There are so many things that I love about the salon and the people that work there. First and foremost, I love my hair! One of the owners , Tracy, does my hair and she just gets me. I am one of those people who goes in with some hairdo on a celebrity and say that is what I want. Tracy always takes the time to discuss what I actually like about the hair color or style, we discuss if it is an option for me and I always walk out of there with gorgeous hair. I had always had horrible blond envy, but never found a stylist that got me to a blond I was comfortable with. No longer, I have gorgeous blond hair, perfect length for my face and it is healthy. I need to mention the overall atmosphere of Agape. It is obvious they our customer service focused. I am always warmly greeted, nice waiting area with drinks, everyone is friendly to everyone, I never feel rushed, it is bright and welcoming, overall a great experience. I moved to the…read moreregion from the west coast 14 years ago, and it took a long time to find anyone in the area who really knows how to cut hair. I did manage to find a local stylist several years ago, but within less than a year's time she sold her business and moved to Hawaii to get married. I've been going to someone in Shelby who liked very much, but unfortunately her health got in the way of her business, so she too closed up shop. After we lost her, my mother and I both went more than a year without any hair cut at all, until someone I met at Ingles whose hair I really liked told me she went to Hair Castle. When I went in to schedule an appointment with the same stylist as the lady from Ingles used I was informed that she had just begun maternity leave, and therefore wouldn't be back for months. The lady who was helping me said she'd be happy to take my mother and me on as clients, so I booked an appointment with her. Her name is Connie, and she was awesome. I have baby fine hair, and so I need a cut that helps give it body. Every stylist I had ever been to in my 50 years on this earth, would insist that the only way to get volume was to layer my hair. I'd tell that it had the opposite effect on me, and actually makes my hair cling to my scalp that much more when it is layered. Without fail, every one of them would ignore me and give me a layer cut only to find out I was right. Who would have guessed that I was more familiar with my hair after living with that hair for 50 years than the hair stylist who had never even seen me before, but also never had their hands on my hair. That did't happen with Connie though. She understood fully what I was saying, and admitted that she'd seen that happen with other people with such baby fine hair. So no argument. No condescension. Nothing at all but "I understand, and I'll do it the way you want." Literally the very first hair stylist to do that. And lo and behold I walked out of there with best haircut I've ever had in life. Needless to say, I am a loyal customer of hers until which time one of us dies, or she chooses to retire. But being as she is quite a bit younger than I, I'm hoping the latter won't even be an option for many, many years.

I have told everyone how wonderful Jordan and Sherry are, their skills are so far above anyone I have ever been too; they really are artists, AND they are incredibly humble. The only criticism I had was that they should charge MORE! I think they are very inexpensive for the amazing skills and excellent service they provide. Anyway, check them out and see for yourself!

I had long hair going short to my jawline, stacked in the back blending through to the front. She did a dry cut, chopped my hair to my ears, didn't texture it on top and I don't know what she did in the back but it's not stacked, it's just cut short to my head. I'm now going to have to find someone to fix it and will end up with a pixie cut to even it out. If you value your hair and money, don't go, you won't get what you're expecting.

Not only did Christine make my har look amazing, she gave it a 110% effort and came in on her day off so she could focus on my hair. Everyone raved about it - and I have never looked better.
