I came here for what was supposed to be in essence, just a trim. I did not get what I wanted at all. My two inch off the ends request turned into closer to 4-5 inches - AND THAT ISN'T EVEN THE WORST PART. The ends of my hair are so choppy. I don't think I've ever had a haircut this bad - and I cut my own hair when I was 16. The hairstylist also used the smelliest shampoo (not the pretty rosemary one). It was so bad, I went home and washed my hair again. I waited over a week to write this review in hopes I wouldn't be so upset, but every time I have to curl my ends to attempt to try to hide the choppy ends, I am frustrated at the lack of quality of this "salon haircut." Christina Guzmon has become my go-to person for facials and microdermabraison in particular. I've been going to her monthly now for several months and have noticed marked improvement in the evenness of tone and overall clearness of my skin. I dont feel like this place has its priorities in order. Went for a haircut and took our 20 month along along with us for his first ever haircut. One 30 min slot...my hair took about 15 min; his took about 10. However, because we didn't formally book him at the same time as me - ala double-book - my wife and 20 month old were made to wait outside early in the morning due to some sort of capacity rule. However, the explanation given was that were he formally double booked then they both could have sat comfortably in the waiting area. So somehow the capacity issue is waived on a double book, but enforced on a mom and child. Found that to be ridiculous. Even though this is now the home of our regular hair stylist, we will no longer provide our business to this salon. read more

I was urgently im need of a cut and and a color and called a few salons. This was the last place I called and luckily for me Elsa was able to get me in for a cut only. After looking over my hair and seeing how badly damaged and dried my hair was she did a deep conditioning and agreed to also do a semi color. I have been without a hair stylist for a few years now. She is consistently thorough from start to finish and she even does waxing which is so convenient! She is knowledgable on what products would benefit you without ever being pushy. It's been my experience that spending the money for routine facials saves me money in the long run on expensive clensers, spot treatments or mousturizers that don't really ease my issues, usually all I need is an appointment with Christina. Everyone here is very friendly. However, I felt rushed with most of my visits, possible communication problem between whoever books it and the person doing the service (like not informing my hairdresser about me wanting the deer conditioning..) and I may have been a few minutes late here and there, but at least I called. The one thing that totally ruined my experience was that the lady who did my pedi let me leave before they finished drying. I emphasize on the fact that I drove stick and it could be an issue...and now half my toes are messed up, devastated because I won't have time to return either. She is so knowledgeable about the science of skin care, the use of essential oils, and all sorts of self-help suggestions for her clients. I had an absolutely wonderful experience here. I called the salon on a Saturday, at 2:00, and was able to get appointment that same day. They closed at 4:00. The receptionist was very helpful, and the hairstylist, Janice, took me right away. I wasn't able to show her a picture of the style I wanted, but luckily there was another stylist who had the cut that I wanted. I even mentioned that I wanted it colored in the future. Well, Janice did that for me also. She was awesome. And my haircut and color came out stunning. I've been to other salons in the past, but this is my favorite. I went in for a consultation with Alyssa Doyle to take advantage of my Axxess card deal (50% off any color service). I provided her with a picture of what I wanted (I wanted create a more "balayage" look closer to my roots, as well as even out the color of my roots). I wanted to get rid of the brassiness on my hair which I knew in advance would require toning and possibly bleaching. Alyssa was very optimistic during the consultation. She said she would add more highlights closer to my root, and "feather up" the roots to blend more with my natural hair color. She also said while adding highlights, she would touch up on my ends to lighten them prior to toning. She stated that it was a $200 service, but would be $100 with Axxess, plus the cost of the "bowls." She said the cost would be $150 because of how much hair I have. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment and left the salon feeling confident that she would give me the results I wanted. I showed up to my appointment on 6/16/17. From the moment I sat on the chair, all optimism went out the window. Everything we discussed no longer applied. Alyssa stated she couldn't give me the results I showed her because it would severely damage my hair. I explained to her this is not what she told me during the consultation but she argued with me. As a matter of fact, she argued with me about EVERYTHING from that moment on. She also said "This is a $300/$400 dollar job so you're looking at spending AT LEAST $150, plus the cost of the bowls." I again explained to her that this is not what she told me during the consultation. She argued with me and said she never said the service ran at $200, but SHE DID. I should've walked away at that moment, but being the impatient person that I am, I decided to stay because I was desperate for a change. I wasn't sure about how I felt about the placement of the foils during the process, but I just waited. Once she washed my hair and added the toner, I knew something was wrong. She insisted hair can always be fixed if I didn't like it, so I immediately freaked out. She ended up using a very ashy toner and my hair was darker than what I had asked for. When I told her this, she argued with me saying this is what I wanted (which clearly was not what was on the picture). I understand that I may not get exactly what I want. But this was not even close. The highlights didn't blend well, they did not have that "painted look" and when I pointed that out to her, she once again argued with me and said "That's how they are supposed to be." They were nothing like the picture and there were strands with either dark or blonde spots on them. Once she was done (and it was past closing time), she said I could go back for toning in the next week since my hair was too ashy. She mentioned I would have to pay for the product (which I was already hesitant about). Once I got home, I noticed several mistakes. One highlight on top of my head was much closer to the root than all the others. There were dark spots that spilled over to some of my light strands, and some lightened spots where the bleach was spilled on. I contacted the salon ASAP and scheduled an apt for the corrections with Alyssa. At first, she said I needed to pay for the product. I refused when clearly it was her mistake. She went ahead and offered to fix it at no charge and provided a complimentary conditioning treatment for the inconvenience. I went in yesterday. Alyssa was courteous, and explained what she would be doing. She asked me if that was okay. All I could say was "I want this strand to look like this strand. I don't know how you would do it, you're the stylist, but this is what I want." I compared the strand to a strand on the opposite side of my head. I did not want to risk her telling me "You said for me to do this" like she did the last time I was there. (I am not the professional). She tried to fix some of the strands, but made a mistake so she had to re-do one of them. In the end, they did not look the same. She did add the complimentary deep conditioner which left my hair soft, and offered me a beverage at least 3 times both times I was there. She also offered to tone my entire hair and to style it, but I declined. I just wanted to be out of there. Although Alyssa was polite at times, there were times were she was a bit abrasive. I felt like she argued with me and made excuses every time she made a mistake. I heard it all. "Well this is the toner you asked for." "Well it's because the dark dye washed into the blonde." "I don't know why this happened, I didn't even add color to this section." "It's because your hair is so porous, I didn't even bleach this section" . She contradicted herself several times, and made me feel uncomfortable. I feel like I wasted $184.00. Overall, I am not happy with my hair and will not be returning to this salon. read more

I just went to Salon eLLe recently and had Cassidy cut my hair. (Beautiful salon by the way) Not only was I nervous, I wasn't sure how to explain to her the cut and style I was going for. I wanted something new but nothing too drastic, I was going short after having long hair most of my life. She instantly made me feel at ease and comfortable making sure I agreed with the length she recommended.
