I got a magnificent hair coloring and cut this morning, it's probably the best cut I have had in 40 years, and the color is nice, subtle, appropriate. The cut was done by Vivian, who is the owner. The hair style is both elegant and youthful. The service was delightful, I walked in and they took me in about five minutes, offered coffee and treats, and the shampoo/conditioning was also a great massage, done by Mariam. I could not be happier and plan to continue visiting this salon as long as I am able to walk. read more

I went in to get my eyebrows waxed without making an appointment. I was told that the wait time was 5mins. I ended up waiting for 45 minutes. After that, the lady who came to wax my brows told me she wanted to pluck it with tweezers instead. When I said no to that, she swapped with another person to wax my brows. She ended up using the tweezers quite often and when she plucked my skin, I moaned in pain and her response to me was "oh honey, you still need to get married and have babies. This pain is nothing compared to that" I am never going back. read more

I can honestly say, I found my "place"!! I'm psyched with my new look and color! Talking with the owner, who did my hair and that to me is an honor to have it done by an important being as that! Her name is, Vivian, and I LOVE HER!!! She took me from a brassy, REALLY awful dye job!! I was paying ridiculous amounts to keep my stylist who left his place of work and ONLY does your hair in your kitchen, is supposedly a great friend, but wants a tip after the $100 hair cut and "highlights"!! So far, I have only come here for a mani/pedi. I have always had good results with my manicures lasting several days and my pedicures lasting a few weeks. The only thing to be aware of: I believe only one person is on staff doing nails, and there are only two pedicure chairs. If you're in a hurry, you might want to call ahead. The atmosphere is nice and friendly; it feels very eclectic, and they always have interesting world music playing. As I'm flipping through their stack of fashion magazines, I occasionally look up and see someone getting a terrific haircut or color. The stylists all seem to have real talent. I got my nails done here with some of my friends and it was not a wonderful experience. The manicures were mediocre and there was not a lot of effort put into them. It was quite unclear what was going on as we waited, and no one really seemed to be in charge/organizing anything, even though there weren't very busy. We waited for a while and they began to take us one by one, but we were all very confused on what was going on. I won't be surprised if my manicure comes off within the next few days. I stopped by needing an eye brow wax on a Sunday morning. They got me right in which was wonderful. The interior is very nicely decorated and very clean. While it's nice inside the dress code is casual and I didn't feel out of place in weekend clothes. The young woman who did my eye brows did a fantastic job! This place is very unsanitary. The brush they use is really bad. Nail technician barely knows what she is doing. She was rushing the whole time. Please do not go to this place for service. Please do not bother thinking about acrylic nails. I didn't check yelp reviews before going here because I had to get my nails done today. I had to take the whole thing off because the nail was uneven. The chemicals are not properly kept. As soon as you walk inside you smell all the chemicals. The nail polish is all dry to begin with. My nails took forever to dry. The owner did try to make it right but I wanted gel nails and they didn't want to paint it even though I paid for my service. read more

If you have curly or frizzy hair, Salon De Paris is definitely the place for you! I have curly hair and they do the best cut. They can straighten my hair without the use of a flat iron (which just damages hair) and I come out looking great for days! Their entire hair care is superior: they do 2 shampoos, have great conditioner, the best color / high lights around, and they are very friendly. On the recommendation of a friend, I went to Salon De Paris and now have a hairstyle that I love. The owner gave me a great cut that suits my face and my thick hair - something I've been looking for for a long time. After a great blow-dry, I left with smooth and silky hair - a texture that I didn't think was possible with my hair! Looking around at other customers before and after their cuts by other stylists, I could see that they are also very skilled. I noticed one of the stylists giving a head massage to her customer and I'm looking forward to getting one myself next time. I always stop by Salon De Paris when I am visiting my family in Belmont for Blow-outs (they do great blow-outs there) and this time was no exception. I decided to get a glaze to cover some sprouting grays and I ended up with a beautiful color and gorgeous highlights. Vivian has her own hair color line and uses natural soy based color for your hair. It doesn't smell, sting or stain (she doesn't even wear gloves when applying to color to your hair). I was skeptical at first thinking Soy without any chemicals...well the color was beautiful. Then she added some light golden highlights (I have dark brown hair) which she blended in so well that it looks so natural. I have had non stop compliments about my hair and nobody can figure out what is different! I highly recommend Vivian and her staff for color, blow outs and I had a great haircut there as well. Oh one last comment...Vivian will fit you in no matter what...she is very gracious with her time and doesn't rush you in and out. read more

