I was a regular customer until I had an unfortunate incident that the owner handled poorly. The person that cuts my hair was a no show for a 4pm appointment. This was not first thing in the morning - despite a no show all day, no one bothered to let me know until I showed up. The staff assured me she would probably show up, but when it became clear that was not happening, I was asked to reschedule and was told I would be given some sort of credit for the inconvenience (as you would expect someone who made a mistake to do). After the reschedule (which was an inconvenient time), when I reminded the staff of that issue, the owner laughed, and then acted shocked and appalled such that I was out of line to even raise the issue that another member of his staff already promised, and acted as though I was making an unreasonable request. When I explained to him the situation, that did not change his approach - he maintained the same attitude, and did not even once apologize for having wasted a fair bit of my time. It is not about the money - purely the principle. Ultimately, because he refused to do anything to try to right his initial wrong, even offering something like a $10 credit, and then handled it even more poorly from there, he lost a regular customer in a business that depends on repeat customers and that would have paid him thousands of dollars over many years. It was truly an amazing way to approach business, but that is his call if that is how he wants to treat his customers. read more

This place is awful. The entire salon is filthy, the towels are stinky, they speak poorly of other customers and they are definitely not skilled enough to charge what they charge - example, it's an additional $45 to dry (not a blow out!) your hair after paying for a full priced service. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Enzo is a master at Haircuts! So happy I found this gem of a salon! And it's just down the street! Who knew?

A friend of mine has been here a few times and said only good things, so I decided to try it. She had told me they are on the spendy side, but neglected to say exactly HOW spendy. My first time I expected a higher price tag, but then I only had my split ends trimmed and roots done, it wasn't too bad. I made another appointment wherein I needed (wanted highlights), spoke to my same friend who mentioned that prices went up .. WAY up, but I figured it wouldn't be that much more. WHOA was I wrong !!! So, I opted to only have split ends cut, and I had highlights done. I explained to Enzo that I did NOT want those ugly chunky highlights, and that my previous hairdresser made my highlights razor thin, which I loved becasuse it looked natural. So anyway, I guess I was there 2.5 hours, and while there, I had a nice conversation with Enzo, he's a nice guy, I like him, but he proceeded to tell me how the cost of everything was going up (my 1st clue for what was coming), then he went on to complain that the cost to repair his car went way up because where ever it is being fixed found more wrong with the car then originally thought (my 2nd clue). I was feeling like I was going to get hosed ! And guess what? I was. So, after 2.5 hours, chunky highlights (opposite of what I asked for), roots and cut split ends, the bill was ... are you sitting down ? The bill after tip was about $360, but wait... there's more ... when I looked at my credit card charges prior to paying it, the charge from the salon was $377.77 !!! So I called to inquire and was told there was a "New Policy" that started "about the beginning of March" of a new "service charge for using a credit card. What?? No one told me, oh ? Well there is a sign posted about it, which apparently is so HUGE that I just must have over looked it ** eye roll**. So, for anyone who is thinking of going here, be aware of that, the service charge for using a credit card is about 5% - which is outrageous. Gee, I'm really sorry that Enzo was in a car accident and got hit by someone while HE was backing out of a parking spot and has to pay to have his car fixed, but guess what?? Thanks to sleepy potato head Joe Biden, EVERTYHING is going up for EVERYONE, including your clients, no need to fleece them! Good riddance. read more

I just love the entire staff here, but normally go see Arianna for my eyebrow shaping and tinting, eyelash tinting and lift, and Setha for my hair styling and color. I've been going to Setha forever for my hair, and both of these women now keep me looking my best. I even got my husband going there as well. Close to my home, it is so convenient, but not just that, this is a group of highly skilled stylists at least as good (I would argue even better) as anyone you'd find in downtown / old town Scottsdale. I went into this salon looking drab and like the older woman that I am. I had read the reviews, and knew I wanted an appointment with Setha. I had shoulder length hair and told her I needed a change. She lightened me up with color and then weaved highlights through it. She cut my hair into a perfect bob. I thought I would try bangs . She slowy cut them so I had a chance to be sure. I do ask him to change up my color and style once a year because I get bored and he is very accommodating and always listens to what I want and he delivers!! I was originally referred by someone who I do business with & I loved her hair and she is also someone that has always given me exceptional customer servive. My first hair appointment was with Setha who did an excellent job on my hair. It was very expensive but because I loved it; I didn't mind. However; I since then have tried to get an appointment w same hair dresser now for several months and it seems that she is no longer there on days and times that I need. I called and talked to owner, Enzo, who was extremely rude to me! When I originally went there; I was quoted 80.00 for partial highlight low light and 180.00 for full highlight low light. The first time I a full highlight and paid 185.00 and this time I just needed a partial. I spoke to Enzo, the owner and he said that I was wrong and that if I didn't like his prices that I could find another place to go! HE WAS SO RUDE!! The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I have ever received in my entire life! I also drive 45 min just to get there! I highly recommend that if you want great and friendly customer service; DONT GO HERE! GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!! It was a very cold environment not warm and inviting at all! read more

Just rude. They put a coupon out, they meaning the owners, but refused to honor it. The owner says he is too good for the coupon that he put out. This makes no sense. On a sidenote, please look at the other reviews and see that they are completely fake. This salon just opened so how is it that three reviews all have five stars and all claim that Enzo is the best and has been for 20 years. I really don't like salons that put up false reviews!!!!
