I moved to the…read moreregion from the west coast 14 years ago, and it took a long time to find anyone in the area who really knows how to cut hair. I did manage to find a local stylist several years ago, but within less than a year's time she sold her business and moved to Hawaii to get married. I've been going to someone in Shelby who liked very much, but unfortunately her health got in the way of her business, so she too closed up shop. After we lost her, my mother and I both went more than a year without any hair cut at all, until someone I met at Ingles whose hair I really liked told me she went to Hair Castle. When I went in to schedule an appointment with the same stylist as the lady from Ingles used I was informed that she had just begun maternity leave, and therefore wouldn't be back for months. The lady who was helping me said she'd be happy to take my mother and me on as clients, so I booked an appointment with her. Her name is Connie, and she was awesome. I have baby fine hair, and so I need a cut that helps give it body. Every stylist I had ever been to in my 50 years on this earth, would insist that the only way to get volume was to layer my hair. I'd tell that it had the opposite effect on me, and actually makes my hair cling to my scalp that much more when it is layered. Without fail, every one of them would ignore me and give me a layer cut only to find out I was right. Who would have guessed that I was more familiar with my hair after living with that hair for 50 years than the hair stylist who had never even seen me before, but also never had their hands on my hair. That did't happen with Connie though. She understood fully what I was saying, and admitted that she'd seen that happen with other people with such baby fine hair. So no argument. No condescension. Nothing at all but "I understand, and I'll do it the way you want." Literally the very first hair stylist to do that. And lo and behold I walked out of there with best haircut I've ever had in life. Needless to say, I am a loyal customer of hers until which time one of us dies, or she chooses to retire. But being as she is quite a bit younger than I, I'm hoping the latter won't even be an option for many, many years.

When I went back to get the extensions she used a toner and stripped my natural hair color and it turned a whitish grey. The lighting was bad so I couldn't tell my hair was that color until I had gotten home. I immediately texted her and told what she had done. She did attempt to fix it twice but it made it worse, then my hair color was a an ugly reddish tint.(my hair was blonde). I had my 5 week appointment scheduled and I was going to talk to her then about the hair quality because it was matting together in big knots and the hair felt like Barbie's fake hair and it had gotten worse. However she canceled the day of the appointment. Then I had another one that had been scheduled and she canceled that one as well. She had told me when I did the consultation with her that the hair was REAL well it's NOT! I went to a professional hair dresser to try and get my color back since she wouldn't help me! When taking the extensions out a lot of my hair came out with it because she had the beads so tight. The professional hair dresser said that indeed this was not real hair, but synthetic hair!!! I don't appreciate being lied to especially after spending $830 dollars just for the hair not including an additional $345(I believe) for her to ruin my hair! When I contacted her back about the hair being fake and a lot of my hair falling out, and my hair color being stripped, she stated she had already done two re-do's and she doesn't offer any refunds. She sent me a screenshot of the company so I reached out to them. I texted her back and let her know that I had spoken with Bellami company and they said they are trying to get ahold of her regarding my purchase of the hair. But she wouldn't respond to me or the company. The company said they had reached out to her several times to no avail and that she was the purchaser and she had to respond in order for them to assist me. She never did. I contacted the company again and they stated since Hair by Sammi was being very unprofessional by not responding that they would help me. I told them the hair I received wasn't remi hair but synthetic. Not what they advertised on their website. They stated that there is real remi hair and that I could send it in and they would inspect it to make sure it was even their hair product and not off TEMU or AMAZON!
