Dee is amazing & the sweetest!! Such a beautiful soul inside and out ! Went in with a grown out balayage and wanted change. I went in dreaming of a copper / red toned balayage and she made my dream come true! My hair feels and looks so amazing, soft and looks so beautiful. Emily was AMAZING! Completely gave me my confidence back. I went in a wreck and came out glowing! I originally had virgin hair and went to Bogarts in Moorpark (warning: NEVER go there) to get a reverse balayage. The Bogarts lady gave me streaky highlights and told me my hair was too thin and weak for bangs. I went here and was welcomed with love and open arms. Not only did Emily give my "thin and weak hair" bangs, but she fixed my horrible highlights and gave me the reverse balayage I wanted. Never going anywhere else. This is my forever salon!

AJ was fantastic! I loved being able to schedule an appointment with her online and that she took me on a Monday. She was very knowledgeable and took her time but it wasn't drawn out. I was bleaching my hair icy blonde, and she did her absolute best and I love it! The cut is fantastic as well. Her pricing is on par. Definitely will be visiting her again :) Also, the other girls in the salon (didn't catch names) were very friendly and easy to chat with. Great overall experience. UPDATE: I went pink. I love it. AJ did a fabulous job and I'm obsessed.

If you are looking for a hair dresser Jenna is your girl! She is amazing with extensions but also does great color/cuts! Loved this salon! Just moved to the area and a few girls in my neighborhood's FB community recommended AJ (the fab hairstylist at Comb Studio) when I asked for a great stylist in the area. AJ is amazing indeed! She did my hair (color, highlights and trim - and styling) so beautifully. She listened to what I was hoping to achieve look-wise and did it so perfectly! A joy to talk to, very sweet and nice. And she threw in a deep conditioning treatment for free (her month of December special). The salon itself is very lovely, great vibe, free parking, nice location. Can't wait to return to AJ and I highly recommend this talented young lady and this salon!

Payton was absolutely amazing. She gave me a balayage for my first time ever and she not only did a phenomenal job but she also made me feel comfortable and cared for, and I loved picking the color combination with her :) Also, my before picture is horrendous but Payton has been sure to educate me on maintaining my hair and what affordable products I can use. If I could style my hair as well as Payton did I would probably get so many compliments (but I still get a ton from her job well done!). The atmosphere at COMB is impeccable and I can't wait to keep coming back!

I'm so crushed and disappointed. Originally I had the peekaboo "Narcissa Malfoy" hairstyle but I've seen a version of it where they had the bangs half bleached and I wanted to try it out. I hated the outcome, it was a horrible yellow tone. It was so embarrassing! I had like 4 different colors on my hair. The white, yellow, dark brown, and a reddish brown (from when i dyed my hair red 5 years ago) So for my second disappointing appointment I asked to just go back to the original and made sure it was possible to do, it was just a simple dye job. I asked for her to bleach the bottom part that was yellow from last time (picture included) & dye my bangs and the top part black. So as she was adding the black dye, she put the black dye on my left side that was meant to stay bleached. I told her immediately that we were supposed to keep that bleached and asked if she could wash it off. She refused to do so and kept telling me that I "should have told her"; I did tell her, i didn't think i was supposed to keep reminding her and keep her from getting distracted. I expressed to her that I really wanted my front sides bleached (the sideburns above the ears) and asked her why would i want the left side dyed black when the right side stayed bleached. Anyway after she washed everything she tried to convince me to keep my hair uneven and wrong... I decided to just dye the other side black to keep it even.. I was heartbroken because I knew that there was no way I could bleach the sides after being dyed black. I payed over $700 for both appointments and I was highly disappointed with her work. Mind you, both times I left with a bad job, dye on my face and semi wet and frizzy hair because she would charge even more to dry and style my hair.. I've been going to Emily for 6 years and it seems like her quality has gone down since. I used to love her work but lately she hasn't done that well and has raised her prices a lot; even doing a hack job on my bangs, like in the black and white picture I've included. When she messed up my bangs she was frazzled by her boyfriend who was in the salon and throwing a fit because something about him losing some crypto currency. This last time where she dyed my sides black, her boyfriend was asking her about moving some furniture and she was clearly upset. I think him being in the salon affects her work. I've also watched her rally up the other hair dressers to go against another one over something so petty.. it's such a shame to see the person she has become.

