My lovely wife comes here because she likes the stylist who does her hair. And after four or five…read morevisits, we've yet to have an appointment go perfectly well. Each time, the stylist has been overbooked and so a ninety-minute appointment for color and cut took well beyond two hours. Once, they did the wrong color. We thought we could solve the late running appointments by getting the first one of they day. Nope. That plan went sideways today. They just called to tell us that the latest problem is that the stylist is sick. This for an appointment that was booked three months ago. I understand being sick and I'm glad he chose not to come to work. The issue is that the salon is so fully booked that they have no one else who can do this until at least 4pm today. And with what we've experienced before, that means at least three hours of hole in our afternoon when we had everything queued up for this morning appointment. I think at this point, it's time for me to help Mrs. K. find a new salon. Thankfully, we don't have some urgent party or event this evening where the color and cut were critical. The prices and selection are pretty good since it's a smaller place. I found an adorable wig and a new pony tail extension there for a pretty reasonable price, so all in all I was happy with the trip. The one thing that I'll say might could pose a problem is their policy on only trying on 3 wigs per visit. I'm guessing that's there for kids or customers who are just there to have fun rather than to shop, but when I was told this I wasn't really helped or watched over while trying on, so unless I wanted something from behind the counter, there really wasn't any enforcement of that policy. I think that if you're not used to the wig shopping world, then this place may not be the best to educate or help you with your first experience. An example is when I was looking for a bang extension, and there was no help except to show me where the bang length tracks were, which isn't what I was asking for. Again, this is okay with me because I knew what I was looking for specifically and this employee had just never heard of that particular item. However, I'd totally recommend going here and I'll for sure be back.

Specifically, she dismissed the importance of her aunt's age and the customer being right whether they are right or nlt but thats the way the job is supposed to train employers, if u have a problem with the customer be professional and go get your supervisor, obviously many more ppl have had and issue with this same chick because on fb otherd knew exactly who she was and how she disrespects customers acting like a big chap, im really interested in what the manager has to say, alot of us will be boycotting this place until she is trained to do better, fired, or and apology is in order on their website this chick behaved in a way that I would find as a customer and aa a mother unacceptable and very disrespectful. Customer service and respect should be a priority, especially when dealing with seniors. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior to prevent this from happening to others again and again, again I will be reconsidering my future visits based on this experience please do the same.

I luckily was able to see Cierra ( not sure if I spelled her name right). She gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had! I was is shock because my hair is extremely difficult to cut; it's very fine and thinning in the crown. I explained how I would like the cut corrected and she got to work. She took her time, she was very thorough and paid attention to every detail, double checking all sections. I'm so immensely grateful for Cierra and her kind conversation while I was there. I had my 1st appointment today and Tara made me feel welcomed, her shop is clean, took time to question what I wanted done to my hair and also suggested product for my thinning temples. I have natural, soft fine hair so it is easy to blow out. And Tara did an excellent job, my hair is silky with body. My search criteria was NOT OVER PRICED, CLEANLINESS, AND GREAT BLOWOUT WITH SMOOTH ROOTS- Tara exceeded my expectations and I will be calling her again to do my hair.

At 7:00 am this morning I was approached by a white male wearing a wrinkled security guard uniform…read moreoutside of L'Occitane store located at SouthPark Mall. He asked me why was I in the mall because the mall is closed. I responded that I walk at the SouthPark mall many days a week and have been doing so for many years. I have never had any problems walking at the SouthPark mall with other Senior people. I asked him his name and he told me it was Rick. I continued to walking and as I round the store front of L'Occitane fora second time Rick decided to flag me down again and said that he just got off the phone with his supervisor and they said I had to leave the mall immediately. I was not in the L'Occitane store or any other store for that matter. I was just walking for exercise. I asked Rick why did he stop me and none of the white peoples who were walking. He said that he didn't see anyone but me. That's far from the truth because there were many people walking this morning. I felt racially profiled for being a Black man walking in the mall. I was the only black person walking this morning. There was no legitimate reason for Security working at the L'Occitane store to be outside in the mall harassing me. I've never shopped at this store and because of this incident I never will. I am an Army Veteran and have served many years for my country so when ignorance presents itself I feel a civic duty to let people know about the experience.
