I got my hair done as part of…read morea bridal party last week and it was no where near what I had requested, or even presentable at all. I provided a picture of myself from when I had gotten my hair done for a previous wedding as an example of what I wanted (smooth, neat curls). I tried to smooth it out on my own and then asked for a touch up before they left, but she reverted it back to how she had originally styled it. The curls were not uniform at all, going every direction and frizzy. After the wedding I reached out to Lynda to say I was not satisfied with the styling (which was $125, not including tip). I was met with immediate defensiveness and even gaslighting from Lynda - saying it was because of the weather and she thought I looked great (did not go outside before taking photos). Lynda does not offer refunds, only a complimentary free styling. As I'm not local and was not happy with the services, that was of little value.

It was hard for me to leave my stylist of over 8 years, but I trusted in Catarina's work ethic & artistic ability, and can say I'm exceptionally happy here!! The salon is efficient and uses top of the line hair products- both in their services and are available for purchase! All the other stylists are friendly and just make the whole experience relaxed and welcoming! Patricia is a super customer service person and is warm and welcoming upon arrival- always with a smile... know because her eyes - she's always wearing her mask! I cannot say enough about my New cut - Brazilian Blow Out & root touch up!! Makes me smile it's really so easy to care for, even after the salon , it blow dries this easily! I really should post the before picture... ‍ The salon is always customer first. Enjoyable & very welcoming - they provide a relaxed environment, with easy on off the main route in Middletown!! Then one day while visiting Newport, it somehow popped in my head, randomly but subconsciously, that they were based out of Newport and had a store front. So I went. Getting to see their full product line and smell everything in one place was dangerous in the best way. My other favorite? Jack Frost. AMAZING! I've ordered multiple candles online since, for myself and for gifts. T customer service is awesome, and I love supporting a locally owned business. Can't make it to the store? Order online or grab them wherever they're sold. Best part? When the candle's done, the glass becomes a drinking glass. Practical brilliance. I've now converted my girlfriend, my best friend, and my family into fans. Yes, I'm a guy reviewing candles. No regrets.

I got there as quick as I possibly could and was exactly 15 minutes late and apologizing. Monica was extremely hostile towards me immediately, scolding me for using the website incorrectly. When her next client walked in, who was also late, Monica started complaining that I used the website incorrectly to her right in front of me. and, when I reiterated that I was nervous about having my eyebrows to thin (I don't usually get my eyebrows done) She angrily scolded me "you already said that." As a teenager, I've never been spoken to like that from an adult I just met and I'm very surprised that she would address a client that way. The eyebrows looked great, but I'm very disappointed with how the exchange went.

I returned for another facial last month and met with a different gal; very sweet, but provided the most unenthusiastic spa service I've ever received. Again - an absolutely fabulous facial, but left me lying on the table for 5 - 10 minutes at a time in between treatments. Get up off the chair and throw in some massage for crying out loud .. don't just let me lay there! Two fabulous facials, two totally bizarre experiences - I will be back! =) How can I not?!
