***this is in response to my previous review that was commented on*** I do want to respectfully clarify one factual point: I did not bring photos of Sabrina Carpenter. I brought AI-generated images using my own face with different bang styles to communicate the look I was hoping to achieve, rather than using an unrealistic celebrity reference. I will attach those images below for clarification. My concern was never about not speaking up or not knowing how to style bangs. In previous salon experiences, stylists have consulted on placement, sectioning, and started with more length before refining. That process did not happen during my appointment, leaving little opportunity to adjust before the bangs were cut much shorter than expected. My disappointment was not because I was struggling to style the bangs, it was because the cut itself was significantly shorter and much choppier than the reference image I provided of myself. Please cancel my future appointment I'm very sorry for the 1 star, but I hope Salon CG can read this review and handle situations like this differently in the future. I recently moved here from out of state, and this was my first visit to Salon CG. I went in for a trim, highlights, and wispy bangs. I absolutely love the highlights!!! They turned out beautifully, and I want to give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, my haircut was a completely different experience. Before my appointment, I had spent a long time deciding whether I wanted bangs. This wasn't an impulsive decision. In previous salons, stylists have always taken the time to map out the placement, discuss how they'd fall around my face, and start conservatively so adjustments could be made. That didn't happen here. The bangs were cut much shorter than I expected right from the beginning, with no opportunity to gradually work toward the desired length. They ended up very choppy, especially through the middle, with little face-framing or blending into the rest of my haircut. I tried not to judge them immediately because I know a new hairstyle can take some getting used to. I gave myself a full week before reaching out. When I called the salon, I was very complimentary about my color and simply explained that I was still struggling with the bangs. The staff was kind on the phone and got me in the next day, which I genuinely appreciated.Unfortunately, the follow-up appointment was the most disappointing and hurtful part of my experience. Rather than feeling like my concerns were being heard, I felt as though the focus immediately shifted to everything I was supposedly doing wrong, how I was styling them, comments about a "cowlick," and explanations about my hair rather than acknowledging the haircut itself. If my hair naturally grows a certain way, I would have expected that to be considered during the initial consultation and cut. I completely understand that bangs often need some training and styling. I also understand that mistakes happen, we're all human. What upset me wasn't that the haircut wasn't perfect; it was that I never felt there was any acknowledgment that the cut itself may have contributed to the problem. Instead, I was told to let them grow out, use hairspray or bonding products to hide them, continue wearing the headbands I'd been using, and was reassured that I was "still beautiful." While I know those comments were likely meant kindly, they weren't what I needed to hear while sitting in the chair feeling embarrassed about my haircut. Hearing repeated comments like, "If you hate the way you look in bangs..." was also discouraging, because I don't dislike myself in bangs. I disliked how these particular bangs had been cut.After leaving, I made an appointment at another salon to see if anything could be done. They were able to see me later that day, even though it was short notice. They were incredibly professional, never directly criticized Salon CG or the stylist, and immediately recognized the choppiness. They were able to blend the bangs so they looked much more natural while they continue to grow out. They also noticed and corrected some uneven areas in the rest of my haircut that I hadn't even realized were there.By the end of my follow-up appointment at Salon CG, I was in tears. I don't say that to be dramatic, but because getting a haircut is a vulnerable experience, and I left feeling dismissed rather than supported. I truly don't believe anyone intends to give a client a haircut they're unhappy with, and I appreciate that the salon fit me in so quickly for a follow-up. However, I wish the response had centered more on listening, taking accountability where appropriate, and working together toward a solution instead of placing the blame entirely on me.I genuinely hope this feedback is taken constructively, because I think owning mistakes and helping clients feel heard goes a long way. Had my concerns been handled differently, I would have been much more comfortable returning to Salon CG in the future. read more

Pros: *clean, modern aesthetic *friendly staff *I am offered a beverage every time *ease of booking *so far, my stylist has always been on time for my appointment *my stylist cut my hair *exactly* how I communicated to her that I want it, no misinterpretations, no opinions, no mistakes, it's perfect. *my stylist always explains what she is doing and provides recommendations for hair care products and/or tools that could help me at home *rewards club available *pricing is reasonable and comparable to other salons *salon hours!! They are open until 9pm on weekdays which helps SO much for scheduling. Cons: *Because it's a commission based salon, they do try to sell the available hair products after every appointment, which I understand. Though, I appreciate that they are not pushy about it. Just a side note: I was *extremely* loyal to my previous salon and stylist but after moving an hour away and schedules not aligning, I looked for a local alternative. I did my homework to find the salon vibe I was looking for and a stylist with the skill and personality that I thought would be as close as possible to what I was already used to. I cannot recommend Gracie enough! She is an absolute genius. