I went again and purchased new hair from the salon for extensions that cost me $640 this time but was told would be same price as last .Hair looke new but not same quality feels different and just from brushing is slit ends all the way through not to mention already have hair falling out in 2 weeks where it is to last up to 6weeks. I have called to complain and received nothing but attitude not only from the owner Shannon but the receptionist as well. I made my appointment for a Saturday and slept in past my alarm... great first impression. I was late and so nervous to meet with my new stylist, Michelle. She looked past my tardiness and listened to my every concern. I'm thinking I may have found "the one" for my hair. After we spoke about what I wanted, the first question she asked is "what's your budget?". I was taken aback by the question because it was so thoughtful and real of her to ask. I knew what I could afford and she was willing to work within my budget. She was easy to get along with; the conversation didn't feel forced or routine. It was natural. The salon itself is beautiful. It's clean with high industrial type ceilings. The walls aren't cluttered and the shelving tastefully displays their products in a non-in-your-face kind of way. The end result made my eyes tear up! I haven't felt proud of my hair in a really long time. It would usually take 3-4 weeks after a salon trip that I'd finally start to like my hair again. The colour would be washing out, the cut slowing growing into something less blunt and choppy. This time, I left the salon SO HAPPY. I don't want my hair to grow out or the colour to fade. I absolutely adore everything Michelle did to make me love my locks again. Seriously 10/10. Not once did I feel like she was trying to sell her products or line to me, not once did I feel ripped off or overcharged. Above all of this, Michelle took the time to answer all my questions and really explain to me how I can style my hair on a day to day basis. BD North is a rare salon where customer service and education are a top priority.
