I walked in and the aesthetic of the salon was so cute and was greeted by my stylist, Lauren, who I soon found out was actually the owner - how lucky! She was so sweet, very communicative, gave advice on what she recommended for my hair and got straight to it. I did a really good deep treatment with steam which I've never done and is supposed to be really great to open up the hair follicles and I will say my hair was so silky smooth after! After the service I mentioned the color was too light and she insisted it wasn't. Even solicited a colleague's opinion (something I learned was common practice in salons with unhappy customers). She stated it looked lighter due to "the lighting " and sent me on my way up charging me an additional $30. Being uncomfortable and conflict avoidant, I paid and tipped 15%. When I got home I took pics of the color in various lighting. Instead of a gray streak, I had a light brown one. She offered to do a repeat however, I did not trust her judgement and gaslighting tendencies. Said I was willing to have a redo by the owner of the shop which she was non-responsive to. She offered a $90 refund less her "product fee". She never replied to my question regarding the price increase. Carol was delightful to converse with during the service rendered. She probably does a fine job with her normal clients. For me and this root job, she missed the mark. Her attempts to convince me it was the right color, just angers me. I communicated with the owner via text after leaving a few VM's. She apologized for the experience and had no comment regarding the increased price. I'm hitting the box and doing it myself if I'm ever in this situation again!

I booked with her through the salon's website and was able to schedule a consultation which I showed up to a day early on accident but she still was able to see me the day I came. I only had 2 inspo pics which were basically short hair with curtain bangs and my only special request was to thin the eff out of my hair which she did! My experience was a 10/10. I'll share more below :) What brought me to Taylor was the fact that my long term stylist had retired suddenly. Sadly I wasn't able to get my original color numbers from that stylist and had the stress of looking for a new hairdresser. Finding a hairstylist in Camarillo was initially rougher than I imagined - so many salons either didn't return my calls or were charging double what my old stylist did. I am so lucky I found Taylor through a mutual friend who is a client of hers and by chance this salon is also in my neighborhood. When I reached out to Taylor on social media she immediately responded. She was so sweet and helpful navigating my questions and made me feel confident that she could mirror the coloring and styling that my old hairdresser did. Taylor also could book me within two weeks AND was the MOST affordable compared to everyone else I spoke to at other salons. Walking into Le Tress Couture salon I felt right at home. The salon itself is darling, super fun - glamorous - yet professional. I was immediately offered water or a mimosa upon walking in. Taylor made me feel like I had known her forever and is beautiful inside and out, I felt so comfortable which is a big deal for me. Taylor is a Pro because I gave her one tiny photo to go off of for my old hair color and ombré effect and she nailed it! Like literally I still can't believe it. Do you know how hard it is to recreate a hair color off an old small photo? But Taylor did it - just shows you how good at the hair arts she is. Taylor really brought my hair back to life and all of my friends were impressed when they saw it. She nailed it and the salon was so cute inside. Loved the girly vibes of everyone just getting along and customers chatting, it's a place you don't mind sitting for an hour or two because it feels like a treat. Again, reasonably priced salon with A+ stylists like Taylor here. I'd highly recommend her and definitely have a new local stylist that I love. I'm already booked with her to be back soon. Next time I promise to take some pictures of the salon itself and update them here with my review. But trust me it's a cute place. Also pro tip they also do facials and have an esthetician here. The prices for facials here on their menu board looked super reasonable and I'm definitely going to come back for a facial in the future.
