With a very thorough consultation , she took the time to talk to me and look at my hair to create a custom formula to match my natural hair color. I came in with very blonde hair, with lots of highlights done by other stylists, I wanted some dimension with darker blonde for the fall, and she slayed! She also recommended me good products to keep my color for as long as we can and informed me about getting toner in the future for touch -ups instead of having to get a lot of highlights. Thank you Stepheni and McKinley's!

Her nail tech moved, and getting appointments in a studio setting can be difficult. However, my wife came across this place and recommended it to me. I came about a week ago, and it was great. They accept both walk-ins and appointments, and I was a walk-in. Today, I'm bringing my girls here for a spa day because they did a great job in school. Enough about us and more about this place--I just wanted to give a little context. This place is super clean and posh. It has an upscale atmosphere and provides friendly service. Even though this is only my second time here, they were very accommodating in taking care of my mini-me's. Now, because I'm not someone who regularly gets my nails done (because I'm a dude), you'll have to make your own assessment. For now, I'm going to start them out with a 4 until my next visit. My little ones seemed to enjoy themselves, and that's all that matters to me at this moment. So check this place out. I'll do another review the next time I come back for my mani-pedi.

I repeatedly told the nail technician not to cut so far down because it was hurting me, but he ignored my requests and continued anyway. What makes this experience even more unacceptable is that after seeing my nails bleed, he continued using the same aggressive technique on my remaining nails, causing additional injuries. Rather than stopping or changing his approach, he continued cutting and using various tools and products on my fingers, despite the fact that my skin was broken and my nails were actively bleeding. Applying tools and products to multiple open wounds like this raises serious concerns about sanitation and the risk of infection. The situation became even more concerning when he applied an antibacterial sealant to my fingers but touched the dropper directly to my bloody finger after using that same dropper on other customers' bloody fingers. This was extremely unsanitary and created an unnecessary risk of cross-contamination. At no point did he apologize for causing me to bleed, acknowledge the pain I was experiencing, or even offer me a Band-Aid. I specifically told him that what he was doing hurt, and he chose to ignore me. Even after seeing the injuries he had caused, he showed no concern and continued the same behavior. I went in expecting a basic manicure, not to leave with six bleeding fingers. Mistakes can happen, but repeatedly ignoring a customer's pain, continuing to injure them, and handling open wounds in a way that raises serious hygiene concerns is completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon.

I love Salon Ten! I've been coming to Salon Ten since I moved to Ashburn in 2010. I was hesitant to…read morecome to an actual salon as I'd been taking the metro into DC to go to the Aveda Institute for a long time. However, Salon Ten was the first salon in the Loudoun area I went to and as long as my stylist Jessie remains with Salon Ten, I'll be going there! The salon is easy to get to and there's usually ample parking. The salon is clean and modern. They use individual cloth hand towels in the restroom, and I have yet to see a single towel that has dye stains on it. My one complaint is the lack of purse hooks. There really should be one in the bathroom, and I feel the stylists should have them near their stations so I wouldn't have to put my designer bag on the floor. At least in the restroom there are surfaces besides the sink to put your bag. When I walk into Salon Ten, if Jessie isn't standing right there to meet me, the receptionist always says: "Julie? Jessie's just finishing up, would you like a beverage?" It's fantastic. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes past my appointment time, they are masters at scheduling here. I also really enjoy that Salon Ten is an adult-oriented atmosphere. It says so right on the door as you walk in. They will give kids a cut, but they have an age limit, and a parent must be with them at all times. I think I saw one Jr. High school boy in here once, never have I seen another child. Jessie is a very talented stylist. My hair grows like no one's business, so I let my hair grow out for about 2 years, seeing Jessie every 6 weeks or so for a trim, and once my hair is long enough to donate, I let Jessie hack it off and do what she wants to me. I've always been very pleased. She chooses something face-flattering and very on-trend. I've never seen her in a bad mood. She's always sweet, professional, and is never pushy about products. She always asks me at the end of my visit: "How are you doing on products?" I love the Eufora products Salon Ten carries, so occasionally I'll ask her about something new, but she never pushes and if she does mention a new product, she'll always ask: "I want to try a different product in your hair today Julie, is that alright?" Salon Ten is a bit pricey. I pay Jessie $50 for a haircut. Some stylists charge more depending on the "level" they are working at. The products range from about $20 - $35, and I usually tip about $10, so at the end of the day if I buy a product, I'm walking out of there at least $100 poorer after taxes, but I would say it's worth every penny. I sincerely look forward to my visits to Salon Ten. It's a small splurge for myself and I couldn't imagine anyone but Jessie touching my hair. Unless she makes some ridiculous career mistake and decides to move to Super Cuts, I'm sticking with her and Salon Ten!