Will be updating this review with pictures when I get ready next but Emily is amazing!! I was looking for someone to do a quick cut and give me bangs, Emily delivered!!! She is absolutely amazing. I booked with her through the salon's website and was able to schedule a consultation which I showed up to a day early on accident but she still was able to see me the day I came. I only had 2 inspo pics which were basically short hair with curtain bangs and my only special request was to thin the eff out of my hair which she did! Everything was amazing, the wash, the dry, the cut, the style. Amazing!!!! Will definitely be back to get my bangs trimmed again and again. Thank you Emily!! And all of the other girls were super sweet too! read more

I'm so glad I found this place because I just love the vibe and aesthetics. I first called this place like a month ago to book a haircut and they referred me to Payton who immediately got in touch with me to book my appointment. She was very nice and flexible when it comes to scheduling. Not going to lie but I was nervous at first to come to my appointment but Payton was super friendly and was able to fire up a conversation with me and she did not make me feel awkward at all. I love that she would actually ask me like every step of the way if I like the way my hair looks so far! Which showed that she obvi cared (: I highly recommend this salon as well as Payton! I'm definitely coming back here! read more

Went to the hairstylist Natalie for the first time w/ my sister for a deep conditioning and trim. As someone who is scared to get haircuts with the fear that the stylist will cut too much Natalie was there to listen and trim EXACTLY what I asked for. Natalie was very sweet and professional and goes out of her was to make her clients feel very comfortable and special. The studio is very modern and welcoming. Nat uses the best high quality products on her clients. Highly recommend and will be going back. read more

I love AJ! She has been doing my hair for over 2 years. I first went with her when I decided to go blonde and she did a great job. I decided I wanted a pop of color, but was nervous about going too bold to soon. She helped ease me into it and helped me get the confidence I needed to do what I really wanted to try. Emily is the best! I swam in the ocean this week, had a few dreadlocks, and within a couple hours I was out of her chair with BEAUTIFUL hair. I have extensions that require extra care and I walked out all beachy and beautiful. Emily is THE BEST!!! Extremely reasonable with prices and she's so talented. Ah I love this salon so much! The inside is clean and styled so beautifully. It has such a friendly and inviting vibe to it. To be honest, I've never had so much fun getting my hair cut in my life! Cisco charged an arm and leg for a half ass job. He gave me a rough cut (my hair looks like it went through a blender for a chop) he did his friend hair at the same time as me and took 8+ hours on my hair. Never in my life has a color taken so long. read more

See Natalie for a color/cut and style! I'm in town for the holidays from NYC and was nervous about not seeing my usual person back home but Natalie was amazing! I got a coloring for myself and brought a friend for a cut, coloring and styling. She has been doing my extensions for about 6 months and I'm totally in love with them. People don't believe that it's not my own hair. Jenna is truly a artist in her field. I had moved to the area for school and I was super nervous about having to find someone new to do my hair, as my scalp and skin are very sensitive and I've had troubling experiences in the past. I'm so glad I found AJ! She's so easy to talk to and she really does her best to make you feel beautiful. She cares so much, is so fun, has such a sweet soul, and really listens to you. I don't know what it is about her hands but they work magic. She's incredibly talented with color (I only got a dye job and no haircut but I'm sure she's amazing there as well) and will turn your hair into a work of art. Everyone here contributes to such a warm, friendly atmosphere and it's super chill and easygoing. You can find a list of prices on their website and specifically describe/contact the stylist before you go in as well! Compared to other salons in the LA area and even NorCal, the quality of work they do is well worth the experience and price is super fair. I would definitely return! read more

