeable about color, she is also an expert in appropriate hair care. I have very curly, dark hair that is usually highlighted and can be very hard to maintain especially because I straighten my hair regularly. My hair has never been managed well at other salons. Katie has given me great hair care, product advice and with consistent hair treatment visits, I'm able to enjoy my highlights and my hair has NEVER looked better. I booked a manicure and pedicure and asked in advance how long the appointment would take because I had a medical appointment afterward. She told me it would take three hours, but after nearly five hours, my nails still weren't finished no polish or design so we agreed I'd come back the next day to finish. I still paid the full amount (over $150) because I trusted her and wanted to show good faith. However, she didn't respond to me the next day as agreed, and I didn't hear back from her all weekend. When she finally reached out at the end of the weekend, she said she had lost her phone, but instead of scheduling me for that Monday, she told me I'd have to wait an entire week. I had a medical emergency come up that week (which I had already told her about before even booking), and unfortunately had to cancel. When I reached out again to try and reschedule, she said she wouldn't be redoing the service and that she "doesn't do free work" even though the service was never finished in the first place. The only "solution" offered was to take off the price of a nail art design next time, even though she previously told me she doesn't charge extra for that anyway. She also tried to say the reason the appointment took so long was because I didn't know what nail design I wanted, but that's simply not true. I picked my design while she was still filing and prepping my nails, before she was even finished with that step. It felt like she was using that as an excuse to shift the blame for poor time management. In the end, I paid over $150 and walked away with incomplete work and a lot of frustration. I value small businesses, but I also value honesty and professionalism. I showed up respectfully and in good faith, but unfortunately I wouldn't book w Bailey again based on how this was handled. Especially, when I go out of my way to tip +15-25$ after every service!

They have an inviting lobby with huge windows for natural light with a beautiful view, their shampoo room is SO relaxing with dim lighting and warmed blankets to warm up after coming in from the cold, and their stations have a little drink stand to hold a complimentary beverage to keep you hydrated while you're getting your hair cut. Everyone is so nice and down to earth and relatable it just puts you at ease. Had such a positive experience that I convinced my husband to come get his hair cut here too and we both plan on coming back and will totally recommend this location :)

Chelsea took on the challenge - consulted with some of her colleagues to determine the best plan to best fix my coloring and executed professionally.
