This is the most amazing place I've been to in a long time with an artist owner. I called, desperately seeking a same day appointment (reasons abound) and Yuri said she would fit me in later. I'd have to wait a bit, but the fact a stylist, who posts pictures of pixie cuts and does artistic magic with hair and color, would fit me in meant I'd wait for hours, if needed. You walk in and it's filled with flowers and the most amazing interior design features. She designed it herself. Gorgeous. Already I can see the flair and creativity. Yuri was finishing up with a lady with longer hair and I could see the cut and motion of the hair looked fabulous. She was kind, direct, and attentive too. I've got super short hair and it has been a nightmare finding someone to cut it. Why? It's very very fine and I've never had dense hair. It's also stick straight. You screw up and it's obvious. Yuri wasn't phased by this, looked at pics and went right to cutting with expert scissor use, clippers, and thinning shears. She sprayed my dry hair- what really should always be done with super short hair- and her hands started flying. She moved the hair on my head to see how it reacted and cut expertly. She listened to requests and did it perfectly while also adding her own flair and style. Before cutting bangs and using razors, she sent me for a wash. Her assistant gives the most amazing wash, condition, and massage I've had anywhere. She's magic. And kind. Back to the chair to finish it all off. Unbelievable and fantastic. This was my first appointment with Yuri. The salon is beautiful and very clean. Yuri's assistant gave me an excellent, enjoyable shampoo and conditioner treatment, complete with a neck and shoulder massage. Yuri is an excellent stylist. I have short hair and not every stylist is able to or takes the time to shape the hair in the back so professionally and texturize the hair and feather the bang area so that hair is not just cut straight across. Yuri also took the time to explain the best way to style my hair considering my cowlicks and the whorls in my hair. (Not sure I am using the correct terms here.) Atmosphere pleasant. No loud head pounding music. No irritating echo of loud conversations. Just excellent pampering by a stylist who knows her stuff. Best shampoo chair I've ever been in, too. My hair was below my waist and I decided to donate it to a children's hair charity. Yuri, the owner of the salon cut my hair and styled it beautifully! She even colored my roots a beautiful ash blonde. I was impressed with her suggestions and skill. She also cut my daughter's very short hair and she loved it. Yuri makes me happy. Very very happy. I am so glad that I found her!! Since we move a ton, my biggest issue is finding a hair stylist each time we relocate. It's so hard to find someone that listens to you and interprets your wants accurately. Yuri does just that, and she does it with a smile. Throughout my hair cut, she will ask me to feel areas to make sure they feel right and listens to my feedback. She really is fabulous. I've seen her 3 times now and each cut gets better and better- she's figuring out my short hair and what works for me. My favorite part (besides her cuts) is that I can make my appointments online. There is a link inside of yelp and also a webpage that you can use to schedule appointments without having to call and speak to anyone. I get haircuts every 4 weeks, so about a week out, I go online and schedule my appointment and I'm good to go. Super easy! read more

Yuri is great! Her salon is so new and inviting. Location is perfect for anyone near Gainesville and Haymarket, but is just a mile from 66 as well. Love Yuri's ability to know exactly what I want for color and cut and transform my ideas into reality! She does hair of all ages and types. AWESOME. Kind of in an unassuming shopping center so its really a nice surprise whe you walk in and its a beautiful, stylish, updated and very very clean interior. The shampoo chairs are the most comfortable I've ever sat in and honestly the best shampoo I've had anywhere period. Yuri took her time talking to me about my hair, style, texture, length, hair care routine, everything. My hair is wavy and I was noticing that it was just frizzy all the time no matter what. She showed me damage done from thinning scissors by stylists of the past and it was clear that what she showed me was 100% true. She was so pleasant to talk to and it felt like I'd know her a long time even though it was my first time. She showed me products but DID NOT push me to buy them at all, no pressure. She took the time to dry and style my hair very cute, even though she only charged me for a haircut. A very reasonably priced haircut at that for the length of my hair. 2 days later it still looks great im still getting compliments even though I've slept and sweated on it. I am going back tomorrow to buy a product she showed me, and this will be my salon going forward. It is very clear that the salon is her labor of love and she really enjoys what she does.