I am extremely impressed at this salon! I moved to Camarillo from Seattle about a month ago and was in desperate need of a haircut. I called salons and requested appointments all over Camarillo and was not able to get anyone on the phone or schedule an appointment. Through my frustration I was able to find Comb. I picked a stylist and she answered immediately and was able to get me in in 2 days! Emily not only was amazing and made me feel right at home but so did the salon owner Rebecca. Emily gave my hair just what it needed some beautiful layers and some bold bangs. I couldn't be happier with my experience and my hair! AJ is the best in town, especially when it comes to hair color!! I started going to her back in 2016 when she was working at the Collection in Oxnard and have been going to her ever since! Went over to this place because it's semi close to Port Hueneme and not too expensive. I had AJ cut my hair for me and she was awesome! Very nice, professional, and a great stylist. Will definitely be back when the occasion comes. read more

Aj is amazing! I bought hair extensions on my own and it didn't match my hair color but she was able to installed them and blend them perfectly! I love my hair! When I got home I took pics of the color in various lighting. Instead of a gray streak, I had a light brown one. She offered to do a repeat however, I did not trust her judgement and gaslighting tendencies. Said I was willing to have a redo by the owner of the shop which she was non-responsive to. She offered a $90 refund less her "product fee". She never replied to my question regarding the price increase. Carol was delightful to converse with during the service rendered. She probably does a fine job with her normal clients. For me and this root job, she missed the mark. Her attempts to convince me it was the right color, just angers me. I communicated with the owner via text after leaving a few VM's. She apologized for the experience and had no comment regarding the increased price. I'm hitting the box and doing it myself if I'm ever in this situation again!

This is a very beautiful hair salon!! The interior of the salon is very nicely decorated, and it is very clean and airy. There is no smell of chemicals!! I enjoyed having my hair done there by a very gifted and very nice AJ. She is exceptional hair designer. She did amazing job coloring my hair. I wanted to experiment with a different color and she did amazing job introducing new color on my previous color without bleaching my hair. My hair looks so beautiful. I absolutely loved it and my husband loved it too!! She also has very nice and fun personality and it was pleasure talking with her. I will highly recommend AJ for all your hair needs...especially for hair coloring, and color change. She is very talented and quiet artistic. I have yet to ever leave a review for anything or any place. However, Comb Studio Salon & especially Emily, deserves MUCH recognition. The salon is very inviting. Compared to other places where the atmosphere is loud, cramped & can be uncomfortable. When I first walked in I immediately felt relaxed. The incredible stylist Emily has done my hair for a couple years now & I always leave extremely happy. She genuinely cares about her clients. I rarely write a review. But writing this review about Emily is such a pleasure. No matter the condition of your hair, no matter the service that you're looking for, Emily is your girl! Not only is it fun to sit in her chair and chat with her, but she is so professional and listens to exactly what you want (and sometimes it's difficult to articulate... but she figures it out). My hair has never looked better. Emily has put in different lengths of tape in extensions in my hair for the past few years and every time, the final result looks better and better. everyone look how freaking good my hair looks this is the best its ever looked and its so hard to find hairdressers that can actually cut curly hair well!!!! i got a women's cut & style by emily haydostian and she is the sweetest person ever and did my curls justice. emily fixed my curtain bangs and added more body and definition to my curls without making my curls crunchy/stiff. it feels so freaking soft right now. she gave me more layering and got rid of my split ends while trying to keep most of my length. Emily is the cutest person and such a fantastic hair stylist! I am so happy I went to her with my fried mouse blonde hair. She helped my color by warming it up with a melt that I absolutely love! I feel like it enhances my natural color and it gave my hair more body and life. She also was able to trim up the fried ends while still being able to keep the length and my hair feels soft and healthy now! She also gave me some matching eyebrows to go with my darker hair color and I am so pleased and delighted with the results! She was great on time doing a cut and color. AJ is so damn amazing and accommodating. My hair ended up being a two day process because my hair wasn't behaving well. She let me pay half to promise she'd finish the job right the next day. I left completely happy. She also fixed my bangs that I had jacked up myself. Absolutely amazing and warm. The salon is cute and chic you'd be afraid the people would be bougie.
