I needed a big haircut done and added some bangs. Chrissy was amazing. She took her time and made sure everything was how i liked it. She was more worried about how it would turn out than i was. I received a call from melissa. She told me she was the owner of she was upset that I left a bad review. I told her I gave her 2 days to get back to me before I left the review which she claimed she did not get the message yet she had my phone number. Made no sense. She told me to come in and she would refund my 45 dollars. However she was rude, did not appear to care that I look ridiculous and even said I did not leave the salon either that cut claiming she "watched on camera". Well that is the cut I got. Had Terry bothered to dry my bangs and put product on she would have known. I did not realize how hideous they looked either until my hair dried and my hair fell into its normal place where my hair falls. I'm glad they refunded my money but seriously I'll be waiting months for them to grow out. And I was treated very rudely by Melissa who states she is the owner. I was in Marathon for a friends wedding and my hair styling skills are slim to none! I wanted a simple updo so my hair wouldn't get all crazy throughout the night (beach wedding). Literally incredibly rude. I was running late bc Lyft never came and I called to tell them I'd be there in 10 minutes. Melissa was rude on the phone - very curt - just said if you don't get here within 15 minutes I won't take you. Don't know why I followed through but I got there in 10 minutes and she barely greeted me. Rushed through a washing. When I came over to the chair, I crossed my legs and she curtly said, don't do that (not can you please uncross your legs). Trimmed my hair for 10 minutes. Then no blow dry?? Seriously? I asked and she said, rudely, I told you that on the phone. I was in and out in 15 minutes. WTF? I guess I'm fortunate that every other stylist I've ever had before took time, was kind, and actually treated me like a Human being! Definitely no tip for Melissa. And never again. read more

I live in the keys so have been to every salon up and down Rt 1 from Duck Key to Key West. I have very thin but tons of it hair so I have to get in for a haircut every 3-4 weeks. Melissa always listens to what I like and don't like since I change my style often. I know witH Melissa that I will be satisfied and not crying! Story-I went to one place once -after taking 4 years + to grow my hair from 1" down to 2" below my ears, and I told her to just trim it since I was letting it grow out- she took a handful in the back and cut 4" off ! I jumped up and turned to her and shouted didn't you hear me? And ran out the shop. This will never happen at Salon Blanco! We are in Marathon for an extended vacation. I needed a color touch up. The only person available was Angelina. What a nasty attitude and angry person! I have been to many many salons in my life and NEVER have I met anyone so RUDE! I was waiting in the front, only person there, she finally comes up and asks my name. She said, "didn't you hear me call your name? I called it twice! Are you here for something?(she was back by her station, calling me I guess) So already she was cranky and annoyed. Brings me back to her station, I had my long strap purse on. She said" are you gonna keep that thing on?" I took it off, she put it up on a shelf, clearly irritated. I had a magazine, had no where to put it,( no shelves, no tray, nowhere to put it) so I placed it on the floor in front of me. She stared at it, then me, then huffed, picked it up and handed it back to me. After that, I just wanted to get out of there. She did a marginal job with my color touch up, hardly said anything to me. Any time I said anything, she was argumentative and negative back. No warmth, no kindness, no personality. I was planning on getting a cut/blow dry as well as a color touch up but after dealing with her, I decided against it. She told me it would be more expensive if I didn't get any other services. $75 and I was out of there in less than an hour. Buh bye. read more

Poor customer service! My future sister-in-law booked her wedding trial here based on my recommendation. I live and work as a stylist in Boston, and was trying to help her find a good place to get her wedding hair and make-up done. She was expecting a hair and make-up trial, which is what she booked. She arrived to the appt. (which took her 3hours to drive to) to find they do not do make-up which she specifically ask for during the booking. Both the receptionist and stylist were very argumentative and rude about what she had actually booked for. You are in a customer service business and that's not cool! This place does not even deserve 1 star and is an absolute JOKE! DO NOT go here unless you want your wedding day RUINED! All of my bridesmaids hair came out like crap, and when we complained and tried to have them fix our hair, they said that there was not enough time and then proceeded to make us pay for their shitty job. We all went home and had to fix our own hair...such a nightmare!!! Did I mention that while we were in the salon, the bride of another party said that all of her bridesmaids hated their hair also? I love Salon Blanco! Angelina has done my hair for years and she is outstanding. She takes her time to really study my hair. She sees what I need to keep it healthy, talks to me about the style and then gives me great color and a terrific cut. Sometimes I have an idea in my head and again she takes the time to talk with me about whether the idea will work with my hair or if I need to go with a different suggestion. The last time I went, she did highlights and they turned out fabulous! Angelina also does my eyebrows and other waxing and has a great hand and eye for that service too. The salon has a bright, modern and comfortable decor. Everyone there is friendly and professional. I've had a mani/pedi there, too, which was great. (Thanks, Chrissy.) Went to Salon Blanco awhile ago, I had asked for a simple trim- or what was supposed to be a simple trim. I was ostracized over how horribly dead my hair was by a colorful haired chick and told that she "didn't know what to do" with my hair throughout the entire cut. She was continually talking to her colleagues about my "mess of hair". The whole experience was terrible. Oh my god, never, ever, use Angelina. She cut my hair and completely butchered it. A very simple cut. One side is a inch shorter than the other. If she had bothered to blow dry it she would have caught it. On top of it, she was rude to me.
