If you choose to work at a KIDS salon with KIDS you are expected to at least be communicative and more patient towards them and us as the parents. especially if you see they are already in distress. As a parent you don't mind paying extra if you know you're paying for a better service but the service here was TERRIBLE, they clearly don't have people skills here. If you're looking to cut your toddler's hair please go somewhere else where the people who work there will be kinder and more communicative with you and your child. Instead of just trying to rush you and your child off. On top of the bad service I never once saw them clean in between clients so not very sanitary either.

I was happy to wait in the comfy seating area and also, to check out the small clothing area featuring boutique-ish items. Myself and the other bridesmaid waited a bit longer to start our appointments. I was the last to be helped, waiting about 15-20 minutes after our appointment time. Nevada was a joy to talk to and completed my simple hairstyle in less than 30 minutes. What ended up disappointing me, was that she said she was going to make my curls tighter so they would fall loosely as the day went on for the wedding itself. Unfortunately, the curls were already loose by the time I left the salon. I had to have another bridesmaid re-curl them before pictures. However, the braids and bun stayed perfectly throughout the night. The bride struggled with her stylist not taking into account the more simple and natural look she asked for. At the beginning she was loving it, but by the end she was very unhappy with all of the extra pinning that was done and we had to partially redo her hair when we got to the wedding venue. I was told my hair would be $70 when I went to pay. When the bride got her hair done two days prior for her bridal portraits, she paid $65 for a much more intricate and time-consuming style. So I questioned the price, and after the receptionist came back she said there was a miscommunication and the wedding planner had worked out an agreement for $60 each, which I accepted. I still struggled with the fact that the other two girls got charged the same price for hair that took at least three times as long to do as mine. It makes more sense to me to price based on intricacy and time to complete. My hair is much shorter than the other two ladies so I had less options for what to do with my hair, and I wanted to keep it simple. I just have a hard time justifying $60 for a hairstyle that took so little time, and that I had to fix myself anyway. Overall, this is an aesthetically beautiful salon but they need to make some adjustments to policies and pay more attention to detail. 3.5 stars rounding to 4.

Communication was poor, and when I did hear back, it was just excuses from Amanda instead of real updates. If you're someone who has to arrange childcare, this is especially frustrating. I ended up paying for extra hours I didn't need because of the delay. Most salons have strict cancellation policies for clients, but this salon seems fine canceling or pushing appointments less than an hour before. Overall, the scheduling needs serious improvement. We were greeted by Laura and my son immediately went to the pirate ship and play area. Which was so nice for him to run around and let off some energy before his haircut. He sat in the little boat seat and I was able to pick out a show for him. Laura was very fast and was able to cut his hair after we told her what we wanted in about 10 minutes. He was a little nervous in the beginning, but got comfortable. Laura did a great job and his haircut turned out perfect. And then he was excited to play again!

The little boats that's they have the first cuts in are absolutely precious and they have Ms. Rachel on playing at every station which is VERY important. Parker started to get a little upset which was expected but I able to sit right by there with him while she finished up his hair. They have an online booking system which makes it super easy and they were on time for our appointment. For older kids they have a little treasure box that you can pick something out of when they are done, not to mention the super cool boat playground.
