Customers were swarming. Parked bumper to bumper in the ditches and shoulder of the road. Pulling out, pulling in. In every direction..... The parking lot at LAKe Country diner was also crowded with cars. Park on the grass. Surprised; the inside of the diner is roomy. Even with the crowd there were plenty of tables and booths available. Seat yourself. The waitresses were having to hustle. Eventually we had coffee and menus. They have an excellent breakfast buffet. Me, sticking with the usual cooked to order. Not bad at all in this day and age, especially for really good food, which is what we got. My burger was one of the best I've had in years and will replace one of my top 10 on my burger list. It was frankly near perfect. My wife said hers was equally good and we loved the fries and onion rings. The fried pies were good as well. I've had better pies but they were damn good.
