I'm surprised to be the first to review this place as I've been here on the rare occasion and it's a solid venue to have a party or an anniversary, to celebrate your wedding or to simply attend one of their banquets. It's a good time. As most typical halls do, Costa Del Mare provides its guests with cultural entertainment. For those of you coming here, newsflash... it's very Italian! OOH!! So expect them to show case it loud and proud. The music plays the old Italian classics as you dance and weave through your dinner services until you groggily put your coat on and make your way to your car when the evening is done. They play other types of music but expect a taste of Italian love. What really stood out for me was Mr. Palermo who was our host for the evening. He was very amiable and really into the celebration. He had a wide variety of impromptu gifts for his guests. He knew people's birthdays and special moments and they were called up and given gifts all night long. Very unexpected. This left a very positive impression. There was also a lottery for donations and a whole bunch of gifts for guests when their numbers were called up. We enjoyed this very much. Perhaps because we were winners of something pretty cool. :) As far as food goes, it was very typical what you get at a hall. Appetizers and desserts are banquet style and all you can eat, everything else in between is set course style. For me, this was probably the weakest portion of the event. I found most of the food to be very average, a sharp contrast to the fun I was having with the entertainment and of course.... the open bar. :) GLUG GLUG GLUG One plate stood out for me was the main course, the pork was REALLY good which took a 2 star meal all night to an average 3 stars for me. The event was $90 per person and I think it has value since you get here at 6 PM and can leave as late as 3 AM. There's plenty of entertainment and food. Open bar, that's at least worth half the price right?!? Good times. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and will probably come back.

I'd recommend to anyone who is looking for a NY that's outside of the house parties and club scene the crowed is mixed and tables come in placements of 10 so 5 couples is ideal for a full table and tickets sell out fast. The music was off the hook and they gave out door prices and Gold star entertainment provided light sticks glow rings and other great party favors!

I can't wait to see it all come together on November 13th! : )

They tried, but their attempts at exotic dishes missed the mark. The room where the talks were held was very big with high ceilings and semi-stadium seating so that people in the back could see. The screen wasn't huge, but it was big enough. The last night we had a banquet in the large ballroom on the top floor, and that was very nice. It looks like a wedding venue. It would make a very nice wedding venue actually and I'm sure they have them there all the time. So it was a little weird feeling like I was at a wedding with a bunch of virus scientists.... The service during lunch/dinner was great. The waiters were nice and attentive. No complaints there. Overall, I liked the venue and wouldn't mind going back there for another meeting. Be careful with the food though.

I expect dried chicken but instead got veal filet. And I don't even know what that desert was except it was freaking amazing. As convention centers go, it works. I had never been to this reception hall and to be honest with you, I wasn't looking forward to it…read more It seemed bit run down, old fashioned almost and at most halls, the food is "whatever". I was definitely proven wrong. The bartender was an absolute doll! He was sweet, warm and remembered my drink throughout the night after having to place my order with him only once (he was GREAT at his job!). The waiters were ready to help you with any question or request you had. And the food... WAS AWESOME! The meal consisted of lots of different types of food; from sushi to smoked meat to canelones. Everything was fresh and tasty. The sushi was so fresh and well made! The pasta was warm and full of flavor. I was really pleasantly surprised! I'd definitely recommend this place!

We had a mixed experience working with this company to plan our wedding at their Salon Richmond,…read moreand felt it was important to share. On the positive side, the space is stunning and the food was excellent - both were highlights for us. However, our experience on the planning side raised several concerns. Communication and expectations were unclear from the outset. We initially believed we would be working with one team member, but later learned that a different person would be managing our wedding, which was not clearly communicated and created confusion early on. Throughout the process, we found the planner's approach to be rigid and not particularly collaborative. We were open to guidance, but often felt that our preferences were dismissed in favor of doing things a specific way. During our tasting, for example, some of our menu selections (chosen directly from the venue's own offerings) were criticized as not being "classy" or "elegant," which felt inappropriate and unnecessarily condescending. There were also multiple instances that felt unprofessional, including meetings starting late and recurring interruptions during scheduled time together. We also encountered a significant issue regarding payment transparency for a vendor booked through the venue. A deposit we paid was invoiced as a payment toward the band, but was not fully applied as such, and this was not disclosed at the time of payment. The matter was only resolved after escalation. While it is clear that the team is capable of executing events, our experience did not reflect the level of professionalism, transparency, or care that is essential when planning a wedding. A wedding is not just another event, and the planning process requires a level of respect, communication, and client focus that we did not consistently experience here. Due to these concerns, we ultimately chose to move forward with a different venue, as we did not feel confident continuing with the planning process. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this venue for weddings. Couples should proceed with caution and ensure they have a clear, documented understanding of vendor payments, responsibilities, and expectations before committing!