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is also one of the sweetest and most caring people I've ever met. She took the time to look through all of my inspiration photos, talked everything through with me, gave thoughtful recommendations, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. My hair turned out even better than I could have ever imagined. This was the first time anyone has touched my hair since my sister passed away. She was my one and only hairstylist, so this appointment was incredibly emotional for me. Gracie made the experience so special, and I will always be grateful to her for that. I'm absolutely apalled and just walked out of my appointment. Scheduled a balayage with Ferris (who was recommended by the receptionist) and during the consultation, Ferris negatively tore apart my hair; stating breakage, fullness in the back, wearing a pony tail, washing my hair too much (2 showers a day) dryness, asked what product I use, everything that I'm doing wrong. When it came time to discuss what we are doing today, she rudely said she needs to cancel out the brass, smudge the roots, highlight, lowlight, balayage, cut, not lighten my frame because of the breakage and was out of breathe talking about all of the things that need to be done and finished with well, this is going to be a project. What's your budget? And I said, you're making me feel ugly. And she said you look uncomfortable, do you want to go? Proceeded to walk in the back room and I approached the receptionist, saying I'm uncomfortable and don't want to move forward. The receptionist walked in the back as I left. Minutes later, I received a phone call from the owner, Christina Niell stating that she stands by Ferris and teaches all stylists to have a thorough consultation and discuss financials. That Ferris has worked for her for 10 years and asked me what part I was uncomfortable with. I proceeded to say that Ferris was rude and Christina talked over me discussing all of the things with hair color, like I do not know. ***Please read my previous review on the bottom from the beginning **** But of course I didn't wanna leave without paying even though I was totally unhappy nor did I want her to think that I was ditching out. So I jumped in my car and found a ATM went back to the hair salon gave her the money.. At this point my hair didn't Look " totally bad "but It was not 100% what I wanted not even close ;) it was not icy more of a yellow , brassy tone ....I also heard her say " oh when they ask for a "root-smudge" ... which I did ask for ...you don't have to worry about that highlights being so neat, she told the girl she was training... but I figured if I needed to come back "like Jen "said in two weeks to get the toner I would.. But I figured Jen worked on my hair from 11:20 to 6:30 I wanted to give her a very decent tip;( she told me not to wash my hair for a good four days ... I set my next appointment for her the next following month... I want to repeat I was not totally happy with my hair I was actually very disappointed but if she was trying and was willing to put a toner in my hair in two weeks . I was willing to go back to her ,she already did my hair she really knew the drill , I was willing to give her another chance. My fault 110% for giving her the benefit of the doubt!!! Day six I washed my hair.. Holy crap what the biggest mistake after washing my hair with all the products Jen suggested and had me buy.. my hair was yellow , brassy I called up Jen to tell her, hey I'm really gonna need to come in a week or so to get that toner .. She was with a client and somebody said that she would give me a call back . well about three hours later Jen calls back " rude as hell" I said I would like to come in for the toner ..she SAYS JORDYN This is the process I don't understand why you think a toner is going to help you ? you just have to come back in and I just had to redo it again when you come in for your next appointment At this point it was like she said whatever to get me out of the salon and for me to come back in for my next appointment. My new hair stylist , did a full foil , my hair I had zero breakage, I came out with the most beautiful blonde icy highlights I have ever seen in my life !!!! This place is super over priced and they be trying weird techniques on your hair that led to me getting possibly one of the worst uneven and ugliest haircuts I have ever gotten. I spent years going to one stylist back home in California. After moving to Florida, I spent a few years bouncing around locations to find the person I REALLY trusted with my hair. I have insanely thick and wavy hair and could never find someone that matched what I required until I stumbled upon this location. Everyone is so kind and fun, as is the atmosphere. Who I always go to is Mei. She is a fantastic conversationalist and always remembers stories I told her on a previous visit. Whenever she does my hair, I'm always getting compliments because of how healthy and voluminous it looks immediately after a cut. She's my girl! read more

