Paul cut my hair and I must say that in all my years of having my hair cut I have never been made to feel so special. Paul even took photos of the back of my hair to show me before and after pics. This place is truly one of a kind and I have never met hair stylists soooo passionate and into their craft. I will definitely be going back...thank you Paul! I requested a haircut with layers and to touch up my curtain bangs with a double process and highlights. I received no highlights. I also didn't receive any layers in my hair and my bangs did not effortlessly the curtain. Bangs are supposed to. My hair is cut very blunt straight cut with an uneven color due to the lack proper application. I have pictures from before and after also. Please don't waist your time and end up with ruined hair like I did. read more

I would have given zero stars if I could have. I booked my appointment on January 24th so I'd be sure to have it set for my special occasion hair style. I drove 9 hours to make this appointment that I had confirmed and reconfirmed. With less than an hour of my appointment with Laken Hammers, she's moved my appointment from 9 am to 9:30 and her attitude was that it was my fault for not leaving wiggle room. Just a warning to all that may choose to book with her, you may or may not have a stylist at your appointment and be left with having to pay to move a date for a photo shoot. so I've personally known Lakyn for five years. Lakyn has been doing my hair for five years. When I first discovered Lakyn, she was still in beauty school. I fell in love with her personality and her passion for making women feel beautiful and cared for while in her chair. I came across a nasty review about Lakyn today and I want to refute it. Lakyn is a beautiful person inside and out. Lakyn takes her time and does a great job. I have moved farther away from her, and I have tried to sit in other chairs, but I always return to Lakyn. Her personality is down to earth and sweet. As a person who is very precise about my hair, I was happy to try out this place as it had/has great reviews. My first visit went well however, I felt like my time here was rushed even though I had an appointment. The first visit was just a consultation and then I had to ask to have my haircut. Paul said he would see if he could fit me in. I completely understand that they have many clients but a new one is just as important! Plus, it would be annoying to come back a day or two later in order to then have my hair cut. Second visit was better since I knew the process. Paul seemed to cut my hair differently then I've ever had done. Good. But different. My only other complaint is that he blended in my sides with my top which I was ok with but not what I asked to be done. Still looked good though with a great atmosphere. Hard to even give 1 star! VERY DISAPPOINTED, being pushed back and forth between Paul and Ty. He was running late during my appointment. I get it, it happens but another unhappy client comes in and he tends to her. He left me 4 different times,come back cut a little,leave again,cut a little more and leave. When I left my hair looked nothing like the picture and cut we agreed on. It is SUPER SHORT. Service from scheduling to actually getting cut was great. No complaints there. This place is incredibly pricey though and that's why the 4 stars. He told me after my cut that it's normally $30 for men but he was charging $25. Nice enough. Said if I come back he would keep the price the same also. I appreciate that. I've been going to Carol for almost a year now and she's by far the best hairstylist I've ever had. She's precise, patient, and so passionate about her work. She's always taken the time to really listen to what I want and she always delivers. She won't finish until she feels like her job has been completed with 110% of her best effort! I have to mention the recent experience I recently had with her...A couple weeks ago my Mom came into town and she hadn't cut her hair for 15 YEARS and I finally got her to meet with Carol. My mom was nervous but Carol eased her concerns and talked her through the entire process. Change can be hard and especially change after that many years, it can be shocking. Needless to say, my Mom was completely satisfied and overjoyed by the work Carol had done.
