What a beautiful place! Magical.
Stumble on it as you travel from Carmarthen to Cardigan just after Newcastle Emlyn. The shop/cafe is right on the road guarding the entrance to the car park next to the falls by the bridge.
Have a full breakfast and ask to take your laden plateful down to the waters edge or use one of the picnic tables nestling in the wooded slope.
The food is cafe style - straight forward - coffee is instant so don't get too exited by the idea of a Costa style Americano - this is getting back to nature stuff.
Either pay £2 for the car park here or scoot round to the other side of the river and turn down the road by the Three Horseshoes Inn, hoping to find a free car park space down on the right (if lucky as only a few)- absolutely gorgeous spot frequented by salmon fishermen and happy watchers.
Get your walking boots on and tramp upstream if the fancy takes you and you have more time - or just laze around for a bit and then head off to Cardigan (maybe stopping at Cilgerran Castle for spectacular views over the gorge).
A couple of other spots in the village might be worth poking your head around, like the pub and the local antiques center and nearby cheese factory, again if you have time.
Recommended location.
