I had a bad experience here yesterday, I've never gone to a hair salon before so I was excited to change my natural dark hair to a lighter chestnut/auburn color. I trusted Kresa I showed her inspo pictures and told her my goal was to get away from the black hair. I left the salon with my hair wet and it dried up the same color and I came back to get it fixed which I shouldn't have done because the second session was the same I left with wet hair and it dried up the same dark color. I want to recommend this salon 33, Danielle and her staff. I was originally scheduled on 03/15/23 to a stylist at the Sola Salon, however this was the second time he had canceled on me. I was frustrated because I had taken the time to schedule myself for work to make this appointment. After looking on insta and yelp I came across Salon 33! They were the only Salon that had an actual land line, I was able to talk to someone and thank god they accommodated me to come in same day!!!! I told them exactly what I wanted and Dannielle took amazing care of me. Her Assistant Britney was also amazing! They both checked on me and offer me wine which I love. If you wanna get ripped off, then go to this salon and book with Kylee! I booked a color plus itip extensions installation with her (I provided the hair). She charges $70 per pack for installation which is a decent price BUT SHE ONLY INSTALLED COUPLE PIECES!! I had 3 packs of hair which is equivalent to 150g of hair but she didn't install all of it. I would understand if she wouldn't install everything if it's going to be too full, but she only installed at least 1 pack of hair and charged me for the 3 packs!! I didn't say anything after when she handed me the remaining packs of hair (which was my mistake) cause she did a good job on my hair color. I didn't know how good she is with the installation since it's my first time going to her & my first time having itips installation but after 4 days, 3 itips already fell out!!! I reached out to her and said she would install it back but then she moved my schedule until later that day and ended up not replying to me. After 3 days from that, I reached out to her again for the 2nd time and said she would check her availabilty but never got back to me AGAIN. After 2 weeks, 6 itips already fell out so I reached out to her again for the 3rd time and said to come on a Saturday, I was already at the salon when she texted me that she had a car accident and had to cancel her whole day but when her other co-worker contacted her, she said that she's coming that day. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. I went to a different hair extension specialist and she said that my itips installation are all over the place & not even close to 100g! I would've let this slide if she had contacted me & offered to still fix it, WHICH SHE NEVER DID. I haven't had any experience with this kind of customer service where you don't prioritize your client's satisfaction. NEVER EVER BOOK WITH KYLEE FOR EXTENSIONS. Her color services are great but extensions? Go do your research and find someone else cause if anything happens to your extensions after, SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BE LIABLE FOR IT!!! read more

Yvonne is very unprofessional! I definitely dont recommend her. She's only good at "promoting" her fake, filtered (photoshopped) work on social media (Instagram: @hairartbyyvonne), so don't be fooled. She brags about her 10+ years of experience, but actually does the work of an amateur. Aside from the awful color, she cut my hair wet with zero skills. Who cuts hair wet anymore? She left me with Neapolitan brown, yellow, and orange colored hair which I didn't ask for, and rejected my offer to show her in person. Then she completely ghosted (stopped responding) when I kindly asked her again to please fix it. I understand dark hair can be difficult to lighten, but she could've offered to at least tone it. For reference, my hair was never box dyed or colored straight black. I got really negative feedback from my friends, family, and co-workers about the color and poor customer service. She just took my money and disappeared, mind you she charges way too much for what she delivers. I tipped her 20% and ended up paying a little over $200 for the entire service. I was also very nice to her even when I messaged her with photos that I wasnt happy, so I expected better treatment. It was extremely embarrassing and stressful having to walk around like that for special events (during fall 2018) while trying to find someone else to fix her mistake. She's also unstable because 2 days before my appointment she said she was moving to Sola Salons then the next day right before I was to go in she said nevermind. Very disappointed in my experience. The salon is aesthetically pleasing and that's possibly my only plus in this review. First, my appointment was an hour late. I was asked to either come back in 30 minutes or wait. At that point, I left, came back in 30 minutes to find out my stylist was still not done. I ended up waiting another 30 minutes and I did not sit down at the chair until 10am to start my appointment. Next, my hair stylist takes a quick glance at the photo I showed for her to mimic the color. Perhaps it was because she was an hour late, but I felt a sense of urgency on her end and it made me uncomfortable. I've seen hair stylists move fast, but efficient. She made me feel like she was rushed, doing my hair as a race for time for whatever reason. Her movements were quick and I almost had the urge to tell her to slow down as I started to feel like she was going to mess up. Even the way she turned my head when she had to get to a different angle was hurried; it felt like she was trying to crack my neck than just move it ever so slightly. While I sit aside to let my hair sit with all the foil, I see not one, but TWO clients that she attended to. I understand it's customary to book another client as I let my hair sit, but the time frame I was given to wait for my hair to sit was MORE THAN doubled. Mind you, she was already over said time frame with the FIRST client, but as soon as I saw the second client sit, I nearly lost it. I confronted her to ask why there's another person she is cutting AND styling and then she quickly blamed the receptionist, stating it was their fault they brought her this client. From my understanding, the stylist is usually able to say yes or no...? Maybe I'm wrong. Either way, horrible communication between them two. She did not even come to tell me about this second client (She only informed me about the first.) I find out about her as she walked past me, not even bothering to explain the situation, and proceed to begin cutting the second client's hair. My appointment was supposed to start at 9am. It's now 2:30 and my hair is not out of the foil, not dried, not cut, and not styled. I decide to march over to her to tell her I had to leave (I have myself a 4 1/2 hr time frame from 9am, since this was how long it took when I had my VIRGIN hair colored for the first time..this was my second time when I came to her.) I leave the salon with wet hair, uncut, and wildly disappointed. When I finally dried it at home, the color was AWFUL. COMPLETELY unlike the photo I requested. It was supposed to be a warm caramel and I had very washed out blonde. Needless to say, I'm never returning to this salon. She was a young stylist. Perhaps she hasn't fully grasped her time management. However she has lost my trust with my hair but I wish her better fortune for the future. read more

