I am going to preface this review with admitting I have actually tried out at least 5 other stylists in the 5 years I've lived here. Some were of no ones fault, I just didn't feel it. Others had me visiting Daidree for corrective cuts. I have never been disappointed with the cut or color I've received from Daidree. She is so talented at pixie cuts. I can not stress enough how gifted she is at her craft. I've gotten three different pixie styles and at least two different color applications from her, all I have been thrilled with and received many compliments about. I get asked at least 3 times a week who does my hair. It's ALL Daidree and I absolutely love what she does with my hair. The shop is quirky as is the owner, she has a beautiful laugh that fills the shop with a small town vibe. Thanks for always making my hair look amazing!! Wow. I can't begin to explain the horrific highlights and cut I received. I first called and had an extensive phone consultation as to what I was looking for. I then reiterated in the salon. Daidree then did nothing close to what I asked for. She didn't even weave my foils! She basically did alternating striped of blonde and espresso. I look akin to a white trash zebra. The cut... Razor blade cut bangs that are too short and not even blended into the sides. I'd opt for a ponytail until I can get this mess fixed, but that only enhances the stripes. Awful, the worst experience ever. Not sure why I even tipped her. Guess I wanted to cut my losses and make my escape! I believe all previous reviews were from family and friends. read more

I have only ever had two people touch my hair my whole life. When I came to Salon Daidree both her and Maggie are so sweet. I love going to Maggie, she always makes my hair so beautiful! I don't even have to tell her what I want and she practically knows what will work with me. I usually just say this is what I want what do you think and she works her Maggie magic. Found this place due to the multitude of positive Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. I was pleased to be able to make a same day appointment. My stylist, Maggie, was pleasant, professional, and offered feedback without being domineering. I really wanted a change, and she did a great job listening to what I wanted and explaining what she was doing each step of the way in addition to offering styling tips. The reason I'm giving it two stars is because I absolutely loved the girl who did my lashes. She's very personable and her customer service is awesome. If you need your lashes done Sara is your girl. The problem I had was the salon was in someone's home. It smelled terrible and as I was being walked to the lash room we passed a child's room with bunk beds and such. I won't return unfortunately because of the over powering smell of something that smells like cat pee. They have entirely way to much crammed into such a tiny place. I am taking my business elsewhere because I didn't feel this was the salon atmosphere I'm looking for. read more

This is the worst salon I've ever been to! Called the owner and sked her about my hair she assured me she could accomplish a bolyage so o made the appointment! I say in her salon for 6 hours! And I left with orange spots on my head my hair was orange! I was dip upset told her I was upset and she didn't even care! My hair was so fried when I left! And to top it off after she so called bleached my hair... SHE DIDN'T TRIM IT! She stated I didn't want her to... umm who gets their hair bleached without a trim?! Made an appointment with Daidree who was very accommodating considering her popularity. Normally it takes me more than 3-4 hours for a cut, color, balayage, and style. Daidree had me in and out under three hours and her work was amazing. She knew exactly what I wanted and asked questions as to what I had previously done to my hair. She explained what she would have to do to achieve the exact results I wanted and since my hair naturally had red undertones , she expressed the fact that my desired results can be achieved after using specific after care products and closer follow ups. I was amazed at how little to no copper existed afterwards. I am following her suggestions with shampoo and conditioner that she recommended and I am still achieving gorgeous results! I can only imagine how it will look after my follow up sessions. In addition to her great work, her hospitality, knowledge, and professionalism was outstanding. She really made me feel welcomed. Kim has been my stylist for many years. She is a wizard with color and texture cuts. Having red hair, she listened to my wishes and helped me find a wonderful blend that picks up my natural color, adds dimension, and does not come out too brassy or leans to the "purple" side. I just got home from here and am a very happy customer! I called out of the blue this morning and she got me in an hour after I called. It's a nice, clean, quiet salon and I am thankul she is easy and fun to talk to. I had some major hair coloring issues to fix and she was confident about being able to match the photo I showed her and also was completely honest that I may need to come back to achieve that look. Also during the full highlighting process she asked about what products I used on my hair. I told her and she educated me on the difference between that and what she sells and after having it on my hair I'm a believer. I will definitely be going back. Owner pays clients to submit positive yelp reviews. Horrible experience. Owner was rude and unprofessional. There was no parking due to some junk car lot on the premises (which is the owners home). Owner's first grader was bouncing around the very tiny salon and say right down on my tablet at one point. Only reason i give 2 stars is because the stylist, Maggie actually did a great job. If it weren't for her horrible boss (and ridiculous prices) I'd be a regular. Btw, if i wanted to pay $80 for mine and my daughter's haircuts, i would go somewhere much cleaner where they treat you like a valued client. Not someone's living room where you aren't even offered water as you sit on an old broken loveseat with a dirty sheet thrown on it waiting for one of the 2 stylist chairs to open up. read more

