I want to start off with I went to the MIA in Victoria Gardens. I just wanted to write this review…read morefor any girls that are going into their blonde era. Now I didn't read any yelp reviews for salons when I was young so I hope you girls are smarter than I was. I trusted MIA because they were apart of Aveda. I thought if I was going to do it I was going to pay top dollar because I love having long thick hair. From my experience of going with this company my hair still broke a lot. Of course bleach is going to do that. Any stylist would say that. I'm sad to say if it's going to break either way why pay $350 when you can pay $180 or $230 for the exact same breakage from somewhere else. I also want it known that I am (NOT) supposed to have bangs. It happened through this journey. My second complain one of the times I went in they gave me a shadow root touch up instead of a full bleach blonde. I didn't like spending that kind of money for something I didn't want. The hair stylist blamed me. She said I had to be putting something different in my hair because she couldn't get it blonde like before. They weren't kind about fixing what they did wrong. They also couldn't accommodate to my busy work schedule to get me in. I ended up having to pay for the little roots that came in two weeks later for them to fix it. That was a good $600 that month out of my pocket. I also want to say I didn't like the energy or vibe from both girls at the salon. Customer service is very important to me. When I work with a client I'm always trying to make conversation with them. I'm always smiling and laughing with them. Whenever I went I felt like I had to carry the conversation and it got to a point i would bring my headphones so I didn't have to bug them with my life stories. I don't want to drop names because I respect this is their income. Lastly, I don't apply heat to my hair. I use Aveda hair care product all the time. I added a picture below of everything I use to restore my hair. I don't know anything about salons or hair dye. I am not a professional at all. I would like to continue my hair journey elsewhere if my hair is going to look cut off in weird places. I don't have pictures of every time I went in but I did want to share the ones I found. This review is for you ladies and you can decide if the salon is right for you. I hope this helps your hair journey!

She then asked how are your kids "- like are they bad kids or are they ok for a haircut." Bad kids? Really weird thing to say when scheduling Anyway she offered another time and I suggested she check with the stylist first to ensure they ok with kids. We decided to go elsewhere. Overall not a very welcoming vibe.

The only reason why we went here was bc my hair lady was out of town the week of my daughters senior photo shoot. I thought that was a bit much. I'm a frequent visitor to the hair salon for years to do my hair and the toner for highlights was always included in the service. I thought that was odd with this service. You're stuck with orange or yellow hair unless you pay extra for toner. Only thing I liked was the place and she was quick. I don't think we will be going here again. I'll take my business back to my hair stylist

The set up of this salon is completely different from others. First off they don't have a…read morereceptionist. You walk in and there is a sign on the wall asking for customers to have a seat in waiting area. One row of seats is blocked off by a wall, and another is blocked by a wall of products the client can purchase. There are many stylist chairs but only 2 stylist were in. Once I walked in I stood awkwardly in the middle of the waiting room looking for a receptionist table or a sign in sheet and nothing. I didn't have an appointment and was looking to set one up, or see if they could accept me as a walk in. (They had a walk-in welcome post on their door). I did find a sign on a wall that asked for clients to take a seat. I found a seat and started to look at work emails. During this time another client walked in and was greeted and asked to sit down with a stylist. I figured she had an appointment. After a couple minutes of work related dozing off I got a phone call that made me look at the time and had me realize I had been waiting for 40 mins. Still not a single "hey how can we help you". Nothing. At this point I stood up thinking maybe they hadn't seen me. Stood in the middle and still.... Nothing. I walked out. While opening the door I realized they had a beep when the door opened so I know they could hear when I walked in or walked out. Complete waste of time. Stylist should be aware of who walks in and maybe try greeting them.