I've been getting my hair cut and colored here for years. First color - Maral is a master! Always looks natural, they always leave your hair better than when you come in (shiny, soft, beautiful - enough said). The cut - always fresh! Each time I get a cut it is always a bit different and better every time. Leave it to Vivienne - she is an incredible artist. Please keep them in business during Covid! You get what you pay for! The store front window advertises 20$ mani/pedi. I figured why not try it. Well, huge mistake. I wish I could have taken a photo of my manicure to help explain how bad it really was. My nails were not prepped at all. When I left there I had nail polish all over the surrounding skin of my nail beds and there were ridges on my nail because they were not prepped from my previous manicure. I left there and had to remove the polish they put on, file and smooth down the nails, then reapply polish. I had to go straight to the store and had to purchase supplies to fix this crap job. For the 16 bucks I spent at the store to make my 20 $ mani/pedi acceptable I could have gone to a place who would have done the job right the first time. One that wouldn't require me to remove the polish m, file and smooth down the bail surface, then reapply polish. ( what a joke) Bottom line: I'll never go to this place again, nor would I ever recommend anyone else to. read more

I wish I could give this salon zero stars. By far the worst service from a salon I could even imagine.... I went with my 16 year old "baby" sister to have her make-up done for her Junior year prom. She was nervous about the timing as anybody who has been to Belmont prom can understand so we made an appointment with plenty of time to spare. When we got to the salon nobody greeted us at the front desk. It appeared like the attendant was busy helping with hair appointments. I figured that they were just busy because of prom so I told my sister not to worry, that they would be with us soon. After about 15 minutes went by her nerves got the best of her and she went up to one of the stylists asking about her appointment. They sat her down in a chair next to the hair drying stations. It wasn't even a normal appointment station, no mirror, no comfy chair, nothing. The stylist said "so we will do a smoky eye?", to which my sister replied "ummm no I want something more subtle". The stylist responded "ok we will do a subtle smokey eye". There was no discussion, my sister had no say in the matter. Then they whip out the airbrush gun and just start airbrusing her face with some arbitrary color that was in the airbrush gun already. Then they take a break from my sister to airbrush some other girl who I was talking to the stylist in another language. After they finish subpar airbrushing her face (she complained about the dust getting on her lips), they dipped a sponge in blush and brushed it on her face. Literally two swipes, one on each cheek. Then they take out eyeshadow (to which my sister had no say on which color) and brushed it on each eye, getting it on her cheek bones underneath her eye as well. Lastly, they took a q-tip to put lipgloss on her lips and brushed clumped mascara on her eyelashes. When they showed my sister her reflection in the mirror my sister had the guts to say "my eyelashes are a little clumpy" (they were a hot mess, not just clumpy). So the stylist took out another mascara brush and went over her eyelashes again until they looked slightly decent. Anyways, $35 later my sister looked like a clown and we ended up redoing her make-up completely. By the way.... I'm pretty sure the front desk attended did half of her 10 minute long make-up appointment. STAY FAR AWAY. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY. read more

Try to speak with some one about that and was treated very poorly by a lady there... I just think they are rude.. I went here for a straightening treatment. They boasted that it was healthier than Japanese chemical straightening in addition to being significantly cheaper. Some new stylist was assigned to me and they had to walk him through the steps in front of me (unprofessional). During the application, I complained that my scalp was burning! When they washed it out, I found that some of the skin on my ear had definitely reacted with whatever their cheap formula was. Also after my first wash (I waited the obligatory 2-3 days of no wash after treatment), my hair went right back to curly and frizzy. This was the worse salon ever. They really don't care about your hair. The salon owner will cut your hair in five minutes like a five year old while talking on the phone. Her helper will attempt to blow dry your hair straight, but never finishes the look. It comes out big and puffy! And then they will charge you an arm and a leg!