I don't even know where to start.. so I went to Salon 33 to get a hair treatment and trim by Alie Thomey in February. While there we got to talking and I told her how much I want hair extensions because my hair grows slow. We set an appointment for March 26th, and on March 7th I paid her $420 for my hair extensions. When I got to the salon March 26th, Alie was late for my appointment and then pulled out a box with hair extensions and started look through them saying she'd ordered the wrong hair for one client but I wasn't the client she ordered the wrong hair for and how she was a mess from stuff going on at home. Well the whole time during my almost 3 hour hair appointment she was texting and taking calls on her phone. That night I paid an additional $384. Fast forward to a week or two and I'm noticing my hair is pretty fried, she put a toner/bleach just on the top part of my hair but left it in for about 30 mins at my appt. I reached out to her and she first tried to say it was the way I was washing my hair. So I went and spent another $100 on olaplex treatment, saved what I could of my hair and found another stylist to fix my hair. Well as you can see in the photos, since I can't post a video, my extensions were awful, they are plastic, the root color of the extensions don't match my roots. I came in with dark roots to see her the first appointment and second appointment. She used black string to sew them in. They were pretty painful from needing to be redone and this was only in 2 months. So it hurt to even brush my hair at the end. I've reached out to her and asked for help but she chooses to ignore me. Couldn't be happier with the salon and my stylist Emily. From start to finish everything about this salon is a class act. I called last week trying to get in for a color correction and root cover up before my vacation. The front desk staff was super helpful and got me in Emily. She was friendly and collaborated on the best approach to get rid of my red and bring me to a nice chocolate brown with some caramel pieces. My color is gorgeous and the style is hot! I've been following Tricia for more than 10 years, and I will continue to follow her wherever she goes, but I have to admit Salon 33 is one of the funnest salons she has been in. I love the decor, which is not your typical Bakersfield Salon decor. It is up-to-date, eclectic, young and up beat. I'm in my 50's, but I love the music and the feel of the place. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The flow of the salon works especially now that they have opened a second side to the shop. Worse customer service I've ever received. Short story I have a toddler & just recently a newborn. so booking a hair appt doesnt come by to often for me. Had my hair done by Jazmin for the first time. She wasn't friendly didnt ask for my name plus she was working on 3 other ppl at the time of my appointment. (Red flag she has issues with booking her clients). Felt so unimportant, she didn't leave a great first impression on me. Matter of fact she looked pissed off the entire time. Everyone in that Salon was fake & looked miserable. My mistake for giving her second chance today 6/25/19. Again she double books on me. I Made this 10 o'clock appt. a month in advanced & check this out she even texts me to conform our appt THE DAY BEFORE! LOL. My experience at salon 33 was average. I walked in and was greeted so I appreciated that. I waited roughly 20 minutes to be taken back by Yvonne. I was taken off guard that she didn't know what we were going to do even though it was explained through text. So I reexplained and she did a balayage/baby light mix w/olaplex. She did a good job, she was very kind, but I feel she was pretty stingy with foils. She even told me I had a lot of hair but didn't ask if it was ok to charge more for more foils which I would've said was fine, she just gave me very few foils for the amount of hair I have. Then her assistant took over and washed and styled my hair. Also very kind only con was she was way too rough combing my hair out. I literally saw my hair coming out on her brush. Bleached hair is very sensitive when wet that's common knowledge, so for a hair stylist to not treat my hair with more care, also threw me off. So would I go back? No. read more

For being a new client and scheduling with Yvonne for the first time through style seat.. I gave her all my information booked for 12/24/2018 at 9am i showed up for my appointment and the shop was closed. I text her several times and didnt get a reply till about 30 mins past 9am. as she said it must have been a misunderstanding... i will never go back to that salon no matter what. She couldve had the consideration to call me knowing it was a holiday and she wasnt going to be there. I have proof that my appointment was booked for that day and her schedule was open. i even showed this to one of the nail ladys that worked there and she even said you had an appt and the nail lady even text yvonne and screen shot my appt i had scheduled...