I found this salon on yelp. It was the first salon that popped up when I did a search on yelp, the salon got all 5 starts so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try this place out. I called and made an appointment for two days later. The salons is a cute small place in a residential area, it was easy to find because it was on the corner. We got started on my hair appointment on time. I like that I hate when I have an appointment and I have to wait 15-30 mins later. Daidree is very friendly and knowledgable. I will definitely come back and get my hair done here again. I enjoyed that we talked through out the whole appointment sometimes when it is silent everything is just awkward. Her prices aren't too expensive too. So if you are looking for a salon in the Smokey Point area check her out! You wont be disappointed!! read more

Just got my hair cut here and it was a great experience! Originally I was a little scared to come in as I didn't realize that this place was inside of a house. Being from Seattle I've gotten most of my cuts within a strip mall or commercial setting. However, once I sat down they asked me what I wanted and just made me feel right at home. Just moved into the area a bit ago, this is my first trip to a salon in a while, so this was a bit nerve wracking! Right when I arrived, Salon Daidree was a very comfortable and welcoming environment. Got my hair done by Maggie, and she was great! She worked really closely with me to give me the cut I wanted, and I absolutely loved how it turned out! I found Daidree on Yelp after moving to Tulalip from Surrey, BC. I had been with Emily, my hairdresser, for 20 years and didn't think I could find one to even come close to being as good. I was wrong. Daidree suggested a change to my hair color to help hide the grey (blond streaks) and changed the style. The change was perfect and long overdue. Desperately needed a haircut and came across this salon on Yelp, with such amazing reviews I decided to give it a try. Daidree gave me one of the best haircuts I've had, she gave me great insight on what would look good with my face shape and what would work with my thick curly hair. After cutting it she styled it taking time to explain how I could repeat the look after I got home. Will definitely be returning soon, might even try some highlights or a keratin treatment. The reviews are true! I am new to the area, and it is always a pain to find a new person to cut your hair. And that's one of the reasons I waited WAY too long to get a trim. But I gave Daidree's a try yesterday after reading the reviews here and was NOT DISAPPOINTED! She put layers in my hair and revitalized a drab hairdo while still leaving it long like the hubby likes. And she did a good job of listening to what I wanted and needed before taking out the scissors which is always much appreciated. I got a great cut and great service from a great lady for a great price! I will be back for sure when it's time for a trim or maybe even a new style! read more

This was Diadree's third time doing my hair I was very specific I only wanted my roots touched up late and I told her I did not want to drag any further than a half inch past my rights. As I was watching her do it I noticed that she was dragging you down a good 3 to 5 inches then when she went to style my hair she loaded the products and I spray and toner a couple detanglers I should realize something was up with all of the products she was putting in my hair. I stopped having her cut my hair because I did not like the overuse of thinning shears so I went back to my old hairstylist for the haircut she immediately saw that line of demarcation 4 inches past my roots in yet when I left a detailed complaint on Diadree's phone she said she did not do what I watched her do I'm done with her for the price it was sloppy and did not listen to my needs at all. I never said I was a hairdresser 25 yrs ago you twit, I was a hairdresser for over 25 years with a huge following. read more