What a lovely place! From the moment I walked in I was impressed by how cute the salon is and everyone was so polite. Wish I could give zero stars. I just gave them a few tips on how they can improve their customer service. I showed up on time for my appointment, wearing a mask and all. Filled out the required form and took a seat outside. Was told she was running about 10-15 late. No big deal. Called after waiting 30 mins to be told that I still had to wait another 20 minutes. Why make an appointment if they are going to make you wait almost an hour! And if I didn't call were they even going to reach out and let me know? The receptionist was nice but it's not the point. I have been going to Jen for about 3 years now. She is by far the best hair stylist/colorist I have ever been to. She always gives me exactly what I want. She helped me go from black box dyed hair to platinum blonde hair. Even after that drastic change my hair remains healthy and long. I appreciate her directness. She has always overdelivered on results. She is meticulous and a true perfectionist. She is everything you could ever want in a hairdresser. When I read some of the negative reviews people have posted I'm shocked and think that these people are obviously mistaken or just unrealistic. Great hair takes time and money. I recently moved to Championsgate area and was looking for a good hair salon. I found this salon online and went for a hair cut. Jennifer gave me the best hair cut I have ever gotten, hands down!! She paid attention to what I wanted and spend a lot of time and effort on trimming my ends exactly how I wanted. She is a very gifted hair dresser and a great lady! I would highly recommend this place! The salon staff over all was welcoming and very sweet. Professional atmosphere and great skills in this place ! Next time you need a trim or a haircut! I went to this salon for advice on hair color and a cut. The cut was good, even though it wasn't exactly what I wanted. The color was the worst. I complained that I was going grey and wanted highlights to cover them so that I wouldn't have to get it done so often. I am retired, and I can't afford to have it done frequently. The stylist advised me not to go with highlights, but wit a NN color darker than my base. I agreed, against my better judgment, because the stylist is supposed to be the expert. Bad move. I could tell, as soon as she was done that this was a mistake. People said, in my post service photo, that I looked sad. Sad I was. It grew out almost immediately and I had grey roots the next week. It was very opaque and lacked any kind of natural look. I have since gone to another stylist at a different salon who agreed with my assessment. I had to pay $150 to redo the color. read more

Jen is awful. She didn't listen to a thing that I said. She insisted that my prior stylist was clueless. She turned my beautiful sunlit blonde into a grey, ashy mess. Then she very aggressively pushed very expensive hair products on me. I didn't fall for her pitch, and I will never let her touch my hair again. The overall customer experience at Salon CG was excellent, but the quality of work for the price didn't match up. Very clean salon with accommodating and welcoming staff. They appeared to be quite busy on a Tuesday afternoon with regular clients but my friend and I were able to get a wash and style as walk-ins. While I enjoyed our stylist, my straight blowout with some volume ended up feeling really sticky just a few hours later, and I had to wash it the same night. My friend's hair (which she admitted was difficult to hold a curl and volume) fell flat in a few hours as well. read more

I was beginning my vacation but had a bad toner applied to my hair @ my salon in Alabama. Basically my hair had a green cast. I did not feel like wearing a hat my entire vacation and my husband even said "Did you do something to your hair?" We were staying at the Omni Resort at Champions Gate so I started reading up on salons in this area. Here is where I found this salon. We got our rental car and headed over from the airport. I went to Salon CG to get a color correction done , my hair was a horrible orange and I was having a total melt down and my mother recommended to go here and get it fixed ! I had Jennifer , and I felt 100% confident that she was going to fix my hair and she really did and turned it into exactly what I wanted which was a platinum blonde and it felt happy and healthy. Finally a place to go close to home where it's so friendly and inviting! I felt great as I walked in and wonderful when I walked out. The staff are SUPER NICE the owner is a Sweetheart. I got a color, cut and set and was so pleased with the way my hair looked and felt. The best part of my experience was going to Publix across the street and the Cashier saying "you hair looks great". My advise would be to call and confirm your appointment before you leave your house- because they will not all you. Very disappointing. Their loss. They are not the only place in town. If you want a Salon with professional and knowledgeable stylist this is the salon for you. Clean and friendly staff. So glad they recommended the Brazilian blowout for my hair! Living in Florida my hair always gets frizzy, and this has helped me tame it! And for anyone who has bangs, it's great because they were able to do it just on my bangs. On the days where I don't have time to do all of my hair, I never have to worry that my bangs will be frizzy or a mess. So happy that an upscale, affordable salon opened up in this area! read more
