So... I'm typically not the kind of person that would pick a random salon I found through a Google search (I'd ask a friend like a normal human being) - but I was desperate for a bang trim and needed something done with my roots. I found Salon Elevation's website, called and left a message. I was totally not expecting a call back - but the owner called shortly after and asked me tons of questions about my hair and what I was looking for. He then let me know he'd get me scheduled with Samm the next day and that he'd let her know everything we just talked about. I got a text reminding me of my appointment (awesome) and when I arrived for my appointment and met Samm, she took time to confirm what I had talked to the owner about: I felt like my hair was really brittle from overprocessing, I like my roots but want them to look less harsh and have some highlights around my face, and I don't like my blonde to be brassy! Samm suggested a demi permanent brown to soften up my roots, highlight around my face, a toner for the brassy and olaplex to smooth it all out. First she dry-cut my hair, then color and highlights, under the dryer for the blonde and then toner and olaplex. Then she shaped my cut, did a blowout and trimmed my bangs (perfectly btw, I hate to say it but I'm kinda picky about them)... and I absolutely loved the end result!!! Let me just start by saying I have NEVER left a hair salon 100% happy in my life, I always know what I want in my mind but it never turns out that way. I have thin, fine hair that can be hard to work with and I was starting to feel like my hair was just never going to look how I wanted after a cut and color. But I heard about Paul through a friend and absolutely needed to get my hair done so I made an appointment. Paul took so much time talking with me about what I truly wanted and Even told me the verbiage I was using (balayage) was not really going to give me the outcome I had in my mind. I trusted Paul with his color expertise and I can now finally say I left a salon 100% satisfied with the outcome that I EXACTLY pictured in my mind!!! Paul is a genius and made my hair look like the pictures off of Pinterest that I am jealous of!!! I wanted light brown dimension throughout my brown hair and he gave me exactly that without any blonde! (Which has been what other salons have sadly given me in the past). His wife T is just as fantastic and gave me a fantastic blow out, I will never go to another salon or let anyone else touch my hair!!! One word....AMAZING!!! I have been looking for the right salon since I moved to Columbus over a year ago. I've tried 2 different places and no one was ever able to do anything I really liked. I have finally found what I've been searching for at Salon Elevation and couldn't be more excited! I found it on Yelp, when searching for highest rated salons in my area and decided to give it a shot. I had an appointment today for a cut and color with Paul. Usually I dread hair appointments due to being stuck there for no less than 3 1/2 hours (long, thick, curly hair). I was in and out way before that and I'm so happy with the results. Paul and Thy both work together and make a great team. Paul gave me the most amazing layers that no one has ever been able to give me and then I got an awesome blowout from Thy! I got my hair done here 4 days ago. I wanted to post a review right when I left but I decided to wait a few days to live in my hair so my review would be more accurate. This was my first time going to this salon and my appointment was with Samm. She ROCKED my color! That's all I can say! I am more in love with it four days later then I was when I first saw it. So many compliments it's ridiculous! Not only did she do a excellent job on color, trim and style, but she was super efficient. The salon is very clean, Cali like, with the minimal clutter and neutral color palette throughout. But I never felt like I wasn't "not in" or wasn't trendy enough. Everyone I met was super accommodating. I felt the price was extremely fair for the service I received and I will definitely book another appointment and look forward to doing so! read more

When we moved, I bounced from salon to salon and finally, fortunately, discovered Salon Elevation. Paul and T at Salon Elevation were referred by a dear friend and - I'm absolutely thrilled - they are terrific. I've found amazing partners in hair in the Midwest - Columbus no doubt. Had an awesome experience at Salon Elevation!! I had recently found them on Google and called them on my way home from work, Paul answered and asked me a few questions about my hair and what I wanted to have done. He was then able to schedule me an appointment with Samm the NEXT DAY!! And with a very reasonable price quote may I add. When I showed up and met Samm she was FANTASTIC! She listened to what I wanted done and it turned out amazing. All the while she and the rest of the staff had great energy. I have been going to high-end salons in Columbus my entire adult life and was happy but never found "the one" that could do my color and cut exactly as I wanted. I was referred to Salon Elevation and told to see Paul because he is awesome. He really is the best stylist ever!! My hair has never looked better. The color is perfect, the cut is perfect and they do the best blow-outs in Columbus! Even when my hair starts to grow out is still looks great because of the specail way Paul cuts. So happy I chose this salon! Going against my instinct, I dyed my own hair last night. It did not take all over so it was very uneven, not so cute. I called the salon and they were able to fit me in this afternoon. It's a very nice clean salon. Paul and Thy are absolutely wonderful! They are so personable and welcoming. After a consultation we chose a color and it came out perfect. During the consultation Paul asked me if I ever thought of trying bangs. Samantha is by far the most amazing stylist I have ever had. She did my hair and make up for my son's wedding and the results were simply fantastic. I have very thin, fine, lifeless and damaged hair. Samm fashioned my hair into a fabulous half up half down style using extensions and no one could tell it was not my real hair. Friends and relatives all commented on her exquisite skills. I started visiting Salon Elevation to follow Rebecca who has been shaping my brows for the past few years. She is the BEST at what she does and I would follow her across the country if I had to. The salon itself is wonderful: clean decor, a friendly staff, and an attention to little details to make you feel comfortable and pampered. I recently went for a facial (using all-natural, organic products!) and it was BY FAR the best facial I have had in Columbus, and probably ever. After doing quite a bit of research on hair salons in the area, Salon Elevation consistently got the best reviews, so I decided to give it a try. Cecily cut and styled my hair, and she really did a wonderful job. She showed me what products to use as she went and taught me how to curl my hair using a wand. My hair is very fine, so normally curls or waves never stay in long, but these waves stayed all day and weren't weighed down with heavy or sticky product! I have LOTS of very thick and finicky hair, so I'm always weary of going to new hair stylists. I recently moved to the area from out of state and was looking for a new stylist, so I nervously made an appointment with Samm. Turns out, I had no reason to worry because she was amazingggg! I have been going to Paul for 10 years. I am 51 and before that I had never colored or highlighted my hair. Going to a stylist was a once a year event to trim the ends.Paul is amazing! I have been going to both Paul and Ty for over 10 years!! I travel often and have had my hair blown out all over the US in top salons and NOBODY blows out my hair as good as Ty!! Not only are they great at what they do, but are extremely accommodating! We are so lucky to have them in Columbus since they are from CA.
