She personally redid my nails and was extremely careful and attentive. The second experience was much better, and I appreciated how seriously they took the situation and made it right. Because of that, I'm updating my rating to reflect both experiences and their effort to fix it. Here's new nails done. Much different experience this time much appreciated.

I'm very particular about nail care, and Bettye consistently exceeds expectations. Bettye is incredibly talented, professional, and detail-oriented. My nails last about a month, never chip, and my pedicures last beautifully too. The quality of her work is exceptional and far exceeds places I've gone in the Keys. The salon is always clean, welcoming, and relaxing. The staff is friendly and attentive, and I always appreciate the little touches like offering drinks and snacks while you're there. It feels less like an appointment and more like visiting people who genuinely care about their clients. One thing I especially appreciate about Bettye is how accommodating she is. She stays booked for a reason, but if an emergency comes up she always tries to fit me in, or connect me with someone she trusts. That says a lot about her professionalism and how much she values her customers. I also appreciate the specials and discounts they offer, which is a nice bonus, but I keep coming back because of the quality, consistency, and service. I trust Bettye completely and will continue going to Dreams and Nails as long as I live in the Keys. We peel and eat shrimp from the bar near our pool on our open day and it was fresh and tasty. The wedding took place on a point by the water right at sunset and it was over the top beautiful. Our room was spacious and very well appointed. Our patio on the second floor was very nice and had an amazing view of the ocean. So nice and a great Key experience.

However, this is where it turns. The activities are "limited" to say the least. They do have some, but they are lackluster. The BIGGEST highlight was a close up magician that met us at the beach bar. Stellar. My partner was vegetarian and had extremely limited options for food which was unfortunate. The food we did get was mediocre at best. The beach was very very disappointing. As soon as you take a step towards the beach it is pure Mud. A few steps into the water and it is still pure mud and seaweed. To call this beach access would be a sales pitch without follow up. The smell of the beach is also not great. However, the resort has a lot of land and is very spread out. This allows it to never feel too congested or busy.
