I thought it was necessary to post my original review, back in 2014, on her new and improved business on Yelp. It is pasted at the end of this review. Hair boutique's space is quite gorgeous. It's airy and glamorous. It is never too loud or too crowded but always friendly stylists there to greet you. Justina is a pro. Not only is she genuinely a great person, always up on your life and great conversation, she's incredibly talented hair stylist. I followed her to this location by no mistake. It was very important to keep her as her work is unmatched. I've also had my hair cut by Joanna, who also works here. This was when I was crunched for time and Justina had no availability. I did not leave disappointed! The talent is endless at this salon. It's really a lovely experience and I refuse to go anywhere else. You don't get the catty nature of other salons, it's really so very pleasant. I've had, caramel, blonde, and even silver/titanium hair done beautifully by Justina. I've had hair cuts and highlights... (posted some pictures of all her work). If you're looking for a new salon, this is it. She's the best in the game. Older review at her old location from 2014: I found my new salon! I went in and they knew exactly what they were doing without knowing the entire history of my hair. The woman cutting my hair explained the way my cowlicks were and to what extent I should cut my bangs for quick easy ready styling. She listened to exactly what it was I was looking for and then applied her knowledge in a conversation to reach a conclusion that would best suit me PRIOR to starting the cut. They show you before each cut to make sure the length they are taking off is correct and they will not get "scissor happy". Anytime they are going to take more off than you anticipate, it will not be done with out communicating to you prior. I have been going to a top notch salon my entire life and moved 45 minutes away from it. I needed a good cut and quick. I read the other reviews and figured I would give this place a go... Sorry $100 hair cuts... you've been officially replaced! I have been recommending this place to everyone that has complimented my beautiful layers and just in regular conversation. TRY THIS SALON! I am just passing though NJ, but after some Google search I found this salon. It was close to me and the cost seemed reasonable on their website (135+ for bayalage). Which is totally normal for my hair, it's usually 250 after tip. My salon experience cost me 414 after tip, which is mind blowing-I was so flawed over the price my hair color didn't hit until the next morning. I shouldn't have offered to pay before the service was over, I was just being kind so the owner didn't have to come back and close up after us. I never got a recept or a breakdown of what I was charged for. I have a feeling I was charged for additional services I didn't ask for, nor should have been warranted for a bayalage. I had Yngrid as my stylist and I LOVE how she cut and thinned my hair, but she missed the mark on the color after showing her pictures and telling her how I wanted it. Ultimately my hair was just highlighted an ugly gray color, it was "glazed," which I've never had done, and a root treatment...the point of a bayalage is that it doesn't start at the root, which I had stated in the chair...I wanted it to start a few inches from my root. Therefore a root treatment should have never been needed to "blend" the color. While I was also getting my hair done a client came in because she was not happy of the color of her hair. If I had time I would have gone back to have them tone it but I'm on the go and work late. I took time out of work to have my hair done (it was very over due). Overall this salon over charges for services, and it seems like the artists just do their own thing. If you can't simulate the style in the photos don't do the hair!
